Before anyone comes for me, hear me out. I used Tint World about 7 years ago. My experience then is not the experience I had recently. I didn't read the recent yelp reviews which I paid for significantly. Let me start by saying, scheduling the appointment is quick, fast, and easy. The woman I spoke to was pleasant. When I arrived, the gentleman helped me pick out the tint I wanted. My interior is very light so I wanted 5% to protect it. The gentleman confirmed and I waited for 2 hours. When it was time to pay, the woman that was helping me went over the warranty and aftercare instructions. I noticed she kept mentioning 20% tint but didn't really think too deep into it. I went outside and realized the tint was wrong! I went back in to ask if the tint was indeed 20% as I'm really not sure how tint is supposed to look in contrast to light interior and she confirmed that they did make a mistake. She offered to make it right but couldn't do it that day. I had to work the next day so I needed the car. I told her the earliest I could bring it in was 3 pm. She was reluctant but stated that even if her employee has to stay late, it's on him since he made the mistake. Next day, me being the considerate person I am, I moved my schedule around and offered to take the car in around 1130 am. She was very appreciative. I got there, she stated I would be there a long time because they're treating my car as a walk in. I remained patient and said I'll Uber home and come back. They had my car the ENTIRE day! Instead of me inconveniencing them, it didn't matter that they inconvenienced me. I guess no good deed goes unpunished. I also feel that I should've been compensated for my Uber trips. I don't think I'll be returning unless I have to tap into my warranty which gives me pause because I read other reviews that they don't honor them. I'll cross that bridge when I get there but hopefully it won't get to that point. On my Infiniti, the tint lasted for 7 years with no issues. For that and the prompt response they get some leeway. They do need to do better though. read more

All I can say is this place is terrible. Took my car there for tints and they did a shit job on it. Had to go back 3 times for them to redo it and it still came out the same. I recently had 4 wheels swapped. had to go back several times to have the Tire Pressure monitoring system programmed. After 3 visits to have it programmed and several attempts to do it myself using the factory instructions I took it back to the dealership. 1500.00 bucks later, they found the sensors were installed in the new wheels were backwards. i called tint world to state my case and asked for a call from the owner, after a frustrating conversation with the person I dealt with, the owners son. They told me there would be bubbles and some smudge on my windows for a couple weeks went back two months later to have them redone and they look the exact same, which is horrible. Tints installed fast, clean and professionally. This is the second vehicle I have serviced at this location and have been very happy with the service. The guys have been friendly and attentive. Explained my options and set up an appt. I was in and out within 45 minutes with the two front door windows tinted to match the factory installed back windows. Tints are alright. The amount of time wasted there for Tints, NOT worth it. Workers treat the place like a hangout spot, instead of a business. I called at 1:06pm for front window tints. I was told to come in and I could be serviced Immediately. Upon arrival, I was told they would be done in an hour and a half. I spend two hours waiting. I went to Friendlys and even got a hair cut. I returned at 3:40. My vehicle was still parked in the same spot I left it. They didnt start working on my vehicle until 4:30pm!! Three and a half hours later. I didnt leave there until 5:30pm. Workers don't treat the business as a professional environment. Cursing and joking around. Tint hasnt given me an issue. I was watching this store a while before reaching out via messenger. I saw that the reviews were positive and that they offered all that I needed for my new Jeep Rubicon. I reached out and spoke to Santiago. He was awesome and on point. He gave me upfront pricing, offered payment options and showed me several pictures of rims that were available to me for same day purchase. The business is very professional. Customer service is a BIG DEAL to me. On so many occasions I've gone into places like these and was barely greeted at the door and looked over. Meanwhile I had 5k in my pocket to spend. These guys were great. They got me in, my rims were put on as well as my new grill (unexpected purchase but they still fit me in). I explained that I needed the car by 5pm to attend a holiday party, but when I arrived at 5pm, I was told that my vehicle was blocked in by another car and they needed a few more minutes. After waiting for 45 minutes, I spoke to the manager, Dominick, and learned that tech Brian was still working on the car and would need another day to complete the installation. I went to the rear of the shop to find the entire interior ripped apart. I reluctantly left the car overnight and was promised it would be done by noon on December 23. However, I received a call from Dominick at 10:30am on December 23, informing me that it would be done by 2pm. When my son and I arrived at 2pm to pick up the car, we were shown the work that had been done and left. However, within minutes of driving, the radio stopped working, so we immediately returned to the shop. They tried to fix it but asked us to come back the next day. On Christmas Eve, they fixed the issue, and the system started working. Unfortunately, on December 26, the screen went blank again, and there was no audio coming from the system. We have been back to the shop four times since the installation, and the issue persists. It is concerning that my son, a 17-year-old, is driving around with no navigation, Bluetooth, or audio system. The communication among the employees is poor, and it seems like no one cares about resolving the issue. When I spoke with manager Dominick and installer Brian, they simply told me to bring the vehicle back for further repairs. Besides prices being high. The owner Santiago has no remorse or empathy. I stripped in front of his door while he's looking at my car. I hurt my palms and knee. Instead of helping me up and asking if I was okay , he continued to look at scratches on my car. I asked if I could clean my hands that had pebbles on them and he said "bathrooms in the back" . Since my knee was throbbing. I checked the are and it was bleeding and skin peeled off. I came out of the bathroom and asked for a band aid and Santiago pronounced "I don't know if I have any". It was 8.50am and I assume no one gets there before 9.00am. I called the phone number which belongs to the store next door and Brian said Peter is the owner but he would email him in reference to how I was treated. If you value your time, don't waste it here. This place was recommended by Massapequa auto body & I feel like calling them to ask, "why?". TW didn't tell me when I made my appt last month or when I called Wednesday to confirm my 9 am Thursday 7/14 appt that they were overbooked (& clearly understaffed). Well a job I was told that would take 3-4 hours ended up taking 26.5 hours. They wasted mine & my moms day off. I was told it would be done on Friday 7/15 at 10 am today & the reality was, it wasn't done till almost 12:30...