When I got there they did all the X-rays, poked the gum, and then the resulting dentist came in and looked at my mouth for less than 10 seconds. He declared that we should remove the tooth, and then declared I had 3 cavities as well. They did not tell me to do a salt wash and see if the gum irritation cleared up, nor did they say to take any medication. In my shock, I scheduled a follow up to remove the tooth and fill in my new cavities. Then I got home and did some research. I did a salt wash for two days and the swollen gum went down to normal. Then I booked a secondary opinion appt at another dentist. Once again did the whole X-ray and other checks. Not a single cavity, nor did they think the tooth should be removed. Horizon is unprofessional and took advantage of an urgent situation. I cancelled all appts and moved onto another dentist. I highly recommend you consider before moving forward on anything with them.

They got back to me first thing Monday morning and got me in that afternoon to see the doctor. Infection had set in by that time and I was starting to feel feverish, but the moment I walked in the door, I began to feel better. Everyone there, from the front desk receptionist to Dr. Lowry's assistant, to Dr. Lowry himself was friendly, caring and responsive to my needs. They clearly communicated my options and convinced me to go with a less invasive procedure. Because of Dr. Lowry's careful preparation and numbing of the area, the extraction itself was absolutely painless. I didn't even realize that he had removed the tooth until he offered to show it to me. Afterwards, Dr. Lowry and his assistant made sure that I understood the post-care protocol and took the time to answer all of my questions. I live in Seattle and visit Boise for work. The cavity was below the gumline, so I was really worried about how he was going to get to the cavity. He was able to painlessly push my gum down enough to get to the cavity and do the filling. It didn't hurt at all, and my gum wasn't even sore afterward! I have a lot of sensory issues, but I felt totally relaxed and just watched some of my favorite shows on the overhead screen with the headphones they provided and a nice warm blanket on my legs.
