We recently visited Eberly to celebrate our son's birthday, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience from start to finish. The first thing that stood out was the beautiful ambiance. The restaurant offers both stunning indoor and outdoor seating, making it perfect for any occasion. Since we planned to bring our dog, we called ahead to confirm outdoor seating availability. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and promptly guided to the outdoor patio. Before we even had a chance to ask, the staff brought a bowl of water for our dog, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Another touch that made the evening special was that the staff acknowledged our son's birthday upon arrival and presented him with a birthday card signed by team members. It was a simple but incredibly sweet gesture that made him feel celebrated. For drinks, my husband ordered the Swedish Fish Punch, while I enjoyed the Family Business German Pilsner. For appetizers, we shared the Burrata and a salad that is no longer on the menu. The salad featured cashew butter and was absolutely delicious. Both appetizers were beautifully prepared, flavorful, and generously portioned for the three of us. For the main course, we decided to share two dishes. I wanted to try a vegetarian option, and our server was extremely helpful, offering several menu items that could be modified. I chose the Mafaldine pasta, and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. It was rich, flavorful, and unlike any pasta dish I've had before. Every bite was outstanding. My son ordered the salmon, which was equally delicious and perfectly cooked. Both dishes were satisfying and filling. Since we wanted to save room for dessert, sharing the entrees turned out to be the perfect decision. We ordered the Pistachio Crème Brûlée and Sticky Toffee Pudding, and the restaurant also surprised our son with a complimentary birthday cake complete with a candle. All three desserts were exceptional and a perfect ending to the meal. Eberly is definitely a high-end dining destination and an excellent choice for special occasions, celebrations, or gatherings with family and friends. The indoor and outdoor spaces are beautiful and spacious, the service is attentive and thoughtful, and every dish felt carefully crafted with unique flavors and attention to detail. What impressed me most was that every aspect of the experience--from the hospitality to the food and special touches--felt intentional and genuine. We left feeling celebrated, well-fed, and already looking forward to our next visit.
I've heard of Eberly for years, I just figured it was out of my price range. My friends and I decided to try the Cedar Tavern happy hour, but we arrived to find out it was booked for an event! The hostesses were super accommodating and even though the bar area was full, we were sat at a table and they would still honor the $7 martinis and $10 burger at least! We just had to be out by the time the next reservation was due, which was plenty of time. I thought that was so nice of them. Our table ordered some martinis, the Japanese milk buns, burger and fries, apple Asian salad, as well as the zucchini dish. I would skip the caesar salad, nothing to write home about. I would definitely recommend the zucchini dish, it was perfectly fried and the accompaniments were delicious. The Asian salad was great for a hot day. Of course I've seen the pictures of the grand atrium room with skylights, so it was cool to see it in person. There are many different areas to Eberly, and I must return to fully experience them all. I saw a side patio area, I have heard there's a rooftop, and I know the Cedar Tavern bar was transported from New York City. To top it off, valet is free!
Great food, ribeye special sauce was so good and filling and was already sliced. Potatoes hit the spot with its sauce and cooked so soft. Bread and butter was great star as the butter was whipped and bread was glazed so well. Crudo was so tender and beets salad was great portion. Service was quick and ambiance was dark, would've been nice if blinds were open Would come back.
I love that i don't have to find parking as there is valet. The staff were super friendly. Since I dined alone they gave me just the right amount of attention. The restaurant is beautiful in this old cigar club kind of way I ordered the crudo which came out so quickly. It was delicious with such a good amount of acid. I had the halibut. I did not like that it came out while I was eating the crudo and would have preferred a gap. This fish was delicious. Absolutely loved the pickled chillis with it. I had the pistachio creme brulee this was delicious. I was being greedy and being from Australia I had to have the sticky toffee pudding. This sadly was disappointing. It was too salty and hard to enjoy. Wish I ended on the brulee. I would definitely come back as the service and savory items were great
A group of us went to celebrate a birthday and reserved a table. Our server and manager were very attentive and the service was great. I didn't get pictures or everything but we had tasty food and drinks. The fresh oysters were fantastic and everyone was happy with their food. The potatoes were shared. Between the Bellinis, Old Fashioned and lots of champagne we were happy there. They also brought out a little birthday dessert for the birthday girl. Parking is a bit of a challenge. Valeting is the way to go but there is parking nearby but with a walk if you prefer to park yourself.
