A great location with a knowledgeable, friendly staff. I was there the last two days and tried two separate cigars. The last being one of Alabama's own GTO brand of cigar. I must say that I enjoyed this cigar. In addition to the cigars, they had a good selection of pipes. I have been intrigued by the idea of investing in a pipe and pursuing this indulgence. I asked a few questions, which they gave each question a knowledgeable and complete answer. Prices were competitive for both the cigars and the pipes. I will definitely return to the Tinder Box when I am in Mobile, Alabama. Who knows, maybe next time I might walk out with a pipe in my hand. Since living in Alabama, I've frequented this location for my cigar needs. They have a good selection of my favorites as well as many others to try! The pricing is fair from my experience with other tobacco shops. There was a gentleman working a few trips ago that gave me a wealth of knowledge about my torch lighter and a few other things. The only thing keeping me from a 5 star review is my last visit. Unfortunately with our current times, I was uncomfortable interacting with the lady working since she was coughing while not wearing a mask, nor did the shop at least have one of those plexiglass barriers at the register. I was wearing a mask but still felt a bit uncomfortable. I will likely visit again as it's a great store but just something to mention should you not feel comfortable visiting due to lack of mask wearing. read more

Friendly staff! Easy place to hang out especially if you're staying in a hotel on the beltway. Great selection of cigars, loose toand pipes. Update: I totally forgot to mention they have a great bar there too. It's has a lounge area where you can sit in a ventilated area, in some nice leather chairs puff on a cigar and watch sports. Love this place! The staff, especially Kara and Morgan, are so helpful! The first time we came in, they explained everything so well and were so friendly! The atmosphere is great, laid back and comfortable! The hookah was great and lasted a while! We will definitely be back! They also have a full bar and reasonable prices! read more

Got the chance to hang out at this awesome new establishment while in town for a few days. A perfect place to relax and smoke a great cigar and enjoy good bourbon. They have a nice selection of craft beer as well as the regular stuff that you would expect. 3 large TVs to enjoy the games. It a nice comfortable place to enjoy a game and a smoke with relaxed vibe. Good selection of smokes! They have also put together a good package deal in various types brands styles. Now the most important part the back bar! 4 pretty good beers on tap to pair your smoke and a pretty dam good selection of booze, not much well stuff here good to top self. Did I say you could also enjoy your smoke in here also. Plenty of ash trays so you won't have to fight over one with 10 people. They also have nice cozy chair to sit in and a few tv's hanging around. Honestly do not know where to begin or how to describe this place. To start, the humidor is the only "decent" part. With a very small selection but every now and then they will get something in that is special. The bad part is, they have no idea what it is. Staff is poorly educated and honestly show no passion in cigars. I've been in there on multiple occasions and they never help and they never show desire to help. Second, the cigarette smoking is out of control. It is supposed to be a "cigar" lounge. No real cigar smoker wants to be anywhere around cigarettes. It ruins you nose and palate smelling that garbage. Even the employees smoke cigarettes rather than cigars. Third, lounge is to spacious. Can't hear anything in there. Fans are constantly running and it's way to noisy to have a conversation. You have to be practically yelling to the person next to you to hear them. Fourth, humidor issues. Like a said, the staff knows nothing. Every time I walk into the humidor the humidifier is on full blast. It's also a very cheap humidifier. The most important part of a cigar shop is the humidor and that's where all your money should go and they show no care for it. I have seen mold many times and have shown concern and have heard the excuse "it's plume" where in fact it's mold. To end, please do not shop here. It's terrible and disgusting. Go across the bay to Bouches in fairhope or Cordova in Pensacola. You will find much better staff, lounge, and humidor selection!!! read more
