I have had four cars done, here (including having another terrible shops' work stripped/redone), and every encounter has been positive. I walk in, make an appointment with the receptionist (who has always been very friendly and helpful), come back for my time slot, and they do the work. It has always looked great (the silver Forester XT picture is one of mine they did). I just acquired another car, today, and it will be the fifth car they do for me. As long as I am in the VA Beach area, this is the tint shop I will continue to use. read more

I went today to get a receipt for a tent job done on June 5th. There was an OPEN sing on the door, but no one to be found. Today is July 29th and I have called at least 6 times and I spoke with a young lady 3 time; on the other occasions the phone would ring & ring... I paid by Cash App because the "phones and register was not working"; I was promised an emailed receipt and have not received one yet. Yes, I have given my email address each 3 times I have spoken with someone. I need the receipt to be reimbursed by my insurance company. read more

He has great attention to detail and takes the time to ensure that your tint is done right! In total in took about 2 1/2 hrs to tint all six side and the rear windows. Express Tinting is the place to go if you need professional advice, courteous service, and an amazing tint job. My positive experience with Express Tinting commenced as soon as I dialed the number to Express Tinting's home office (They have three shops). As soon as the receptionist picked up, I rattled off a series of inquiries on their tinting process and the materials they use. (I am known to be quite picky). She answered each question thoroughly and honestly. There was one question she couldn't answer, so she promptly transferred me to an installer. I asked him several more questions and he didn't hesitate with his answers; he seemed very experienced. After being reassured by the installer, I made an appointment for the same day. I drove an hour to get to this place, because of how confident the installer seemed to be in their product/service. When I walked into Express Tinting, I was warmly greeted by the owner and two receptionists. I was a little early for my appointment, so I asked the girls a few questions about the tint. Like the receptionist who picked up my call and the installer who I spoke to 4 hours prior, these girls were very honest. They gave me an honest analysis of which tint I should use, and how it would look. One of the girls even walked outside to her car to show me how a specific tint would look on my vehicle. They seemed very knowledgeable and experienced; mind you, I wasn't even talking to the installer (who has nearly two decades worth of experience). The tinting process BEFORE the scheduled appointment time. They were on-point; To be honest, I was half expecting to wait 30 minutes to an hour AFTER my appointment time, so I was surprised when they called me up early. After watching my car go into the garage, I waited in their waiting room (three couches, a flat screen TV, a "kid's zone" and a surprisingly clean bathroom.) During the VERY SHORT wait, I never felt uncomfortable. The girl behind the counter was very polite and nice to me, even though I was bugging her with a bunch of questions. When my car was pulled out, the installer came in to tell me the job was done. Most times, the installers will just walk back in without saying a word, but this guy seemed to care about his customers. After paying for the tinting, I walked outside and inspected the vehicle like I was Cal Lightman. The tint job was FLAWLESS. I could not find ANY bubbles or imperfections. Anybody that has ever got a tint job knows that there are always bubbles or haziness, but there was NONE. Needless to say, I was thoroughly impressed. After going to Express Tinting, I don't know if I could ever go to another tint shop. Truthfully, this place puts other tint shops to shame (imo). I will provide an update in a month of how the tint held up. But, as far as I can tell, this is the place to go for ALL tint jobs in the Hampton Roads area. read more

Parking lot was full, got out of the car to ask where I should park, the owner (I was not aware that her was the owner) open a car door and in the rudest manner told my to move my car, which I said "excuse me?", he replied, "find a spot and move your car". A young lady comes out, while walking she said "that's the owner". So I cancelled my appointment on the spot. Needs Social skills, no a people person. read more

The lady at the front desk is not the brightness nor sharpest crayon in the box. I called the Hampton location to make an appointment at 2pm on a weekday, but for some odd reason she decides to schedule me at the Virginia Beach location... I am not sure what her logic was but it was extremely inconvenient for me. All she did was smile and say do you want me to schedule you for another day? Why would I call the Hampton location to be scheduled in Virginia beach??she never even confirmed the location on the phone either way. I am not sure if her actions were one that reflected on her character or one that showed her lack of intelligence, but I will never return or recommend this place to anyone. You'll be better off finding another shop to get your windows tinted.You'll regret you decision in choosing this place. The actual tint job that I got was extremely horrible. Each window has numerous bubbles, scratches and dirt trapped between the glass and the film. They had my car for an hour and some change and the job still looks like it was rushed or done by someone with no experience. Not a professional job AT ALL. In an attempt to get it fix was an even worse experience. No customer service skills by any of the employees. I experienced unprofessional, condescending and disrespectful behavior by the owner. Not an environment any paying customer should endure. I do not recommend taking your vehicle here. Use them at your own risk. There are plenty of other tinting places in the area that I'm sure you'll get a better quality product and experience from. read more

