Walked in needing to have the bracelet of a new Omega Speedmaster I had purchased sized to fit my wrist. Immediately struck up a conversation about the guy at the counter's Rolex datejust. He was able to resize it super quickly, showed me how to use my micro adjustment bracelet, and measured the lug width so I could put new bracelets on. I believe the guy was named Ivan, was definitely satisfied and although I'll probably just modify the links myself in the future in the event you do need a battery replaced or a watch band resized I would strongly recommend these guys (and I'm a pretty critical person usually). read more

What a great guy! He was able to get my Apple Watch band off. I went to the Apple store and they couldn't get the band off and said to go to a jeweler. I looked upstairs and saw the Bay Side watch store. He was sooo nice and was able to get the band off. read more

If you want anything watch related do not go near this place. I walked in, nicely dressed, with my kids. The owner sat behind the counter and stared at me for 5 minutes while I walked around. Never once greeted us. Another guy came in and asked about the new g shock watches and he pointed two cases down and said, "they are over there". But the clincher for me is the fact that he never stood up. Not one time. And he was not working on anything. Everything I looked at was over retail pricing. Strange place. Shouldn't last through the end of this year unless it is a front for some "other business". And to the other review on this place, also a one star, you can get your watch battery changed at Something Special, a really nice store on the Windsor Town Green in Windsor for $6.50. read more

Mixed reviews. I have been in three times. The first time, they fixed a clock for me. The work was well done, within reason, with one exception, they did not put the face back on straight but that was easily fixed. The second time, I went to get a watch battery. I did not want to wait for Sear's. They fixed it quickly and for (a little less) money than Sear's charges. When I went in last weekend to get a watchband, they wanted TWICE (no kidding) the price that Sears was charging for similar bands. The band was marked $65. He offered to sell it to me for $50 and made it sound like a deal. I went to Sears the next day (they were closed that night) and got a just as good band for $28. read more

I was referred to Bayside Watch and Fahim Adel by a friend when I asked her - a sort of watch collector like me - where I could find a replacement watch BAND. I had already searched on the internet somewhat for where to buy watch bands only and found nothing. Since Bayside Watch was in the downtown Santa Rosa Plaza this was convenient to go into one day when I was down there. I didn't look at any of the other merchandise and was directed in a friendly manner to the case of bands sitting on the counter. I did find the bands to be more expensive than I was expecting. Probably overpriced. The one I liked best was $200. but very nice. I went for another one instead, also of about the same quality, but priced lower. He sold it to me for half price which I thought was very nice. Then he put it on the watch for me after taking off the old one that was worn and looking bad. I know I was dealing with the owner because I told him my friend recommended I come in and he would help me. When I first walked in he was helping another customer, but he did greet me when I first walked in. He told me he had been in that same location for 18 years. That is a long time to be in the same place, and I figured he must have been doing something right to be there that long. It's probably not a cheap location for a store of this size only selling time pieces. Anyway, not sure where else I would buy a band, maybe I should look harder on the internet. But, now I get emails from Amazon everyday about watches, and they don't sell bands - phooey! Fahim doesn't do that to me which I am grateful for! read more

I took my watch to Bayside when Sears Watch and Repair's rude associate could not open it to replace the battery. The gentleman who waited on me at Bayside was very nice. He opened my watch in 1 minutes and had the battery replaced in 2. A $20 fee and we were done. I would recommend Bayside watch to anyone seeking friendly, competent repairs to their watches or clocks. read more

This place is a joke. I brought my watch in to have him replace the battery because it was my husbands grandfathers watch and before he passed away he gave it to me. So for sentiment sake I never wanted to let it stop working as a reminder that he is always with us. First off the owner or manger tells me that it was broken when I brought it to him, which was his first lie! It was working fine I just wanted to replace the battery before it stopped working! He then proceeds to tell me after I told him that he broke it "I'm not in the business of braking watches I fix them. Besides it's a Timex and they are cheap watches anyway. Give me your number and I will call you in a week. I will put a new motor in it." I ignored the cheap comment but made sure he knew that was besides the point. Fast forward a week and I still hadn't heard from him so I call him and he says " it may be ready by Sunday." I told him it better be ready by Sunday and I will be there to pick it up! Come Sunday I pick it up and am happy with it until the next day when I notice it is behind by a couple hours. He not only didn't fix it but he made it worse. I tried to wear it for a week but after having to constantly adjust the time I said I need to keep it home. This morning I go to see if it is working and it is completely dead. This place is a scam and need to be outed!!! Horrible business sense and shitty customer service! read more

