Had a micro disectomy about 3 weeks ago and my recovery has been great. Dr. Kahn said I had one of the largest herniated discs he has seen this year, 9.6 mm. The surgery process was a tricky one due to how large the herniation was but it went great and the pain has been completely eliminated. Dr. khan was recommended to me by a close friend whom had back surgery and neck surgery. She was basically returned back to "normal ". She came with me to see him and surgery was set for April 19, 23 I then went to rehab and as of may 1,23 Dr khan released me to go back home. I came from Las Vegas to see him. He fixed my back from L4 down that had been bothched by a Las Vegas doctor. I started walking within 2 days without the use of a cane or walker, I had been using these items for about 20yrs. I'm giving them a one due to the fact that you never can get a hold of them. The doctors are great and the PA is great and that's as far as it goes. Every time I call all I get is a message and says due to extreme volume we will be with you as soon as we can. Then the voice says you're 17 on the line and you wait for over an hour before anything happens. It also says you can make an appointment through their website which I've tried to do. And it never goes any further no one ever calls back nothing. This started as soon as they merge with these other medical groups. Also when you go there there's never enough parking. I don't know The doctors know what a terrible system they have for phones. If you have so many people waiting why don't you hire more people so they can accommodate The patients! read more

If I could give them no stars I would. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! First the scheduler would not get with me to schedule the surgery. It took me three weeks calling every day leaving messages,with the girls at the front. Finally I talked to the physicians assistant and told him I must find somewhere else. The unprofessional scheduler was not getting back to me. Then she calls me that day.I schedule the surgery. Literally six days before the surgery. I go to the hospital to finalize everything. Also to get the soap to wash the night before. They say the surgery was canceled. I called the scheduler and finally after two hours she calls me. She says yes it has been canceled. What six days before my surgery! This is a major back surgery. She never called me to tell me it was canceled. I had to go to the hospital and find out. My daughter on Saturday before the surgery purchased airline tickets. I told the scheduler who's gonna pay for these tickets? She says I don't know. Then she proceeds to tell me she found out that Friday. It is Monday at 11am. Why didn't you call me and tell me? She said it was later in the day, I don't care what time it was. If she had called me, my daughter would not have purchased tickets. She also took off 10 days of work to help me. They are very unprofessional and inconsiderate.. Spine surgery with this Dr. Avoid him like the plague! He only sees you for pre-op and operation. He and his PA are at your follow up then you won't see him again (even if you request or insist!!). So ridiculous. I had complications and he wouldn't see me but "his associate will, pet office policy." Despite pain and complications, he wouldn't see me or call me. This office is a patient mill. I would absolutely hate for anyone to go through what I did with him but I'm not the first and unfortunately won't be the last. read more

my daughter found dr. Khan in our BCBS network! He was one of 3 drs. She went to to assess her back issues that started w a car accident in 2016 in Florida. A titanium cage was placed in her back that after 4 years started to break down, literally a screw came loose and started pressure on a disc. I was nervous to have her go thru another surgery but dr. Khan listened to my daughters pain issues and decided on surgery after her MRI showed what was happening in her back. Post-op visit proved success and wounds healing perfectly. I've leaving a second review regarding the staff at Coastline Orthopaedic (as staff are often forgotten unless it's negative, right?) Dayna Fraser, Business Rep: She saw me crying and brought me into the back so I'd have privacy. I needed help and she made it happen. Because of her, my surgery was expedited. She even remembers me by name when I call many months later. PA, Son is also so friendly and competent. I feel safe and I can trust his judgement. Lastly, I'd like to commend the girls who work the desk and scheduling and who bring us back to our rooms. They rotate between doctors, so they need to know every single patient. Remember, if it's a full lobby, it means you have a good doctor and it's a good practice. read more

I think I just paid $10 a minute for a visit that left me in tears. I've been seeing a wonderful Ortho but due to insurance and networks not matching up I had to find a new orthopedic surgeon. I was told by the surgeon I trust that I needed to have a diseconomy and fusion from c3-c7 so I was very surprised when doctor Khan wanted to just give me a shot and some pain management. As soon as I questioned him, I believe his ego was insulted, he immediately sent me out of the room and told me to go to the front desk to see one of his colleagues instead. He was rude, short and couldn't explain my problems. He also told me that c3 and c4 are only connected to tissue so he wasn't planning to repair that part of my spine if he were to do surgery. I absolutely do not trust him or his opinion. His ratings are low for a reason. Please do yourself a favor and check the reviews before you put your life in a doctors hands. read more
