Have been wanting to try Tinys for a while now since our family has been and loved it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is so cute. Very farmhouse modern chic feel to it with beautiful white finishes everywhere and white flowers and candles on the tables to add to the ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was great. We went to celebrate NYE and the server provided recommendations for some wine to celebrate and some apps to get us started. We enjoyed the Brussels sprouts and the meat and cheese board. The meat and cheese board itself was delicious but I wished there was a bit more cheese, it had more dips and spreads as opposed to cheeses. Plenty of delicious meats however. The Brussels were to die for and came with sourdough to dip in the sauce. For mains we ordered the bolognese, chop salad, and the burger. Our friend ordered a second bolognese because it was that good! The burger and fries were good, and the chop salad was also decent. A little heavy on the dressing but overall very delicious! We decided to treat ourselves for the last day of the year with the famous Tinys à la mode cookie and ice cream and I will dream about this for the next several weeks. The warm cookie skillet paired with the ice cream and rich chocolate sauce was incredible! Guess we'll have to come back to get it again. Thanks to the Tinys crew for making our NYE and final dinner before the new year one to remember!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute little neighborhood spot! I can definitely see this space being booked for a small rehearsal lunch/dinner or even the morning after breakfast/brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Anyway, my husband booked a breakfast for me and our kids last Sunday and we were so pleasantly treated by our waitstaff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Full bar. Outdoor space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Such a special experience for my little one in picking a pastry plate. Every item off the menu was made to order and delicious. The front of house team were very attentive and accommodating to my two toddlers and for that, I can't recommend them to other families enough! Breakfast food items are always a hit for children and my husband so we gobbled up a lot pretty quickly. Drinks were good. We had 9:30 reservations and they got steadily busier throughout the morning. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, the intimate but lively setting really set us up for a wonderful day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Really awesome vibe at this North Central Austin spot! Very kind and attentive service, and food really was/should have been phenomenal! The main reason for 3 stars is that both of our dishes came with undercooked proteins, and Tiny Boxwoods had a difficult time admitting to or remedying that fact. We got the Day's Catch and the Black & Bleu, and while stunning in presentation, and even delicious upon first bite, it quickly became clear that the middle of Filet was beyond rare (we had asked for medium rare), and the middle of the fish was under enough that we couldn't cut through it easily. The server did end up taking the dishes back, but it was somewhat begrudging. I have a lot experience both cooking dishes like this and dining out, and the last thing I want to be is difficult! Not exactly sure what the best solution would have been, but this spoiled the fact that everything else about the restaurant/experience was beautiful, and it could easily have gotten 5 stars from me. I will be back to try again!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful spot for brunch![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was so nice to sit outside on a nice day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the migas without carnitas, and they offered to substitute it with avocado. It was really good! Would definitely go back and make a stop for some cookies after :)

My wife was enjoying an u usually cool night and said, "Let's go to Tiny Boxwoods and have the wood fired artichoke hearts." Great idea! Outdoor seating and a cozy setting. Service was fantastic, as it always is. Thanks, Andrew! A friendly caring server. The food is always well prepare prepared, timely served, and well-plated. Artichoke hearts, oh my, great dish. Crab cake appetizer delicious. What was my wildflower?Watercolor entree is a must try, crab meat me one and grilled shrimp. Latte for dessert. Andrew, see (photo) was a wonderfully kind, genuine server. My wife is now 2 years cancer free so part of our dinner was to celebrate that occasion at great milestone. Andrew brought a glass of bubbles on the house. One of the managers, Luis, came by too. So friendly and engaging. Thanks guys for being part of a wonderful evening.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]YEPPPP! Great place to celebrate an occasion which we did.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nora was a TERRIFIC server Our daughter's 32nd B'Day Lots of food options as we were brunching, the menu includes lunch options i.e. a 4 layer Club Sandwich, a burger . We started with a BISCUIT BOARD~ one of my absolute fav breakfast foods of all times is a BISCUIT (these didn't disappoint) with honey butter & homemade strawberry jam a pastry board is also on the menu....thats gonna be ordered on my next visit also the artichoke ~ now this was quite different that we expected, it's more like a dip with pesto and artichoke pieces, served with 2 very large pieces of grilled bread. I am not a pesto fan, but this wasn't bad at all~ would I order it again, depends who I am with however with so many additional options most likely I would try something new. Our main dishes included, CRAB CAKES, the Goat cheese salad, pancakes & a Club Sandwich. Our daughter shared one of her Crab cakes with me for my Goat Cheese salad with made a lovely addition as the salad was perfectly lightly dressed. The pancakes are huge and looked possibly the BEST looking pancakes I have ever seen, served golden brown with sliced apples on the side. The Club is bigger than a triple decker!!! Certainly could be shared or take one of the bread slices out to make it less carby. All food is made in-house, fresh nothing was a disappointment, granted something might not have been a favorite but that doesn't make it bad [[HIGHLIGHT]]This could be a regular stop for me as the ambience is right up my alley PLUS I would feel comfortable going alone for a coffee, lite bite & a book.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Cute place in central Austin with airy bright interior and some exterior seating. It has a casual fancy vibe and where you'd imagine you'd find soccer moms lunching. Try the fresh baked cookies when they have those available. Dropped in here for a quick breakfast and it didn't disappoint (but it was also not exactly cheap for brunch). Service was attentive without being overbearing and very very nice. I would recommend reservations here if possible since they can get pretty busy.