Haha. Walked in and had to say hello to the guy sitting behind the counter. When I asked if he could help me with fixing my watch, he looked back at his phone and said " I don't know". When I asked if he had any parts or could give me an estimate he said "I don't know". Then I asked how long it might take and he said "I don't know. You can leave it with use for a day and we might be able to let you know if we can fix it. I can't tell you how much it might cost either. " Basically it was the worst experience I've ever had in a retail store. Definitely didn't leave a watch with them. It's probably a front for something because the guys didn't seem like they even knew what a watch was. read more

I came in for a new battery and a watch band. The owner was really helpful finding me a band that fit right correctly- I have a very small wrist. He even added an extra hole so that I could have choices on the size. I was in and out in less then 15 minutes. read more

The service is fantastic, here. My watch was running slow, so I dropped in for a new battery. Owner replaced the battery, lightly oiled the timepiece, then placed it on a machine to "work out" the cause of the sticking. Finished within 10 mins, and watch runs like new. I highly trust Bayside Watch, and would definitely recommend it! read more

I walked in he was with a customer (Edgar) he let me know that he would be with me in a few minutes, once he finished with the customer, I had a new watch, the band was to big, Edgar wasn't sure if he could adjust it, then he said well lets see what I can do, well Edgar was awesome he adjusted the watch band to the best fit, I highly recommend Bayside, I have been the two other times as they always go put of there way to take care of the customer, I feel they do not over charge as in the other reviews. This place is a JOKE!!! Never ever go near this place! Came here with mom to look for watches and she told me which one she likes a lot and it was $200 watch and she told me she will save up for it then i came back 2 days later to see it since Mothers day was getting close i told the owner who was there the last time we were there if he remembers me and he was like "yeah, i remember your mom likes this watch" I told him I will get it for her as a mothers day present and he said it is $350!!! I was so shocked and i said you told my mom it was $200 and he said he did not and showed me a different watch and said this one is the $200 so i did not argue and got the watch for $350. TODAY, this is the last draw!!! came to have my watch batteries changed and he said it will be ready 10-15 mins and it is $15, me and my husband decided to walk around the mall and I was busy shopping and i asked him to pick the watch up and pay $15....the guy told him it took 2 batteries to replace it and it will cost us $30!!!!!!! i researched and my watch only have one battery!!!!!! Liars and this store should close!!!! I hate hate hate hate Liars and how can you fool people over and over again!!!! you will never get my business again and i will tell my clients specifically to never go to your shop! Terrible customer service! I purchased a watch for my boyfriend. It was not quite his style. And three weeks later I went to return it. He only tried it on briefly. A woman was running the cash register when i returned it.She told me I was an " unethical ,bad person" for trying to return jewelry after one week of purchase and that it was their store policy that she could not take the watch back because she could not resell it. I have never been treated so poorly. I'm filing a formal complaint. read more

i am a watch aficionado, and have been in this store several times. tThe only time I spent money there was to have a second hand reattached on a cheap quartz watch - $30 repair, lasted two days. As the previous poster said, this place is overpriced, as the owner marks up watches at whim (WAY over msrp) and then discounts. Heres my latest visit: found a watch I liked. Was quoted $229, then offered a deal at $200 out the door. Since I did not have a lot of knowledge on the brand, I called my wife who looked it up, found the MSRP to be $225, and readily available on the web for $100, no tax, no shipping. Owner then told me that HIS MSRP was $280, and that I wasn't the right kind of customer for his store (I guess he meant smart, nonimpulsive customers with internet access). Avoid.
