    Huge portions. Great gyros.
    Mary C.

My Dad and I checked them out on a recent road trip because it was close to the zoo and had good reviews. We were not disappointed--what a great local gem! The staff immediately greeted us. We placed our order easily. The menu had gyros, burgers, hot dogs and fried cheese curds (when in Wisconsin...) among other things. I went to the bathroom and to my surprise, our order was ready when I came back out. The portions were so big we could have split one gyro sandwich. I'm glad we only ordered one side of fries because we were stuffed! The gyros were delicious and not dry. I liked that that the cucumber sauce was served on the side because it can be messy. The fries were crispy and tasted hand cut. We loved our experience here & would definitely come back. The interior was retro cute with tin signs from old gas stations and license plates hanging on the wall and ceilings. It's connected to a gas station, but don't let that deter you. It's really cute and has a separate entrance. Was pleased that the staff thanked us and told us to have a great day on our way out. Even though I'm from out of state, I'll definitely recommend them to friends in the area or to travelers passing through Racine.

BFG ... Big F'n Gyro. Enough for 3 ppl

Lots a gyro, lots of fresh cut fries! Highly recommend that this be your go to gyro place. Can't wait to thrift through the rest of the menu.

I went here on the recommendation of several people. I consider myself a bit of a gyro aficionado so I had to try it out. First off, it's part of a gas station but don't let that turn you away. The gyro - I got the original - was solid. I'd like to have the pita toasted a bit and the meat grilled a bit more. Also, for the size of the gyro, about 50% more tzatziki sauce would be perfect. That would up the rating. The fries were great. They simply come in the bottom of the paper bag underneath your gyro. The service was prompt and courteous. There are a few picnic tables outside the doors but that's it for seating. A lot of people were eating their gyros while sitting in their cars. These folks are far more talented than me. There was a constant stream of people through here on a Wednesday night between 7-8 pm.

Huge Gyros! *sauce comes on the side in a small cup Get 2 cups!

I was just passing through, but needed something at the gas station so I decided to get a "little snack" here instead. But WOW biggest gyros I have ever had. I couldn't even finish it! Probably a lb of meat on that puppy. The wait was a little long, so call ahead if you're impatient or always in a hurry like me. Oh and get extra Greek sauce, it's to die for and more sauce is always a good thing. The funniest thing about this place- They are covid friendly, but no one working in the connecting gas station had masks on. So I went into Gus's without a mask on and they didn't say a thing about it, and treated me like normal. 5 stars for this place.

My bae and I stopped here while in town visiting his family. It's actually attached to a gas station which I was a bit worried about at first, but the food ended up being pretty good. We shared a gyro which was more than enough food for the both of us. We also got a side of cheese curds. The curds could have used a bit more flavor, but they were overall still good. The price was a great deal too for the amount of food. A nice little dive spot with some decent food and they even serve beer. It's not Wisconsin if there's no beer or cheese curds!

I highly recommend the Greek potatoes as a side. They're so lemon-y and buttery, and come as a large portion. I also really love the chicken kebab sandwich and I'm always so surprised how quickly they put it all together. The fresh pita bread tears apart in beautiful layers, the vegetables are rich with flavor, and the chicken is so juicy and well seasoned. I literally can't help but finish my entire plate when I order from here. The kebab sandwich also comes with a generous service of Tzatziki which balances out all of the rich grilled flavors. This is an area gem and I wish I had known about it earlier!

Nikkos offers a wide variety of food, not just Greek. Burgers, dogs, Italian beef, etc. I know from experience both Mediterranean and Middle Eastern places generally offer very good burgers, but I haven't personally tried Nikkos'. I must try them soon. What I *have* tried are Italian beef, gyro, and chicken, both in plate and sandwich forms. Gyro and chicken dishes did not disappoint. Their chicken kebab plate is my daughter's new go-to Greek dish, and I can personally attest to their gyro and tzatziki sauce. Super legit. Also, French fries are good. I've tried their Italian beef now twice, but both times I thought they didn't do a very good job getting rid of beef taint. Gravy was okay; nothing special. I'd personally put them right at the same level as Portillo's. It's got a very old-school diner feel to the place. Menus are displayed with pictures over the counter, making it super easy to read and order. As far as friendliness of the cashier goes, I'd rate them 3 of 5. I was greeted and tended by a very nice lady once, but it was two grumpy dudes the other time who were all business and no play. Nothing wrong with their work ethics or order accuracy or anything. They were just unpleasant. Just so I'm clear, these encounters don't usually deter my star ratings. More so an FYI. All in all, I'm happy with my Greek plates at Nikkos. I'll probably go back to try rest of the other menu items like shish kebab or even a burger.

The cold station had a great variety of hummus and dips served with pita bread--my son loved it so much he ate thirteen pieces of pita! I'm usually not a big fan of raw oysters, but they looked so fresh that I decided to try them... and I couldn't stop eating them. They also had traditional Easter red eggs and egg salad, which was a nice touch. The hot food selection was very impressive as well, including freshly carved prime rib and ham, roasted lamb leg, and sausages. There were also breakfast favorites like French toast and scrambled eggs. Desserts were excellent too--cakes, fresh fruits, and yogurt rounded out the meal perfectly. The setting is just as lovely--the restaurant has an outdoor patio that would be especially enjoyable in the summer, with a great view of the city skyline. It's also a perfect spot for photos. On top of all that, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a perfect dining experience and a memorable Easter celebration.

And, dare I say, better version. Except for their avgolemeno soup. Such a weak travesty. Please fix this. It's just a watery mess. However, everything else is delicious. I ordered the Greek Chicken with their lemon-butter rice. They debone the chicken and serve atop a mountain of their rice. If also had their potatoes (which are good) but the rice is magical. Since there was a total of 11 and the seating is first come first serve, we decided to call to see if they had reservations. They did take our name and reserved a table. When we arrived we noticed a table was reserved and we were informed that it was our table. We sat and looked over the menus. When we were ready my 2 boys and I went up to place our order. My one son has major allergies so we spoke to the chef and he came back out to recommend the dishes he can have. It was great that he did so and gave us confidence that my son would be able to eat without worrying too much about the ingredients. I ordered the Shrimp Kalamakia with a side of the Greek Rice. My son with the allergies ordered the Pork Kalamakia with Greek Rice and no pita, my other son ordered the Traditional Pork Gyro with Greek Rice. The sides we ordered: Saganaki Fritters and Spanakopitakia. My son that ordered the Pork Kalamakia devoured it. He said it was tender and juicy and probably could have eaten 4 skewers. My Shrimp Kalamakia was nicely charred and seasoned, I squeezed some lemon and it provided a nice tang over the seasoning. The Lemon rice pilaf was soft and cook just right and was nicely balanced. I had one Saganaki Ball and it was delicious. My son had the Pork Gyros said it was really good and the Tzatziki sauce was creamy and rich with flavors. My in-laws bought the table desserts and I got the Baklava and my wife got Loukoumades (Greek Donuts with Nutella) and both did not disappoint. I really loved the citrus honey syrup in the Baklava. The Loukoumades had a crispy shell and nice a fluffy on the inside and the Nutella amount was perfect. This place is very good and well worth the price in my opinion. I loved the fact that they took the time to make sure my son with allergies was safe.
