The customer service and communication from the top to bottom of their company was superb. Before then, I took my car to another shop and they tried four different times to get the windshield right and they just couldn't. When I brought my car to DC Auto, the first thing they mentioned was how my leather dash was starting to come apart, and I have a feeling it was because of the last shop using all of that heat and humidity over and over. I probably would've never even noticed without them, and they even gave me a recommendation at the Chevy dealership to have it fixed under warranty. After having my dash got fixed, I brought it back for my windshield to be tinted and they got the windshield and the visor strip done right the first time around in less than 2 1/2 hours. They have a new customer for life with me and I will be taking all of my vehicles to DC Auto. I called ahead and was quoted $250 to repair my sunroof before making the drive to this shop. When I arrived, the place seemed busy, which gave me confidence that I had chosen a reputable business. The staff confirmed the quoted price but said they were too busy to complete the repair that day and asked if I could leave the vehicle until the following day. I agreed and left my car with them. A few hours later, I received a call saying that after inspecting the sunroof, additional parts were supposedly broken and the repair would now cost $750 instead of the original $250 quote. This raised concerns for me, as it felt like a bait and switch situation. Rather than moving forward, I picked up my vehicle and sought a second opinion. Another glass company came To my home (it was a mobile service) completed the repair for $300. The technician there told me there was no indication that anyone had previously inspected the sunroof, and the additional repairs and replacement sunroof I had been told were necessary were not needed. Based on my experience, I would encourage anyone getting a quote from this company to obtain a second opinion if the price changes significantly after the fact. I'm glad I decided not to proceed with the repair here

We went with Affordable Window Tinting after creating a project in Yelp and getting quotes from 10…read moredifferent companies. At first we went with Polar Tint but during the appointment we realized they gave us a quote for the lower heat rejection material so we left. When getting window tint, always ask for IR or heat rejection percentage. Affordable Window Tinting used ceramic that has 88+% heat rejection (not 3M but comparable) and for 5 windows we paid $300 which was a great price. FYI if you have a Subaru the front mini window counts as a window (we misunderstood at first and thought we could get the back windows too). We got 50% for the windshield and 35% for the front side windows. They have a heat demo you can try in-store so you can feel the difference. Installation took 3 hours (one bad thing is that the waiting area smells heavily of cigarette smoke) so we got lunch and walked around nearby (but it's not the best neighborhood). There were bubbles in the film but like the guy said, they went away in a few days when it cured. Happy with the results!
