I called to make an appointment and was impressed with the level of professionalism and care by the receptionist in scheduling my service. Kristy booked me for a cut & color with Timothy Pamment within the week. Tim spent time with me prior to starting the process by assessing my hair - the color, texture, health etc., and talking with me about what I wanted. I've been coming here for years. I've been to Danielle, Jamie, Coco, Natalie and Mariya for a haircut. The reason I've been to them all is cause of my busy schedule and be fact that I live so far away, so I schedule with whoever is available when I can come. That being said, the last 3 times I was there, I get my usual highlights, toner and the Kerastase treatment. All costing me around $240 plus tip. The last few times, the service was mediocre. I say that cause I come in and ask for them not to do any gold in my hair. No gold toner at all. I always emphasize that, and that I want cooler, beige, sandy tones. Well the last few times, I ended up with nothing else but golden highlights. They offered for me to come back and fix it but I always tell the girls to just do what I asked for cause I live so far and have a busy schedule so I can't drive whenever they want me to. And my haircut with Mariya was definitely not worth the money. I asked for a wispy cut, I get more of a blunt cut. All that being said, I love the girls and nobody's been nasty to me, (that's what the 3 stars are for) I just don't think it's worth to spend that much money on something you're not happy with. Amazing! Don't hesitate just book your appointment. Jamie does my color and I've had Melissa and Tyler cut and blow out my hair. I've only been to the salon twice thus far but I won't be going anywhere else ever again. The service is consistent and the employees are professional and very pleasant. New to the area... saw the reviews on yelp and booked an appt... The cut is fantastic and the color fresh! The receptionists were friendly & attentive - offering beverages... they call day before to confirm... Even Timothy was there when I got my cut and he was welcoming and friendly, doing a cut himself... Katie was my stylist - Love her... Coco my colorist - Love her too! Didn't get her name, but the gal who washed my hair was wonderful! GREAT SALON! HIGHLY RECOMMEND... It was very expensive and I expected that based on what I needed to get done... and I will go back to see how it it in "normal" circumstances. They scheduled me for a hair color without a cut and didn't tell me as such until I was already getting my hair highlighted. The highlighting job was awful and everyone agreed as such. When I complained to the owner - she yelled at me in the shop and told me it was fine, when it was clearly awful. Stay far away! I called the salon this morning at 11am without an appointment and was booked for this afternoon for corrective coloring which was already an amazing experience to have with this salon! same day appointment! I walked in with dark brown/black/reddish hair with high hopes but the thought in the back of my mind that I wouldn't be leaving the salon blonde. After 4 hours of hard work Coco did an absolutely amazing job with my hair!! It's not only blonde but still even look shiny and I didn't have any chunks fall out!! Coco is a incredible hair stylist and colorist and did it all with a broken wrist! Talk about a trooper!! I will definitely be coming back for all of my hair needs to this salon! Thank you so much! Coco is most the amazing and talented colorest I have ever been to. She has taken my hair from basic dark brown to Platinum blond, red, black and most recently gorgeous caramel highlights! If I could put 0 stars I would. I had an appointment Saturday for highlights with Tyler. It would be my second appt. at this salon. I had an appt. a few weeks earlier with Terri and she did a fabulous cut on my hair to perfection. So I thought I would try them for some highlights. . .Tyler was available that Sat. and I was told she was very experienced since I had very darkest brown hair, My greetings to the salon was very friendly. which was very nice. As I was waiting. . . .for Tyle. . . .sher was running a 1/2 hour late. I ask an employee to point her out to me. Tyler was getting help on a blow hair on a lady with very long hair. As I was looking. .. the women getting her hair dried did not look happy. Tyler and the other employee was pulling and tugging on her hair with the hair brush so hard to get the job doe quicker . . . .on on each side of the ladies head! She looked like she could of gotten whip lash! Lol Did not look like an enjoyable trip to the salon for that lady. Going to a salon is suppose to be relaxing. That poor women look frantic with them rushing and pulling her head both ways . . .you can tell they were in a hurry to get the women over with and out of the salon. Tyler then introduced herself to me . . . .I have already been waiting 40 minutes at this point! We talked over what I wanted to achieve for my hair. Then Tyler went into the back room for 15 minutes. I was waiting and waiting . .hummm. .very annoying! When she came back she tells me that the salon is at risk on doing my hair for she felt she could not achieve what she thought I needed....what??? A highlighting . . . .this is suppose to be an upscale salon? Then she brought another women with her which I was never introduced and she told her to test my hair first. So she did. . .I did not see Tyler for 15 minutes since she put the bleach ona test strip on my hair. When she came back she stated the bleach needed more time to set and put me under the hair dryer. .. . .Another 15 minutes goes by and I went into the bathroom . . . .when I came out I saw Tyler siting on the from desk. . .chatting away with the recepionist!. I politely told her there was no toilet paper in the bathroom and she told me . . .don't you know there other bathrooms to go in and she then rolled her eyes. . .was terribily rude! Actually I did not know since this was my second time to the salon. But she was very rude. . . .I felt she was snotty throught the whole time I have been there. Minutes later she return to where I was seated to check the bleach in my hair which was in a very long time. . . .much too long! Looking at my watch it was almost 30 minutes while she was up sitting at the front desk chatting away with another employee. When she came back she said after she unwrapped the bleach. . .see this is what I though . .. it did not take right? She give me a mirror which I still could not see because the bleach was still on it. I could tell you with all her chatting with the other employee and with my experience of 40 years getting highlights that she left it on much to long . . . .she should have been checking it every few minutes after the 15minute check. She was too busy chatting away up front sitting on the receptionist desk??She then told me that her reputation was at stake of this salon so I cannot do your highlights.. .UGH!!!!!! I was thinking really?? I thought she was joking. . ..I am an Operating Nurse and very busy schedule. . . . ..and an upscale salon like this cannot do my highlights. . . .especially since I have been sitting around for hours now! I was so mad!! I mean the girl has no experience she does not belong there . . . .. . Timothy wake up man!!! . . . .. . this is embarrassing to your salon! Also, she was rude and snotty . .check out your cameras if you have any in the salon and look at her presents doing the woman's hair before me . . . . To end of this which is the . . . . . most (SILLEST) thing is I went home and made an appointment with Westbrook haircutters. . .which the name used to be Costcutters at Tanger outlet in Westbrook . . .And made a Sunday appointment at 1:00 with Deiliah, I have been there before. She did my highlights to perfection. . .with no complications! Hahahahahha How embarrassing is that Tomothy!!! You are an upscale experienced salon!! LOL Timothy you can call Westbrook Costcutters. It was half the amount of money and they are more experienced that your upscale salon who Tyler refused to do my hair!!!!! Timothy Pamment wake up and smell the coffee . .. . .Tyler should not be working at your salon if a employee from Costcutters can do my hair to perfection and she cannot! The staff at the Timothy Pamment Salon are the best of the best. The staff is well educated on products and the newest styles. I was in town visiting family and made an appointment so I could donate hair (my sisters and I were all making a wig for our mother who is battling cancer out of our hair). The stylist (Natalie) cut my hair first and then picked it up and put it in a ponytail instead of ponytailing it first, rendering it useless to the wig company. Then, she did not give me the cut I wanted at all. She did not give me any layers when the style that I had shown to her had many. I do not like the haircut I got and will need to go to a different salon to get it fixed. She also told me that the way I was doing my hair "did nothing for me and that I need to lay off the flat iron." We spoke to a manager later and she was very kind and apologetic. Two of my sisters went to a different stylist at the same salon and were very pleased... I believe this was a stylist issue rather than an issue with the salon.
