I changed to Spectrum cell service so so good, good reception. Also we have Spectrum internet service and like it very much. We went the store today (03/07/2025) to buy new phones and was forcefully told he couldn't switch phones because it was still locked because of find my phone stolen safety lock. He did not seem happy we came in to spend money. He told us how long it would take to transfer phone information trying to us give up. Maybe he was having a bad day. read more

This is hands down one of the worst in store experiences I've ever had. Yelp needs to allow for zero stars. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would have awarded it if it were available based on previous reviews. There are 11 people in line (I'm #3) despite 4 people working, only ONE is assisting customers. I'm watching the "manager" sit at a computer and only come out when a customer raises their voice. Oh wait! There are FIVE people working. Another gentlemen just showed up from the back. There are enough kiosks for more of them to be assisting customers. What an awful customer experience. I wish I could get rid of this service bc I vote with my dollars. read more

Had a problem with our TVs in the rental unit and Mark came out ... first, 30 minutes ahead of schedule. B, the window was 60 minutes long - unheard of. Usually it's like four hours. I am a three year customer of Spectrum Internet. I will be leaving them as soon as my Hargrave service is installed. My internet speed is less than 25 percent of what I am paying for and customer service told me I was at fault for not replacing my three year old equipment. I've been to this store and the customer service regarding switching phones from ATT to Spectrum was wonderful. BUT I need this store's direct phone number. I cannot find it anywhere. None of the 888 or 866 numbers for this store is a direct number. It goes to the call center and the call center cannot answer my question. They tell me to drive to the store and ask. BUT I'm an hour and half away. Ridiculous. The "chat with us" on this store's site is the call center robot. The Chamber of Commerce number for this store is not the local number. The Facebook page for this store does not have a message button nor a local number. DUMB! read more

I just had to drop off my equipment since I sold my house and there was a line so I asked if I had to wait and they said yes. After a hour, I set the equipment on the desk, took a picture of it and walked out. If you want painfully slow customer service, this is the spot. I called them to move my service to my new home and the agent said that I needed to speak to a different department so she transferred me. I waited for 45 minutes then hung up and called Hargray. Apparently I need to leave a star but this place is ridiculous. All I was doing is RETURNING a modem. I bring the modem up, they ask to see my id, and tell me I can't RETRUN it because my husband's name is on the account, not mine. Even though we have the same address, last name, etc. I would be more understanding if I was picking something up but, again, RETURNING. Now, I either have to drive all the way back to near my home and take it to UPS or have my husband call and spend 15 minutes putting me on the account. Which, he already spent an hour the day before on the phone with them because they fraudulently raised our bill by moving us to a "higher" package without asking. The people working at this location today, Thursday, May 18th, 2023.... We're terrible!!! There was a man (?) and a woman (Cheryl) who could not get us out of the store fast enough. My wife and I walked in to buy a cellphone for our son and discuss a service issue. Even with the store empty they wanted nothing to do with us. Imagine how bad there service was that even with the free Spectrum Mobile being offered to us, we chose to go down the street and pay for a service plan at AT&T?!?! @spectrum needs to train their employees and have some standards for them to maintain! read more

I can't believe I'm writing a five star review for Spectrum, but here goes! I had 2 boxes that I needed to replace bc they weren't working correctly. I expected to wait for a long while because I went around 11 am and even took a book with me. I went in, signed in at the screen and didn't even have time to sit down. They had at least 5 people working. Anthony Nowack was the man who helped me and he could not have been nicer. He actually acted like he was happy I was there -- imagine that!! I got my 2 boxes with remotes and great instructions and was out of there in under 10 minutes. Maybe Spectrum is trying a little harder, but in any case, the Hilton Head location certainly is. Cheryl and Dan were great today (Saturday). I came in and there was only one other customer there and 3 people behind the counter Cheryl called me right over and I asked to pay my bill and explained I didnt receive it in the mail. Both Cheryl and Dan were professional and personable and gave me Great service. They solved my problem and also scheduled a service appointment for me. I am a local business owner. I apologize but this Scam Demic has destroyed a lot of people and small businesses and spectrum is no exception. I have been there during the week waiting in line too. I have left because I had other things to do also. This doesn't negate the fact that Cheryl and Dan are doing what they can to help. They did a Great job. I live in an "independent living" facility on Hilton Head. Internet service is included, and is provided by Spectrum. The entire facility has been without service for nearly two days. Previously, the only time I was without service this long was in the aftermath of a devastating hurricane! Our facility director has been working from her home in order to have wifi to do her job. She just told me by phone that Spectrum is offering lots of promises but no action. I would NOT recommend this firm to any business or private user. read more