I did my research and found this place to have good reviews and got referred here by a friend. Let me just point out, when you're looking for the place, it's the building labeled TNT. Made an appointment and were able to get me in on the same day around 3(they close at 5). My husband stopped by a little earlier so we could understand the details and specs before we came down to which kind of tint we wanted. We picked our tint and it was done within 3 hours which I didn't find long at all. It was raining the next day and had just gotten a really bad cold front. We noticed a lot of bubbles on all the windows after 3 days and went back to have it looked at. He just wiped them down with what seemed like a credit card and said since it's cold out it will take longer for the bubbles to settle. Two weeks passed and bubbles had all disappeared except for one fairly large bubble on the driver side window. They weren't able to do anything about it and I still can't get it to go down. Other than that, love the dark tint, very sleek and stylish. They were overall professional about their services and knew pretty much what they were doing. read more

I called to make an appointment at 4:00pm one day. I was unable to make that appointment and called to reschedule for the next day at 4:30pm. They told me that shouldn't be a problem because they close at 5:00pm. I showed up for my appointment and they were already closed. One of their employees opened the door and told me that they were closed and that I should make an appointment. I told them that I had and he said well yeah, but we're closed today. Who closes their shop when you have an appointment scheduled? That's basically cash in the till and you won't be getting it anymore. My experience with this business is not really a good one. I took my wife's 2013 Charger to Express Tinting to have all the windows done. We went in on a Saturday with an appointment and there was no one there. The store hours on the window were clearly marked. An employee arrived about 20 minutes after they were supposed to be open, to open up for the day. After she got settled in, we discussed prices, which seemed fair. They had a few different grades of tint to chose from and my wife and I choose the second to the top. We were told it would take a few hours so we left. We received a phone call in a reasonable amount of time and returned for the car. We looked over the job and found a lot of air bubbles and what seemed to be a poor at best job. We were told that the bubbles would come out when they tint cured and dried and to give it a week and if there were any problems to bring it back. We were also very displeased that they didn't tint the entire rear window. They only went 3/4 of the way up. When we asked about that, we were told that the tint wouldn't stick to the black coating at the top of the window so they could only go that far. They also said that we should have been given the option to put a black vinyl strip to cover up that area, which was additional money, and we were never offered it. So after some discussion, they decided to do the vinyl strip for free but we had to come back the next week. Well, after a week of waiting, the bubbles did not go away and we had to bring the car back for the vinyl strip anyway so we went back, pointed out the issues with the tint and were told they would be corrected. After leaving the car there for a second day, we returned to find the vinyl strip had been put in and now there were problems with the tint on the rear window, though some of the issues which we had addressed were still there. We were told we would have to come back again. We went back two more times for issues like this and on the fifth trip to Express Tinting, I talked to the owner. He stated that he had the top 3 tinters in the country working for him, which seems odd to say, and that he is the best tinter around. He also told me that if I could get a better tint somewhere else that he would refund my money and pay for the new tint, but if he found any flaw that he wouldn't pay. So not being a fool I didn't take this bet. Eventually Express Tinting did refund a portion of my money and did an OK job of getting my wife's windows done and made everything OK in the end, but the hassle and time spent getting it done was not worth it at all. I would not recommend using Express Tinting to tint your car. read more

I went into express tinting to get my '16 mustang tinted. I am very particular about my car so I was a little wary. When I walked in I was greeted by the owner himself. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, he took time to explain to me all the different films, costs, advantages/disadvantages, etc. The prices were very fair and significantly lower then some of the other quotes I had received. I went with top of the line film and got a warranty with it as well, which I was impressed by. The owner did my car himself and he treated my car like it was his own. This place is absolutely horrific! And I hope everyone reading this stays away!!!! I had one car tinted here almost 2 years ago and did a payment plan of 2 installments with them. I bought a new car recently and had them do the same to my current vehicle which also went on an installment plan. I explained to the salesperson I needed to register my car in Maryland and pass the state inspection. She explained the maryland law percentage and I told her thats the tint that I want. I went to an inspection station in Maryland and FAILED my inspection because my tint was 3% over. I called Express Tinting to see if they would fix my tint and the same salesperson who sold the tint to me said, "You didnt say anything about Maryland law tint." I was outraged so I contacted the owner of the store and he told me he would be able to fix it free of charge and I just needed to contact him a week later when the tint comes in. Next week comes around and I couldnt get a hold of him for a whole week! I called at least (not exaggerating) 7-8 times a day and noone there could seem to get a hold of him. Finally one day I call and they transferred me to the Virginia Beach store since he was there. They scheduled me to have my tint redone the next day. I drive 45 mins to this store and the same salesperson who sold me the tint was there. She said, "Sorry we cant do it since you havent paid off the first cars tint." I said, "You mean the car tint from almost 2 years ago? Thats impossible. How can I start a new payment plan without "supposedly" paying off the first one?'' Then she had the nerve to say, "I guess the person who sold it to you didnt check to see if you paid the first one off." After I told her shes the one that sold it to me, she denied every bit of it. She also told me they couldnt redo my tint since I supposedly owed them $113 dollars. I told her I have documentation to prove I paid and she wasnt hearing any of it. So I will be seeing the owner in court to receive my money back for the tint I paid for and removal fees. read more

