Master craftsmen like Alexander are busy for a reason, and the vast majority do not take on small side projects. Take a quick glance at his work on his website and you'll see what I mean.  I loved working with Alexander. He is professional and has a lifetime of experience. This was particularly important for our project in an old building, with warped, uneven walls that were difficult to drill into. Many people told us it would not be possible to do this project, but Alexander had the skillset to make it happen. He was able to adapt on the fly and work very quickly while maintaining the quality and look we were hoping for. He is a wizard, and even took apart one of our cabinets and redesigned it upside down on the fly so it would open properly under the heavy oak desktop. I was able to watch and learn alongside him. It's like watching an artist at work. As a bonus, he has great stories about old townhouses in Brooklyn if you like architecture and history.   I highly recommend this local business. It's been several months since we completed the project. We've added a dual-screen computer plus books and other heavy objects to the desk and it is solid. The cabinets are working perfectly. On top of the fact that Scott gave me an extremely reasonable quote, it was a no brainer to hire S&S. Scott helped us expertly cut the bottom of one of our doors to make room for a high pile rug as well as hang a few items on our walls. Everything came out great with no surprises.
