I've had my nails done here several times and had some hit or miss experiences, depending on the nail tech. The first time I came, I was so disappointed with how my gel nail set came out - Kathy reached out and redid them for free later that week. The result was perfect that second time. Would definitely recommend Kathy for any more complex designs or well done chrome nails. Peter was great for the cat eye gel nails I had done. They lasted and were in great condition right up until I had them removed several weeks later. They do offer a slight discount if you pay cash. There is always a fun cooking/baking show on TV there. Yeah, don't go here. I came in for a pedi, gel-x soak off, and a builder gel mani. Despite me verbally confirming with the tech that the gel extensions were soak off-able... she said "oh we only need to e-file the top layer" and she then proceeded to drill the crap out of my natural nails. The actual soaking was about 5-7 mins, when it is supposed to be 20+ with a manual scrape off at the end. My nails are naturally thin. I could literally feel the drill digging into me during the removal. Two weeks later I soaked and scraped the THICK builder gel off at home to reveal gel x glue that was not fully removed in the first place, and gouges in most of my nails from her aggressive drilling. The pedicure was fine, if overpriced. Everything done to my actual fingernails was a nightmare (don't get me started on how much it burned to cure the poorly applied builder gel off the thinnest nails. I was physically cringing and squirming and she was just like does it burn? And when I said yes she adjusted ~nothing~). I'll spend the next several months babying my nails, trying to grow them out, using strengtheners, filing them short due to their weakness and bendiness, and being unable to stick my extremely sensitive nails under a hot tap or hot shower. Like I said. Don't go here. And if you do go here, if anyone comes near you with an e-file, RUN. Editing to add: the Fresha app says I paid over 160 for the pleasure of these services, obv not including tip, which I still left despite being upset bc it's on me for not stopping the service and I believe in paying people for their time. The Fresha app says I was with Susan. Idk if she ever introduced herself to me, so I'll take their word for it. read more

I want to like this place for the convenience of location, scheduling and cute food videos but after a few visits I've noticed this is the only salon that over drills/files with tools to the point of nails becoming so weak and brittle they crack and its painful. During my last visit I overheard multiple clients complain but trying to be polite about nails being cracked and the tech tried to upsell the Gel X which is supposed to "make nails healthly" and of course is overpriced. It's a shame. They could have just relied on good nail etiquette and technique and had many repeat loyal and happy customers. Such a shame. I am late doing a review only, but it took me a little bit to actually review the work to decide if I would return. I will return to try them out again because I HATE the colors I picked out!! Also, the pedicure could have been done better, so I will look better after getting the services. I like showing a picture and telling them that's what I'm looking for. I DID like the fact: there is signage around the entryway that using a debit/credit card will have a 2% service fee. I will know to use that option. Finally settled on trying out after spending an hour on yelp and social media - this seemed like the best spot! I got there a few minutes early but they took me right away! Sabrina did my nails and did them fast and perfectly. Everyone else there seemed to be regulars and love the salon. They give you a price apparently based on how you look or whatever they feel like charging you for that day. They don't have a menu sheet with prices or anything. Totally absurd. I've gone to Queens to get dip on my nails for about 5 months now. The nails end up looking nice however the last 3 times I've gone I have gotten chrome on top: first time 0$ upcharge, second time 10$ upcharge and most recently 15$ upcharge. When asked about why it was 10$ the previous time no one could answer and said it was always 15$, I felt like I was being gaslit. Secondly the woman who did my nails this most recent time continued to knick my nail cuticles and left several of them bloody and sore and just said sorry afterwords, I was very close to getting up and leaving. Loved my manicure with Kim! I was the first person there on a Friday morning but I'm glad I went early because it got packed fast! Everyone was nice and accommodating. I got a full set with gel polish and Kim did a great job. I wish she would have done some cuticle care and work on the skin around my nails, but the manicure itself was flawless. She just got right to work on my nails and didn't do much for my dry, sad cuticles. Another woman in the salon helped with the design i asked for, I'm so happy with the results! I made an appointment with one of the nail technicians, and they had no regard for the appointment whatsoever. It was like I hadn't even made one. It is the second time I have gone to the salon since new ownership. The first time I was rushed through my appointment, my second appointment I had to wait and did not get the technician I requested. In the 10+ years I have NEVER had an issue. Not an apology not an anything, even after I told the receptionist my frustration. The owners act like entitled kids. I got a "pedicure" this morning and from the time I sat in the chair until she was about to polish my toes is was only 6 minutes long... 6 minutes for a $45 pedicure! She barely even touched my feet. I got back and my feet looked like they hadn't even been touched, no exfoliation what so ever. Do not waste your time or money. So disappointed. I have gotten my acrylic nails done here as well and they fall off within a few days. They rush you along and don't spend the time nails and toes are supposed to take. They say there is a $20 minimum credit card but then always ask for cash and tell you to use the ATM. Sorry but you're charging me an arm and a leg for horrible service and then you want me to pay an ATM fee so you don't have to pay for the credit card fee. No, that is absurd. Don't ever go here!
