He also works to try to find as many savings on parts as possible which is really helpful. One of the cheapest labor rates in town so far as I can find. Sometimes it can take a while to get a repair done but that is something that comes with pricing out parts for the best deal etc. Never had to take anything back so far! Overall, very trustworthy mechanic. A+ from me!

I went inside the building sat for a few minutes and he came in and handed me the keys back. We went out and looked it over. It looked good for what I needed. No charge!! And I was on my way! I will be recommending them to anyone I talk to that needs body work.

Went in for…read morevery minor work on a fender which you had to get up on it and look at an angle to see how it was warped a little and he even said it was minor. He wrote the estimate for it and I thought it was kinda high, but never argued it because he said he could get it in right away. Then he calls one day and says the fender was damaged to much and cracked on the back so he just went ahead authorized more work and I could pick it up the next day and the price will now be over $200 more. I tried to go to the shop after work that same day and see the fender, but the secretary said he left to run a personal errand. I asked another estimator there if he could show me the fender and he would not let me see it. He said "I'D RATHER NOT DEAL WITH IT" I then went the next day to pick up the car and again Kory was not there. I asked to see the fender again and they said they didn't know if it was even still there. (This was the first warning sign. Why wouldn't anyone let me see the damage?) The secretary said he had to run another personal errand and he would be back in maybe 45 minutes, I asked if she could call him or if I could so we could talk about the price change. She really didn't want to. but I told her I was there to pick up my car and I didn't want to wait for him. She called him and gave me the phone. He told me the repair cost had changed and I told him I never tried to dispute the cost he quoted even though I thought it was high and I didn't think it was common practice to just change the cost without talking to the customer first and I had a check for the exact amount he quoted. He said he tried to call, but couldn't reach me and I said I work in a manufacturing building and it's had to get reception. I asked why didn't he text me or wait to talk to me and he said "WELL, DID YOU TELL ME TO TEXT YOU?" I said well, I didn't think you would just authorize work that would change the price without talking to your customer. There is where I could tell in his voice he was mad because his tone flipped alot like Night & Day and he said "YOU KNOW WHAT? GIVE YOUR CHECK TO THEM, TAKE YOUR CAR AND NEVER USE MY BUSINESS AGAIN" in a very stern voice. I just said ok and gave the phone back to the secretary. All this and another customer was in there just listening to me on the phone. I apologized to the secretary for putting her in the middle of this and that I just thought they would call if there was a change in price before authorizing work and she said "WE NORMALY DO" and the other customer heard that as well. So needless to say, I WILL NEVER USE McAbee Body Shop EVER AGAIN!

The 1st place I was not impressed with and they wouldn't even give me an estimate for my windshield. They gave me another number to call because they do not fix cracks-I explained I'm not sure if I need a new windshield but she insisted I call the number she gave me. When I walked in to Jayhawk I was greeted right away and told the guy I needed an estimate for my windshield, which he did w/out any hesitation. He told me he could get me in the next day but I had to be sure I could have it done financially first. I did stop at 1 more places which was a lot more. I ended up going with Jayhawk, they had the best price and best friendly service, I highly recommend them, I dropped my car off in the morning and had it back by 3:30. I'm very satisfied with their service.