I was lucky to get a parking spot right in front for Sunday brunch. The parking lot is very small and a market was taking up half of it. They do offer valet. We sat outside and it was a beautiful day. It is a very relaxing garden atmosphere that is so unlike most places in Austin. It felt more like an east coast beach town than anything else. It was hard to choose, but felt like a sandwich and took the waiter's advice to get sweet potato waffle fries. There's a little bakery next door and we got sown treats to go. Overall amazing experience and would come again.

Nice cozy spot with beautiful outdoor patio seating that is always booked. Service was solid as we didn't feel rushed at all Fried green tomatoes were large and good portions along with Burrata with delicious bread. Definitely start with apps Prime rib was delicious and had great seasoning, we had blue cheese and Parmesan risotto and bother were good Dessert was also a must have with the cheesecake and lemon cake. Definitely take cookies home.

I came here for lunch yesterday and had a wonderful time! Tiny Boxwoods is such a charming and classic restaurant. The ambiance feels like a cozy cabin, with the fireplace going and the pretty patio with a classy backyard feel. There is parking onsite but it fills up quickly. Thankfully there is street parking nearby. Our server Tristian was a sweetheart and recommended some great drinks. I started with the South Congress 75 which is just a twist on a French 75. All cocktails are $15 each across the board. I ended my meal with the chai cocktail which surprisingly did not taste like it was described, nonetheless it was still refreshing. For lunch I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict which came with house potatoes. The crab cakes were a bit too firm and not very fresh. The potatoes were the star of my plate!! so delicious and crispy. Bacon was standard and the biscuit was too firm and needed to be warmer when served. My meal overall was consistent and tasted good, portions were nice. The lunch menu needs a bit more variety in my opinion. I would love to come back and try the dinner menu the scallops sounded great but the don't serve it during lunch.

Finally was able to check this place out. Didn't have a reservation for Saturday breakfast and was able to get seated right away at the bar. I will say their parking lot isn't the biggest and it can get super busy so do recommend coming earlier. We ordered the seasonal pancakes and the turkey club with sweet potato fries. Also an iced vanilla latte. The pancakes themselves were very well made but I wish they had more options like chocolate chip, blueberries, etc. instead of just the fruit compote that came with it. Turkey club was solid and a good portion especially with the sweet potato fries. Only critique was that the fries were a little salty and you could see all the big salt flakes on top. The coffee was okay, a little too milky when I prefer a stronger coffee flavor. Service was great and very attentive, especially since we were sitting at the bar. The food did take awhile to come out but we didn't mind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is super cute and cozy. Great little spot for a small group of people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I came here with a large group with on a weekend. The waitress was really helpful and accommodated all of our questions and requests. The interior was very cute, made me feel like I was inside a cozy cabin or greenhouse. I loved the biscuit platter. The biscuits were very flakey and loved it with the butter and jam. I didn't love the grits on my breakfast plate but everything else was good.

    Is parking tight?

It can be. Be very careful going in & out because of curves & weird turns. People go too fast in the weird small lot.

    Are they dog friendly?

Apparently not anymore. Just went today with a friend and was turned away before we could even ask for a table outside. A little embarrassing since I had insisted her dog would be welcome. I had previously taken my dogs there during the afternoon…

All of the employees were warm and welcoming and we never felt like a burden. They were kind enough to give us a note signed by all the staff for our anniversary! Our server also gave us complementary champagne as well as a dessert. The restaurant itself is also very cozy. The kitchen is cool as the concept is an open flame cooking. Now the food was simply amazing. The halibut was melt in your mouth and I still am thinking about how good it was. The scallop was probably the best I've ever had, and I love scallops. I had one of their cocktails and it was also outstanding, and the ice cube even had an H on it! For the quality of food I felt the prices were very reasonable on the à la carte menu. We ordered: scallops, texas Wagyu bavette and halibut. The server recommended the bread so we ordered that too. When we received the bread, it was in a small basket and freshly out of the " oven ", which they seemed to be proud of serving very fresh bread. The bread was approximately 1/6 of the length of a regular baguette for $6 and a bit of unsalted butter. We split the bread in half and after eating a piece, immediately, it tasted gummy and very sour the inside part of the bread. I double checked if the sourness came from the butter, but the butter was fine. The sourness came from the center of the bread. I informed the server that the center was sour/gummy and felt undercooked. They took my piece and returned it to the kitchen and gave us a new piece of bread. But that bread had the same issue. Gummy and sour in the center. I had to peel away that part and just eat the outer parts. For the scallops, unfortunately the sauce did not meet expectations. You could tell the scallops were of high quality, but the sauce was too salty and too acid. What a disappointment. The entrées were fine. The halibut was good, maybe a bit dry, but the sauce saved it. The Wagyu bavette was initially a tad too salty, but then as I kept eating it tasted fine. But I realized I just slowly got used to the saltiness of the meal. This meal ended up being way too salty because I had to drink a huge amount of water and felt dehydrated after this meal (I didn't consume any alcohol!) I did give the feedback about the bread and scallops to the server, he stated that he will share it to the chef. Hopefully they can improve. They did comp the bread which was a nice gesture. I did look online what could cause the gumminess and sourness of the bread (as I was curious if I was the abnormal one) and here is what they say: " A gummy center combined with a very sour taste is the classic signature of an under-fermented loaf (often called "under-proofed").When dough does not spend enough time in the warm bulk fermentation phase, the yeast fails to create a strong, airy structure, leaving the center dense and wet. Concurrently, the bacteria keep producing acid without the yeast balancing it out, resulting in a highly sour, flat flavor. " Solutions to fix this is : " Extend Bulk Fermentation: Let your dough rise longer at room temperature until it increases in volume by 30% to 50% and feels full of air.Watch the Temperature: If your kitchen is cool (under 70°F / 21°C), move the dough to a warmer spot like an off oven with the light turned on.Cool Completely: Always wait at least 2 to 4 hours before slicing into a fresh loaf so the interior starches can finish setting as the steam escapes. " They should have definitely not served us the bread pipping hot and they should have allowed the bread to rise longer. Perhaps take out the bread of your menu if you don't have the time to let your bread rise longer or cool.....

