We were longtime customers of the Tin Can and, for years, it was one of our favorite places to eat. The food was consistently good, but what truly made the restaurant special was the staff and the level of service they provided. After ownership changed, we noticed many of those employees gradually left. At the time, we didn't think much of it, but after our recent experiences, it's clear that something has changed--and not for the better. Tonight was our third visit since the ownership transition, and unfortunately it will be our last. Each of those three visits involved the same server, and each visit included some form of "technical difficulties" with the ordering system. While technology issues can happen anywhere, what matters is how they're handled. Tonight, the handling of the situation was unacceptable. When we arrived, two tables that sat down after us were served well before we were. Our server eventually informed us that the ordering system was down and that management required all orders to go through the system, despite it not functioning. She took our order on a fluorescent green notepad and told us they would have to do things "old school." Within minutes, it appeared the system was back online. We waited patiently, assuming our order was being prepared. Meanwhile, the tables that arrived after us received their meals and were halfway through eating. After we had been waiting for quite some time, our server approached us holding the same fluorescent notepad and casually stated that she wasn't sure what happened with our order. When we asked whether it had been entered, she replied that she didn't really know and that there was no way to tell if it had been missed. Rather than acknowledging that our order was likely lost, the explanation felt vague and dismissive. When I asked what happened to the written order she had taken, she pulled a crumpled piece of paper from her apron and said she wasn't sure, adding that it didn't matter anyway. At that point, we had been sitting for approximately an hour with no food. There was no genuine apology, no sense of urgency, and no ownership of the situation. The most frustrating part wasn't the lost order--it was the attitude. Mistakes happen in every restaurant. What customers remember is how those mistakes are handled. As we prepared to leave, the response we received was, "Well, $hit happens... all the time." That statement perfectly summarized our experience. To make matters worse, friends of ours experienced nearly the exact same situation just weeks earlier. After waiting roughly 30 minutes for drinks and much longer for food that never arrived, they were also told there were "technical difficulties" and ultimately left without being served. At this point, it's difficult to view this as an isolated incident. When the same problems occur repeatedly with the same server and the same explanations, it points to a larger issue involving accountability, training, customer service, or all three. We understand that restaurants face challenges, especially under new ownership. However, customers deserve attentive service, honest communication, and a basic level of professionalism when things go wrong. Unfortunately, we experienced none of those things. It's disappointing to see what was once a local favorite decline to this level. We sincerely hope ownership takes these concerns seriously and invests in improving service standards before more longtime customers decide, as we have, that it's simply not worth coming back. read more

I was a regular here until I met the new owner, have to admit that I was shocked at how rude she was and quite honestly wasn't sure I would ever come back. My wife convinced me to grab burger here when she was out of town. Shocked and disappointed to see the menu shrink and the prices all increased, new owner making her mark. The truly bright spot was that the service has improved and Dakota was outstanding!! Personable, attentive, and so kind!! She is one of those gems that just lifts a person up, she cares that your experience at Tin Cup is a good one. The wings were great, and the burger was equally good. Only reason they don't get 5 stars is that the prices went up and still have that bad owner experience on my mind. read more

My "spur of the moment " best place for a really great hamburger...they are one of the few places to make a medium-rare burger. My daughter and I were here on June 7th. We were never acknowledged after waiting for 12 minutes. Two separate customers came in after us and were waited on within 5 minutes. The waitress saw us and looked at us several times, but refused to serve us for some reason unbeknownst to us. We are very nice people and tip well. Great bar... event better staff. They have a terrific selection of local craft brews on tap as well as a good selections of bottle and can beer. The Tin Can also displays a large selection of spirits. It's not too common to find my Jameson Black Barrel as well as the Jameson Caskmates but they are here. The food is tasty and arrives quickly. There are TVs, dart boards and a pool table. The best part though is the friendly staff. Each of the bartenders talk to you like you are a regular even if it's your first time. Way to expensive, Onion Rings were cold and burnt like someone was trying to reheat them. A couple of burgers and a cheese steak were nothing to be to proud of and an order of Brussel sprouts that were burnt black. If you're going to charge those prices then hire someone who can cook. A great local spot that we happened upon after leaving the Lee Metcalf Wildlife refuge. Highlights: Kid's cheeseburger and fries: child ranked his order 3.5/5 due to the fries having seasoning. Partner order: grilled chicken BLT with pepper Jack cheese, 4/5. Partner notes: waitress was friendly with good service. I ordered a BLAT, without the tin can sauce (which is garlic aioli). My sandwich was a 5/5, on nicely toasted bread with bacon, fresh lettuce, tomato and avocado. At the time the pool table was free and we enjoyed playing. The place and the staff are all awesome and very welcoming! Everything is clean, and the food is a huge step up from typical bar food! The kitchen is always coming up with a new surprise to add to the variety! Just a fun and cheerful atmosphere, and a great place to meet new friends. A friend of mine his son and daughter-in-law invited us to the Tin Can bar and Draft Room... normally I prefer a glass of wine over a beer but this was an amazing experience... I absolutely loved it it was fun trying the different kinds of beer and Jeremiah our amazing bartender even combined a couple of the beers for a great tasting beer that I hope I can remember what he combined ha ha the staff was excellent And took great care of making sure everyone had what they needed even though the place was packed they were available to offer suggestions to us newcomers as I said Jeremiah was great and Nicholas the owner made sure he went around to the tables to see if everyone had what they needed...As of April 1 it is my understanding that they will start serving food as well I would definitely recommend everyone trying this establishment! read more

First opinion is the interior, rustic, clean and comfortable with plenty of space at the bar where I prefer to sit and a ton of 8 top tables for larger parties. 24 beers on tap and a great well thought out selection. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Not a hard liquor guy myself but any mixed drinks you can think of are here. No blenders! Large screens are everywhere and pool table and darts in back. Totally worth the drive from Victor. We have two little kids and it's family friendly so that's great for us. Food arriving soon. read more
