The spouse and I ate at Tino's on Washington in Racine today. It was around 2pm, Tommy the owner wasn't there. I got my usual; Italian beef and the $11 box of rib tips. Well.... The girl on the phone was half listening and, once I got home, the Italian beef had gardiner on it instead of the sweet peppers I'd asked for and, was missing the fries. The rib tips were taste wise, a bit off. The order, my usual, has for the second time, not been prepared to my request. You have one job to do and when you're too busy to pay attention to the customers request then guess what? Yep! You seriously PO your regular customer fan base and lose their business. Since fast food is no longer the cheap go to anymore, then the bar must be raised to justify value with quality of food and service. So it appeared that Tommy, the owner, wasn't in the front or the back of house today. Tommy, your help is playing while you're away. And so, I too am staying away after today. Tino's has gone from my initial 5 stars given to 2 stars. As the saying goes, when the cats away, the mice will play rings very true to my review for today. read more

Great food, when you are able to get it as ordered. The last two times I've ordered ahead via phone for pick up and my order was made incorrectly. If you're looking for healthy and/or a place in an upscale neighborhood, this isn't it. This is a carry out restaurant for all sorts of unhealthy, yet delicious foods, such as gyros, pizza puffs, Italian beef sandwiches, catfish, french fries, onion rings etc. Located in a high traffic/high crime area. Private parking lot with free parking. Carry out only, but you can call your order in and pick up at their drive-thru window. read more

It was very good the problem is that the prices are insane! $6 for a plain hot dog. There are many other places around the area that charge $4 and under for a hot dog. read more

Oh my goodnes! This was the Best Italian Sandwich I've ever ate! Chicken wings.... so good! Rib Tips tasty and tender ! Service was quick and friendly. Prices reasonable. Music playing across the street gave a nice vibe to the experience. Can't wait to visit again! Wish I lived closer. read more

This place... If you need an old school indulgence that takes you back to an old school deli in chi town, look no further. Everything is fresh and ridiculously good. It's a perfect mom/pop place. Order ahead because they do take time to make it fresh. Carry out only, but they do have tables outside when the weather is nice. If I lived in Racine, I'd weigh a few more pounds. read more

This place is off the hook...... they do everything Good! They have been here 26 Years and do their Food the way that kept em in Business! Don't drive by and not stop! The Philly is ridiculous and almost impossible to finish for even a BIG eater! The Gyro kills all the other Gyros I've had! Don't forget to Sauce your Fries ..... it's Fire and The Tips Rock their own Stage by themselves! This Owner runs a tight ship and keeps that line movin and sends his customers on their way in a hurry! Decided to try this place while I was in town, found some killer reviews online and had to check it out. I made the mistake of going in the carry out drive thru line, if you haven't called and ordered ahead for carry out you'll need to stop inside first. Inside I met Nicole and the owner Tommy, they could tell right away I was a newcomer and were extremely polite and friendly. Tommy recommended they're known for their Italian beef, rib tips, and gyros, so we gave the rib tips and beef a go. The rib tips were super tender and the sauce was tangy and delish, can tell they are made fresh in house that day. Their BBQ sauce is awesome too and tastes like it's made in house. The Italian beef is my favorite that I've tried in the Kenosha area, being Chicago native they know what's good. Huge sandwiches and generous portions at a great price. You can definitely tell Tommy and his crew take great pride working there and that makes the food taste even better knowing it's made with heart. Happy to say I've found my slice of Chicago up north. Looking forward to my next trip to Racine, will definitely be back to try the gyro. read more

So you have to call your order first. We got 2 pounds of fried shrimp and two gyros. The shrimp was fantastic. It was lightly beaded and tasted like it was just fried. Everything was great. We're from Chicago and the gyros here we're out of this world read more

Yesterday I checked the web site and picked 3 items off the menu total was $16.00 and went to pick up my order, surprise, total was $29.00 Owner said the prices on the web site were not Tino's. The bambino sandwich special is out of this world. I come to Racine and this restaurant a couple times a month and the value and quality are excellent. The steak tacos are hand made and salsa is a secret family recipe. Great place read more

This place is amazing have been here twice and have had the gyro and the beef, hands down the best I have had in all SE Wisconsin!!