On Friday, May 26, 2017 I called Spectrum around 1PM to add an HBO/Starz package to my existing account. I have been a loyal customer for almost 2 years and have had Intelligent Home for about 9 months. I have paid my monthly bills on time. After a 30-minute call with a Spectrum representative I was to have a Gold Level addition of channels to my account. The representative then recognized that I also have Intelligent Home and said I had to go through the Intelligent Home representative in order to get the Gold Level channels added. After getting transferred to the Intelligent Home service, that representative informed me that he does not add channel service and that my Intelligent Home service had just been discontinued a few minutes prior! Obviously, the initial representative had discontinued my Intelligent Home service. I had called to add channels to my existing television service. I did not call regarding anything about Intelligent Home. After another 20-30 minutes of transfers I asked to speak with a manager. The leadership team member attempted to clarify the account and informed me that my Intelligent Home service had been discontinued and had to be re-installed through a home visit. The next 20 minutes were spent trying to organize a day and timed to install the service. I was in Hilton Head for a specified amount of time and was requesting service during my stay there. I expected that since Spectrum incorrectly discontinued my service that Spectrum would kindly accommodate me and have a service technician come to my home the next day to install the service. The dispatch service called me and offered an appointment on a day when I would not be on the island. They could not come any time during my stay on Hilton Head. I then called back again and after another 20-30 minutes finally made an appointment for July 20, 2017 between 9-10AM. I received an email confirming my appointment for JUNE 20th! I then called again and spent another 15 minutes arranging an appointment and was informed that Spectrum does not schedule out that far into the calendar and I was to call back early in July. I am stunned at the level of incompetence at many levels regarding the interactions and phone calls with the many representatives at Spectrum. I was on Hilton Head Island for a medical conference and I had to leave the conference to deal with this issue for most of the afternoon and into the evening hours. I rely on Spectrum for security of my home and as of today, I do not have security service! In addition, one of the representatives said she would waive the installation fee of $49.95! I had specifically asked and expected that since Spectrum had incorrectly discontinued my service that I would not be charged for the installation fee. This just added to the level of incompetence and only added to my stress level. I hope that all your employees had been recorded during the phone calls to be used as tools to help others on how to NOT handle loyal employees who call for simple requests. read more

If I could choose NO STARS, I would of. My problem with TWC - I was charged for the activation of a second outlet and a router. The condo I'm renting already has the outlet activated and working! I purchased my own router too. I have been to the retail store three times to resolve this problem. The first and third time at the TWC store, their was only one person working and many people in line. After waiting way too long, I left. Do not get Spectrums streaming tv access. It goes out A LOT!!! At least once a week (most of the time twice a week) the network channels are not available for a long period of time. Their television streaming is horrible in my opinion and I do not recommend it! read more

I felt sorry for many people they brought in to try to help loyal Time Warner customers try to make their TVs work after Spectrum changed to digital. Good concept but TVs stop working without required boxes. Long, long lines rude hosts and exhausted customer agents trying to keep up with angry customers waiting in line for up to two hours. Dropped Hargray phone after 38 years of mostly excellent service and bundled phone with cable and Internet 8 days ago. During that time, I've had perhaps 15 hours of phone service in bursts after installation and 2 service calls. I would have liked more service calls, but you have to wait 2-3 days for service, and they don't work weekends! Tomorrow they return, but I have little faith. I should have heeded the warnings, but I did not. Had service connected in September. Bill was to be sent to my permanent residence. Never received a bill and service was cancelled with no warning. I called and learned about the issue and paid the bill in full. Service was to be restored within minutes. Fine. No problem except that it wasn't restored. After two phone calls about 45 minutes each, I was told that everything was straight and I just needed to call back in the AM. It would be "easy peasy" to reconnect because the rep had put everything down in the notes. I did call in the morning, but now there was a new story. They could reconnect my internet and tv package but now an inferior package was going to cost me 30 dollars more per month plus a reconnect fee of 30 dollars. I even went into the local office to try to talk to a reasonable customer service representative. Very poor customer service. They lost my business and I will be switching my main residence to another service provider as well. read more

I honestly believe Time Warner must teach a class in How to Give Terrible Customer Service. You walk in and the employees don't even acknowledge you - let alone greet you. Then act like you're just a nuisance to there day if you ask a question. My cable box went out so I brought it in and traded for another. Took home and set it up and it did not work. Took this new box back to the office and had to wait 15 minutes while the girl behind the counter put away her inventory. She told me she would get to me when she was through! Took this box home and got a message that it was not an "authorized box". Called the number and have been on hold 20 minutes so far. This company may be the worst for customer service in the world. The problem is that I have no other option. Our condo development does not allow Dish and there are no other cable providers. I might be better off with just a good book and the radio! read more