This restaurant is absolutely stunning making it worth the visit alone! But the food and drinks are also amazing. I went for happy hour which is one of my favorites in Austin. I ordered an espresso martini and a maverick martini. I'd pass on the espresso martini in the future but the maverick martini was addicting. Yum! For food, I ordered fries, artichoke dip, and soft pretzel and loved every single thing! Parking was easy as there was complimentary valet. You won't regret a happy hour here!
Had a reservation for 6:45, SXSW road closures had another idea. Didn't arrive until 7:10 and I did call beforehand to inform them. They weren't very busy and got a seat at the bar. Very friendly staff and attentive. Only recommendation would be to give the rundown for newbies. I mentioned it was my first time in and didn't get any insight. Surprisingly a couple sat near me with a different bartender and they were given a rundown of the concept as well as what they are known for. I got the Cesar salad and the pork chop both recommended by the bartender. Salad came out quickly and was delicious, crisp lettuce and enough dressing. The pork chop too a hot minute. To the point where the couple that ordered after me was almost done with their meal before it arrived. Sooo, not sure where the disconnect was. That same couple finished their meal and left before I was half way through my meal. The pork chop was worth the wait and cooked perfectly. The Brussel sprouts were also crispy and seasoned well. The restaurant had a chill vibe and definitely liked it once the sun went down as the interior lighting really set the mood. You get to walk by the open kitchen line to use the restroom and see the Sun room across from the kitchen. The restrooms were great! Love the decor and the full individual stalls. Only recommendation would be to upgrade the locks to 'occupied/vacant' as it's hard to tell which are available. They def were busier when I left. They do have valet, no self parking and I used a ride share as I knew parking would be tight. I'd love to go back and try a few other things on their menu.
My wife and I went to Eberly's for Fathers Day and we had a wonderful time. The food was very good. You literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My ceasar salad was great and abundant in size, which helped. The service was a bit on the slow side, but they were all extremely friendly and attentive. The ambiance is date night. Dress is business casual. Look forward to good times here! BTW, there is a hidden speak easy (Shhhh...).
My girl Maren knew her stuff! She was absolutely the sweetest and everything she recommended was fantastic. The food was so good I was thinking about it the next day and knew I had to share it on Yelp! We got a 6:30 reservation and it was perfect; not too loud or too busy yet. We started with the bread rolls and HOLY! Those things just melted in your mouth and the butter with them was chef's kiss. Maren absolutely rocked my world by recommending the salmon. It came with a thick hash brown-like patty underneath, and it was so well done. The flavor was insane. The rigatoni was fab as well. It had a little kick, but nothing crazy. Now let's get to that toffee cake pudding. W O W. I have nothing else to say besides seriously save room for this in your stomach. Next time I definitely want to check out the cool bar in the back too. The burgers looked awesome
Great date spot! Especially before opera. Get the potatoes it's fantastic. The salmon and bolognese are also wonderful. Can't go wrong here!
Holiday party #4 - What a lovely Finance Holiday party at Eberly. It has been about two weeks since I had dinner at Eberly during another Finance meeting. Tonight, we were on the roof top of Eberly, which I had never frequented. Sometimes, your mind conjures up a vision of what a venue might be like, and then you are pleasantly surprised. That was the case tonight. I imagined a roof top that opened to the outside elements and potentially cold since its currently 50 degrees in Austin, TX. The roof top is an enclosed large area and aesthetically pleasing. The roof top is at the back of the building and literally next door to the railroad tracks. A train passed by during the holiday party...somewhat spooky and unexpected. When you step outside you can see a panoramic view of Austin, TX...so beautiful. The roof top has indoor and outdoor luxurious seating. The fellowship with like-minded folks is always uplifting. We dined on bites along with an open bar. Food included a charcuterie board, short rib and chicken sliders, potato balls, spinach cups and shrimp. The evening ended with cheesecake and fruit tartlets. Holidays parties are just fun because you have an opportunity to converse with your colleagues in a completely informality setting. Certainly, there will be laughter and some tall stories. The finance party was one of the highlights of the week. The mixologists served a curated array of adult beverages as well as tailored drinks to your liking. Many guests commented on the wine quality and the expert mixes of holiday spirits. Tonight, Eberly hosted 4 parties, and this contributed to some backup with the valet. It is important to note that valet services are free. Overall, a very pleasant evening with Finance colleagues.
