I just moved to Philly so I was hunting for a go-to nail spot and I did extensive research before coming across Tina's. It is appointment only, which I don't have an issue with because I like to plan out my self-care days anyways. I was seated immediately and asked to pick out a color while they finished up the previous customer. It's very quaint inside, they have 4 pedicure chairs and 3 manicure tables and they have drying stations as well. Linda was a little shy, I tried to make conversation but she didn't talk much. She was very thorough with my gel manicure and took her time shaping and cleaning up my nails. She was very careful applying the polish and cleaned up around the edges before curing. She also gave me fingerless gloves to stay protected from the UV. They offer to give you a massage while the top coat is curing, which I enjoyed. Tina's is the best nail salon I've ever been too! I loved the services here so much that I went regularly for 2 years before recently moving out of the city. I have yet to find another salon of this quality for their great price. They are appointment only which only added to the excellent care and attention they gave each person walking into the salon. I stopped here on my way to the Airbnb for a pedicure before hitting up an event that night. I had made an appointment prior but they do allow walk ins. Their door is locked so you have to call or knock and they'll let you in. My pedicure was your average time with callous treatment and a massage. The pedicure was fine but took forever to dry. I was under the dryer for probably 30-40 minutes and my toes were still wet. the polish was clearly put on too thick, but I had to get ready for my event so didn't have time to redo it. They offered to redo it the next day if the polish smudged but I was leaving early the next day. Even with the wrapping of my toes, the polish moved and showed the tips of my nails. The price is higher when using a card as you pay for the charge so it's better to pay with cash For the $40 because of using my card, the quality of the pedicure was not up to standards. My party of 3 came in at 4pm on a Tuesday for gel mani/pedi. I got Linda has my technician and she was very thorough and detailed. Her massages were amazing, she has such tiny hands but she's really strong!! I was surprised when she brought out the hot stones to use on my legs and after my service she gave me a neck massage which was really welcome!!! If you're ever in the area and looking to get your nails done, I'd definitely recommend this place. Their polish collection is extensive and they can do designs as well. The inside is quiet and clean and only women were the staff when I went. The music isn't too loud like other places and their massage chairs have a lot of different settings (I did the back and shoulder setting for my entire visit). My pedicure/massage took ~45 minutes :-) Price for a gel pedicure was $60 and gel mani/pedi was $95 (w/o tip). A bit expensive since I'm used to paying ~$50 for gel pedi, so that's why it isn't 5 stars. Overall, you should come here!!!! read more

One of the best salons in Philly! I've been to most of the recommended ones in Yelp and never been more satisfied than this one. Absolutely love how they do my nails every time! The employees are very friendly and I love how they only let customers inside the store so no sketchy incidents occur. I take a picture with me so they can see the feel of the design I want and they slay it every time I go. They only do natural nails with no acrylic and do not use drills to remove past gels so it feels healthier as well. Time management is excellent as they never overbook. This was my first time here for a pedicure based on good Yelp reviews. At first I was skeptical because when I walked in, it wasn't a glamorous place. It was clean but felt more family, homely vibes. But I was pleasantly surprised. First off, the owner Tina and employees are Chinese so I was able to communicate with them. They are friendly. The salon carries OPI polish including my beloved Coca Cola red color. Tip #1: Pay in CASH and the pedicure will be discounted from $30 to $27. But they do take credit cards. Tip #2: Check in on Yelp to unlock an offer of 10% off regular mani ($15) and regular pedi ($30). I knocked off one star because the employees don't wear gloves. But they do go above and beyond when giving you a foot massage. When you're done and waiting for your toes to dry, they give you a neck and shoulder massage. So it's worth the price because you essentially get a pedicure and mini express massage. I plan to return next time and pay in cash. read more

We got off to a rocky start where I wanted to come in for a pedicure. I read yelp reviews saying make sure to call before showing up and I did...I was told I could come in for 11 but there was an 11:30 appointment they were expecting. I got there and told them I needed a spa pedicure, they said they didn't have time...only for a regular pedicure. I was a little peeved that day because there was only one other person in the establishment at the time...didn't look busy to me. Well, the fact of the matter is, Tina the owner was short staffed that day and really cares about providing quality service and if she knows she cannot provide quality in a certain limited amount of time, then she'd rather not do it and I admire that. Later in the week I called ahead to make an appointment, it was only when I checked Yelp I realized the appointment was actually for closing time. She remembered our previous encounter and tried to be accommodating but I didn't know it yet. Anyway, her spa pedicure is an hour long treat...you can be a shoe model when she's done with you. Just what my tired winter feet needed. Also, I didn't know beforehand but after every service, customers get a chair massage...if you need a little more time to get out that extra little bit of tension. My friend had an ugly-looking injury on her thumb nail and needed it to be painted to look professional for an interview. I flew into freezing Philly for a wedding, and found Tina's to get a gel mani and regular pedi. It was SO COLD outside, and I was a hot mess from a redeye flight and sleeping at the airport. They let me change in their bathroom, and we're super sweet throughout. Lynn was meticulous, and when I couldn't decide on a color, she and her colleague let me try on a million shades of pink until we found the right one. She gave me an amazing foot, hand, and back massage, and was very careful cutting my cuticles. I have dancer feet and she took her time addressing all of my calluses and cuticles. The foot rub felt like it lasted forever and I was truly relaxed. The salon was extra cautious with COVID-- locking doors before customers came in and made all customers vaccinated or not wear masks and wash hands. They care about the safety of customers and time! I have pretty weak and brittle nails, and many places don't know how to deal with them. I tried Tina's because of all of the good reviews and they're not lying - this place is awesome. I got a polish change on my toes and a gel mani, and the mani included a 5 min neck and shoulder massage, arm massage, lotion etc. I came pretty close to closing and they were super accommodating.
