I said I was sending a family member over for a smog check -- and I told the family member that I had been promised a rate of $45 including certificate. My family member comes home with the receipt totalling $58.20. "Oh they said it would be an additional charge." My appologies. My last review, 11 years ago wasn't kind or necessary. This is a 5 star outfit, because of their employees. As Good As It Gets, Folks. They're quick, polite, accurate and thorough. If 2015 was our 3rd visit, this year are our 15th and 16th. Since 2018, our 2 cars come up for smog about 2 months apart. I see them twice and then return 22 months later. I count on them. They're open 6 days a week. Have a lovely waiting room that's indoors. This year, our newer car had an intake air leak that the On Board Diagnostics II read-out identified. Funny, dealership didn't spot it 3 months ago. Big, obvious,, crack, in the ribbed plastic tube between the throttle/sensor and the pipe that carries air to the engine intakes. Starting at 2:30pm on a Friday, the dealer's shop *did* start work that night and were done the next day. Back to "TIme 4 Smog." I was 4th in line, but it moved quickly, and, no surprise, the car passed! 5 Stars. And the other customers are always interesting people. 1) If I could get my act together I'd get the coupon price everytime. I can't, and I don't. Can't say I don't know. Get the coupon. You'll save money. 2) The stations have NO choice about what the forms for the state say. They don't decide what details the machinery produces. read more

This review is due from a couple of years ago. I was just new to smogging my cars, I have multiple and suddenly they all were required to get smogged to renew registration and I tend to leave things to the last minute. So I had actually found one place closer to me with a great price of $49 + certification fee but they were closed on Monday. On my way, I passed this place and pulled up. Not sure if the pricing is based on looks or what it was over $90. I was like huffing and puffing and even told him I just got one done for $49. He laughed and basically wished me good luck with that. I was like okay and I left and found another place for $49 + cert. fee. I later realized this place is right next to DMV, which makes sense why they can charge higher prices as people are probably in a bind to get their registration done. read more

Would recommend showing early close to opening if going on a weekend day, although their opening time is a little flexible. Everything was quick and professional. I was very impressed by the man (with his cute dog) who helped me today and who may, in fact , run the business. My car ultimately did not pass the smog test because I rarely drive it anymore. The mechanic was supportive and informative, letting me know in the kindest way how it would likely pass on a retest if driven some distance on the freeway first. I highly recommend this smog testing site because of the personable and professional service I received, the roomy parking lot , and the convenient location. One caveat, though, is to check on what time they really open, as on some online sites it says 8 a, and others say 9 a and 10 am! He actually arrived between 9a and 10 am today.
