I had a few items picked out from different sections and Zyra our waitress helped me make the best choice. We started out with the onion rings with ranch dressing and we DEVOURED THEM! We both chose the blackened catfish and were both very pleased. The fillets were perfectly cooked with nice seasoning and topped with pico de gallo. The pico added some much welcome acidity and zestiness to the dish. I ordered the pinto beans and crispy new potatoes and they were all superb. We enjoy stopping in Nacogdoches and soaking up the history and great food that the oldest town in Texas has to offer! We will definitely return to Clear Springs. My sister's food didn't come out at all , not late, not forgotten in the kitchen, just never showed up because our waitress never bothered to check on us even once after taking the order. A couple of the dishes that did arrive were wrong, and we were stuck sitting there with empty drinks for ages because she disappeared and didn't come back to the table. We literally had to wave her down from across the room just to get her attention. Only then did she realize my sister's food was missing, and instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, she immediately blamed someone in the back. As if she hadn't ignored us the entire time and wouldn't have known anything was wrong because she never checked on us. Between the missing meal, the wrong dishes, the empty drinks, and the excuses, the whole experience was a mess. We won't be returning.