& the tint was bubbly (which they said is normal?), they left a back panel protruding, my back seat was dirty (luckily I scrubbed it out with a Lysol wipe) & where the break light is, is tintless (which to me, looks weird) even tho there was a tint there before from Honda city (guy at TW claimed their tints are computer cut). See pictures. Even better? Despite the guy apologizing, he told me they don't "do appointments", which makes zero sense as I was told when I dropped my car off, I was told they were over booked. Then what did I have??? I didn't just walk in, but I did walk out annoyed af. My previous tint by Honda city lasted 8+ years. This place (supposedly) has a 3 year warranty... but I don't want to come back here ever. UPDATE 7/30/22: I went back for for an attempt for this "professional" job to be fixed & guess what? There were 3 other people there unhappy with the work tint world did. 2 were about tinted windows & 1, idk what the issue was but that person called cops. 8:30 am with 4 unhappy customers & 2 NCPDs. Literally the worst establishment I've ever been in they are scammers and the most lazy people I have ever met. dropped of my car at 8am to get a windshield tint was told I would be called as soon as it's ready not only did they not call me when it was ready I had to call them for my car I waited till 5pm for a phone call and nothing. When James answered the phone he asked someone if it was ready and they said yes so who knows how long it was just sitting there finished Gave them the benefit of the doubt so I called back to make another appointment to install an overlay for a logo in front of my car that I ordered online. keep in mind it is just a logo very small and quick job the only reason I can't do it is Bc I don't have the tools like (heat gun,spray etc) when I pulled up to tint world so I can show them the overlay and where it goes they gave me an estimate of 90 AN HOUR TO INSTALL AN OVERLAY ???????? All I can say thank goodness I didn't full price for my service. So like most people I went to this new place because they had a Groupon. I went there in advance to scope out the place and see if the Groupon was even worth buying. Sadly I was convinced. So my car was basically washed Waxed and Amoralled. Pretty much that's it. The car still had dirt in it. The glovebox was still absolutely filthy. There still was dirt underneath the seats. Let's move on to the paint shall we? The paint still was rough . I bought a groupon for an suv detail. Dropped my explorer off at 10 am. It wasn't finished until 6 pm. I thought "wow, they must have really taken their time and did a great job" It was then dark so I didn't get a chance to really look. I gave a very generous tip (my bad) and left. I contacted Tint World on Facebook to have some work done. I was then chatting with Santiago on what I wanted done. I wanted a leveling kit, new rims, tires and steps bars to be installed on my truck. Santiago was able to get all the info and all the material to make what I imagined come true. I set up a appointment to drop it off in the morning and by 4pm that day it was all done. The shop is very clean and the service is A+. Tint World did a great professional job on my truck. They came through with everything and even corrected a window for me when a bubble didn't go away. There were no issues. I was satisfied enough I had them install a remote start on my dads car and also had them do new wheels and tires on a friends jeep. I brought my truck to Tint World and had them install ceramic tint on the front two windows. After a week of letting the glue dry I opened my windows to a half inch of glass not being covered by the tint. I've had plenty or cars tinted prior to this and never have I seen so much of the glass left exposed. When I went back to ask why it was like that & if there was something they could do for me, I was told "that's the way it's supposed to be" and then by someone else "its computer cut there's nothing we can do." After spending $200 on two windows for tint, I figured they would stand behind their work. I highly recommend that no one uses this company as all they are interested in is taking your money and moving onto the next job. There is no customer service or customer appreciation from these guys. I was given an attitude for questioning their sub-par work. I will never use this company again. I needed to get the tints off. I called the service, asked whether I should schedule an appointment or can just walk in. They said it was by appointments only. My appointment was at 10 am and I was running 10 mins late. Knowing I was not fitting the 10 am appointment I called the service and let them know. They said it was not a problem. When I arrived the front desk person said I should wait a few minutes as the master was finishing with the other car. At 10:40 I asked the front desk what was happening with my appointment. The guy told me that because I was late he took someone else for service who walked in. Also, because taking off my tints would take about 2 hours, they took another customer, I was explained. When I said it wasn't fair, they guy threw my car keys into my face saying I could go somewhere else. I had to take some time off to do this and I didn't have more time to do that anywhere else, so I just had to wait. The car went in at 11:00. There was no apology, they treated me as if they were doing me a favor. I am not going here again. And I'm not referring my friends there. I scheduled my car to be tinted on my back window and all four sides on Thursday I called Tuesday to set it up on Thursday at 8:00 (my appointment time) I saw about four other people at the store I walked in and talked to a worker and was told it would only take an hour and a half to two hours. I called them Back at around 11 to ask the status on my car and was told someone was cutting the tints for it it should only be another hour and a half then I called back around 2 to be told that a worker there had to leave for a family emergency and my tints should be done within and hour I called back again at around 3 this time getting a little aggravated and asked what's going on with my car and I was told there was a car behind me getting rims and wheels on it and my car should be out of the garage within 15 mins. Once I got there my mom brought me because I didn't have a ride there my mom was very aggravated being that I had to use her car to do running around all day due to unexpected delays in my car being done she was confronted with a women who was said to be the guys sister. The guys sister told my mom to shut her mouth and was very disrespectful and the owner started being very disrespectful and then another maintenance guy from the garage jumped in and started being very disrespectful tint world in Massapequa 4722 sunrise Highway is a very bad place to go for anything and would not recommend it at all. read more