I wanted to like this restaurant, but they made it hard to do. We started off with the guacamole…read more The pomegranate seeds on top were a nice touch, but man, this was flavorless. It was painfully boring. We had our 6-year-old, who is head of the Picky Eaters Society, so we ordered bread with butter. This 6-year-old, who eats bread on the daily, took one bite and wouldn't eat any more. We even get gluten-free bread regularly, and he eats it. The bread was fine, but don't expect flavor. By some miracle, they even made butter tasteless. I considered calling the Vatican to see if this was some holy, divine miracle, but my wife suggested maybe the main course would be better. We settled on the pesto pasta with chicken added for an additional fee. The pasta was good. Great texture, good flavor, and the combination of ingredients was good, but it's nothing original. It's pesto pasta. It's a classic. I appreciate the pomegranate seeds on the guacamole because it's original, it's clever, and it's different. We also ordered a special soda drink for our son, and it had a small black bug on top. I had them take it back and replace it. I kind of expected a "Listen, we apologize for the bug. Here's half off dinner," or something, but nothing. Service was fine, and it's a decent atmosphere. If you're looking for a place to sit and talk it's a great place, but if you want food or a drink go somewhere else.

RE: Business owner information General Manager…read more Business Manager Jul 17, 2026 Hi Paul, Thank you for your detailed feedback. While we're glad you joined us, I'm sorry to hear your breakfast experience didn't meet expectations. We'll be reviewing your comments with our culinary team to improve consistency. We appreciate you giving us a try and hope to provide a better experience in the future. Warm regards, Wes Brown It's great to receive a response from the business manager regarding our experience at their restaurant, but all four us thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. We had absolutely no complaints regarding our dining experience. Caroline is affiliated with the Marriott Element and Aloft hotels and that, I believe, where the affiliation ends. I try to avoid hotel eateries but I've had great dining experiences at hotels like the JW Marriott in Austin. We, four, stopped by on a Sunday AM for breakfast and we had a great time. They do have brunch cocktails available and their bloody Mary's were deemed excellent with just the right amount of spice. My bloody Maria was on point and we all got our Sunday Funday started. Breakfast was wonderful. Our eggs arrived cooked perfectly. The pepper bacon and real potato sides were off the charts delicious. They also offer a few TexMex breakfast options and Plus one was raving about her Huevos Rancheros plate. Service was excellent even though they became busy our server was very attentive. Pro tip: Sat and Sun AMs if you arrive early you can easily score a table.

We were on a business trip and decided to have breakfast at Caroline…read more A nice restaurant with mood lighting and modern decor. They offer a full bar and also a coffee place with pastries and other baked goods. They seem to be connected to a hotel. The restrooms were up a few flights of stairs or you can use the elevator to the 2nd floor. I didn't know that. The upstairs portion could be rented out for special occasions or events. Our server was super friendly and helpful. She recommended a couple of her favorite smoothies. I ordered the Sweet Corn Cake Benedict: poached eggs, jalapeño cheddar corn cakes, avocado, tomato & corn salsa (4/5). I liked and enjoyed my breakfast, which was fresh and light. Berry Basil Smoothie: blueberry, strawberry, basil, banana, agave, pomegranate, coconut water, lime juice (4/5). This was very delicious. My coworkers order the Everything Sandwich: everything cream cheese, peppered bacon, baby kale, roasted roma tomatoes (4/5). Flavorful, with a light freshness of all the ingredients. My other coworker ordered a side of Breakfast Potatoes & a Detox Juice: acai, pomegranate, coconut water, lime. Both really liked the breakfast potatoes, which had a crisp exterior crunch yet soft and creamy inside. Come check them out. Support your local business.