I had a 9am appointment, and I showed up at 8:40am. 1st in line and was told 1.5hrs for 3 windows, so I sat and waited. 1 person showed up 15min after me and 2.5 hours later he gets his car first! I had to be somewhere at 12pm and 3 hours later (12pm) I am still sitting here while the desk girl stands outside smoking and BS'ing with the one tint guy on duty! I will never set foot here again and will spend hours reviewing this place on other sites when I get home! Total lack of professionalism! read more

Recently had my 2015 hyundai sonata tinted with the suntek cxp 35 film on all windows and I was blown away at the job that was done. This company has the worst customer service, I have ever experienced. As a business we prepaid for our services to have our door completely tinted. They set 4 appointments and never showed and then began to avoid our phone calls. The office manager is the worst ever, she continued to make excuses for there lack of follow through and then tried to say she didn't have the logo to do it after setting third appointment to complete the door. I have never seen any business that operates with such lack of professionalism. I work with several people in area and they are by far the worst. Worst tint job and management ever!.. My tint was not put on properly so I called to tell them and they had me stop by to take a look it.. Then told me to give it another week and it should look better.. There are bubbles all over my tint from dirt that is between the tint and the glass.. But I said ok I will give another week.. Told them it still had all the bubbles so they asked me to come in again to have it looked at once more by the owner.. She I arrived there was a white BMW coupe the he just finished doing for a Military brother and it was a horrible job.. The military guy was not happy and was waiting for the owner to come to the front and speak to him about the horrible tint job.. Meanwhile we are out front speaking to our experience when the owner comes out.. The owner immediately ask why are they talking to me?. I'm just a dumb disgruntled customer who doesn't know what he's talking about.. Then starts calling me a liar and telling me to shut up.. He tells me that I'm messing up his business for no reason.. As he walks around my vehicle and says things like your car is old that's why the tint Lois like that.. I have a 2005 Ford Five Hundred.. And says because my car is old the tint can't be put in properly because my windows already have dirt IN them from being so old.. He also tells me that if he has to rip my rear tint out he won't replace my rear window because the defrost already doesn't work because my car is so old.. And that I am lying to him when I tell him my rear defrost does work.. It's impossible for it to work on a vehicle so old and starts to argue with me.. Then he gets mad that he has to refund the military guys money for the horrible tint job he did and it was my fault.. He then tells me he's not fixing my tint now because I'm ruining his business.. So I leave.. About a half an hour later I receive a text stating that I must have misunderstood him and he will still fix my tint?!!.. Needless to say I did not respond not dos o go back. Not will I ever!.. And suggest the same to anyone who even considers waiting their time and money at this low class "establishment".. read more

I called to get my 13 corolla tinted over the phone they will give you a quote for $130 not stating that the price depends on how dark you want the tint then will hit you with all the prices and warranties not within the $130 when you go in to get the work done . with that being said I chose the tint that was $160 which had bubbles in it after the 3 days and scratches as well , the rear window was installed poorly and had scratches around the rear light , my passenger window had a wrinkle in it , the smaller windows on the back two doors had bubbles . it was done on a Friday even though I set an appointment I'm guessing the employees were in a rush to get off so customer satisfaction wasn't running through their minds. I set up an appointment yesterday at 3:30 to go back and get the tint fixed only to get there and be told that id have to come back another day because they close at 5 , which should have been mentioned over the phone considering that going all the way out to va beach when I live in Chesapeake is not convenient at all . when I get there and all of the issues with my tint are addressed there is no "we are sorry your tint was done poorly or sorry you're not satisfied " . they only cared about getting me to come back once again to get something fixed that should've been done right the first time.. read more
