They explained what tests my car had to run during a drive, and I was able to find a step by step guide for my make and model to make sure those were all completed. Don't wander too far, though, because this place probably processes through each car in under fifteen minutes. Even with a three cars ahead of me, I probably wasn't there for more than an hour. Since they are local to where I live, I decided to show up earlier today around 3pm. No appointment was needed. I drove onto the premises and was seen within a minute of arriving. WHEN: Monday @11am Well I'll be damned. This place is so amazing. It's been so long since I brought in any car for a smog check and I rightfully am nervous about the whole process (like do I give them the paperwork? Will they give me one to mail back? Do I need to explain anything? Etc) Anyway, place is easy to spot and they have an entrance you just drive right though, and stop where there's a stop sign. Star immediately came to me after she finished speaking with another customer. She told me exactly what I needed to do: - Give her my DMV paperwork - Fill and sign a form - Leave the keys in the ignitions and get out They have a waiting area but due to Covid we just wait to the side, it's fine. Before I know it, just 10 minutes later, Star brought me into her office where we completed the transaction, fully explained: - The car passes the smog check! - They will send the certificate to the DMV - I get a copy of that certificate! - A receipt and the application I filled out is all attached to it! Oh wow Star is amazing, I really appreciate her. With the Yelp Check-in Promo, everything came out to be a flat $40! And I was barely there! I just walked to my care and drove straight out. As simple as it gets. They are set up as a 'drive thru' in that what looks like part of a group of buildings. The driver actually drives into the building garage, attendant takes your only request for a smog check, get out of the car, wait, get a call back car is ready, pay and drive your car home. Such a seamless setup. Wish most errands were just as smooth. They electronically submit your smog test result to DMV and then you repeat the next your time you need a smog test :) read more
