Being that I was in my 20s, I desperately did not want to have total joint replacement but after seeking consultation from a dozen different orthopedic surgeons across socal, it became clear that a THR was my only resolve. I went with Dr Barnett because he spent nearly 2 hours answering my VERY long list of questions and concerns. Together we went into the procedure with a plan A, B, and even C based on the concern of the integrity of my femur head since potential need for a bone graft may have been necessary. He was honest and upfront about not fully knowing the scope of the bone integrity. I appreciated him being forthright and transparent. His bedside manners were some of the best I've ever experienced from any medical practitioner. It is thanks to Dr Barnett and his team, that I had a smooth recovery with no surprises or road blocks of any kind. It is truly incredible how excellent my mobility, my strength and overall flexibility is. Nearly a decade later and I often forget my hip is bionic! I believe it's 75% the doctor(s) and the other 25% is the patients responsibility in terms of successful outcome. I couldn't be more pleased with Dr Barnett exceeding his part. I hope that he's still practicing when it's time for my revision because he will surely be my first choice. I've even recommended him to several other friends/family friends - all had similar fantastic experiences. Reading through the reviews on here, I feel like a lot of negative feedback is due to the patients neglect of doing their own research and homework. Not to mention the importance of after care. You get what you put in when it comes to post op care and therapy. I not only paid for extra physical therapy beyond what my insurance covered, but I've worked with myofascial specialists, chiropractor and ROLFing clinicians. The culmination of all of the above over the years has me in the best shape of my life! I'm more active and stronger now than I ever thought possible thanks to Dr Barnett and the entire team of therapeutic practitioners that have helped keep me dialed. Thank you Dr Barnett's team for redeeming and exceeding my quality of life!

From the very beginning, he took the time to explain every detail of my injury and treatment plan in a way that made me feel informed and confident. I truly felt like I was in the best hands possible. Thanks to Dr. Wang's skill and guidance, my knee has continued to improve, and I'm making steady progress. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of an orthopedic surgeon -- especially for complex knee injuries. I was a wreck when I began seeing Dr. Chang. He took the time to find the right meds and really listen to how I was feeling in order to make the appropriate medication changes that basically helped me get to where I am now, which is like he gave me my life back. Dr Chang also does a variety of injections (trigger point and others) that significantly improved my ability to walk. I attribute that to his knowledge and doing the correct injections that are necessary for my individual pain issues. I am so blessed to have Dr Chang managing my pain. I look forward to each office visit, knowing he intently listens to how I am doing and truly cares. Thats something I wish for anyone suffering with chronic pain. The entire staff is truly wonderful. I just love them all, they are always so nice and professional. The office decor is beautiful and has a relaxing feel. *** Update June 2019 *** Dr. Eric Chang has continued providing amazing care. I had been a patient of Orthopedic Specialty institute [OSI] in the City of Orange in 2008 for a Knee PAIN and the Knee Specialist was able to CURE my Knee without Surgery! I was very pleased with the Results and Professionalism! FORTUNATELY, I reached out to OSI after this incident and explained my diagnosis from the Orthopedic Team at the Washington State Hospitals to one of the front desk girls and she stated Dr. Daniel DeBottis is an "EXPERT" for this type of injury. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. DeBottis and he wanted fresh X-Rays which are done at his offices. Dr. DeBottis knew exactly what I needed, a REVERSE SHOULDER REPLACEMENT SURGERY. I agreed and he required some additional testing which I acted quickly on and his team scheduled the Surgery. After the Surgery, he said he was pleased with the procedure and wanted to see after 10 days for a POST-OP evaluation. At that meeting, he stated he is pleased with my recovery! Dr. DeBottis is truly a gifted man, kind, personable and addressed ALL of my questions and concerns candidly and honestly. Hopefully, you NEVER find yourself needing Surgery on your shoulders! However, if you do or need a 2nd Opinion, I would strongly suggest and urge you to contact Dr. DeBottis for an evaluation! I would definitely recommend Dr. DeBottis and the whole OSI Team of Orthopedic Specialists to my Friends and Family! I would definitely use Dr. Daniel DeBottis again for my orthopaedic needs. It has been about 5 months and I am doing well and continue to improve. I find the office to be well run with a couple of places I view as room for improvement. It is hard to get through on the phone the first time, and it is next to impossible to reach the doctor or physician when I call in with some questions I have. Patti, the scheduler, is awesome and is very helpful with all my claim questions. Also, for payment arrangements (HOAG), they went smooth and easy. Of course, I had to call them for the money they owed me!