We drove from NOLA to Austin with reservations here at 7p on a Monday (thank you for being open Monday or we'd never have been able to experience this)! The establishment is even grander than the photos make it out to be... massive rooms peppered with large wooden beams; tables; and ironworks throughout. There were two other tables finishing up, and us. Our 40-something waiter had just the right balance of casual earthiness and professional attentiveness to match the stateliness of this restaurant. I ordered the Double Feature (Mezcal, hibiscus, ginger) $17 and she her usual "old fashioned" Montecristo (rye, highland park, cynar) $18. Both were fabulous. For apps we noticed charred/tossed brussles with one of the entrees and asked our waiter if that could be an appetizer (not on the menu) and he promptly said Done! It was terrific. For entrees she ordered the Texas Wagyu Strip $48 and I had my go-to fav whenever I see it on a menu: Short Rib $40. See the menu pics for the sauces and sides, suffice to say... incredible. By 8p we were the only occupants left in this cathedral-like establishment and ended up lingering until 9:45, ordering another drink and then one of THE best desserts I have ever had... the Guinness Chocolate Cake (with pumpkin puree, candied quinoa, and maple/choc ice cream) $12. We agreed that the candied quinoa was over the top - adding a delightfully subtle crunch to every bite in this richly dark choc dessert. After realizing that for the past hour we were keeping the bartender, host, waiter, and kitchen singlehandedly at our beckon call, we quietly dropped a c-note for a four-way tip. Thank you folks for the beautiful welcome wagon and chance to unwind and reconnect after 9 hours on the highway!
The Eberly is a beautiful restaurant located on South Lamar. Perfect for date night or a girls night. The service was fantastic. Everyone was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Now for the fun part.... the food! You must start with the bread. It was perfectly fluffy and the sea salt on top was such a nice touch. The Lobster Spaghettini was delicious. Very saucy. We didn't love the desert s'mores bar, but that's totally fine because we saved some calories on that one lol. The marshmallow to chocolate ratio was way off; however I strongly believe this desert could be redeemed by increasing the size of the chocolate cake.
this review is for cedar tavern! austin is home to happy hour heaven, and cedar tavern is definitely one of the reasons why. basically all day $7 martinis, $10 burgers, and $5 apps all of which are delicious the mexican martini tasted like a marg with a bitter aftertaste probably due to the olive juice. the espresso martini was more impressive, balancing the vodka with espresso perfectly! definitely would get the espresso martini again the best appetizer hands down was the pommes dauphine, crispy little mashed potato balls essentially with crème fraiche. the perfect poppable bite to share the spinach artichoke dip was blended and less chunky than i'm used to - still delightfully cheesy. loved the crackers it came with fries were exactly how i like them! nice thin and a slight chew chovies - honestly the anchovies were wayyy too salty for me, but i see the vision with the radish. it helps cut through the salt. i wasn't able to finish it personally, but just my preference valet parking is definitely a plus bc otherwise this place would be a nightmare to park at read more

Dining at Eberly was truly one of the best experiences I've had in Austin this past year. Every ingredient in each dish stood out on its own and brought such a unique, thoughtful flavor to the meal. The restaurant itself was beautiful and quaint, which made the whole evening feel even more special. Even though we came in close to closing, the service was still great, and we will definitely be recommending Eberly to everyone we know. read more
This review is specifically for Cedar Tavern, which is attached to Eberly. It's a more casual space featuring a beautiful mahogany bar brought in from New York City in the 1800s, now enjoying its second life here in Austin. I stopped in for a solo happy hour and sat at the bar, though there are plenty of tables both inside and outside to choose from. They were running an Aperol Spritz special, which I enjoyed but there are also several martini options available during happy hour. For food I ordered the fries which were extra indulgent with a generous sprinkle of Parmesan on top. I didn't try the burger special, but it looked delicious from the guest next to me. There are also plenty of larger entrées if you're looking for a full dinner. The bartenders were friendly and attentive, which rounded out a great experience. Cedar Tavern will definitely be one of my go-to happy hour spots moving forward. read more

I came here when my boyfriend's parents were in town and it was a hit! We had a great server who was really attentive and gave great suggestions. The restaurant was beautiful and each area was very unique. We split a few appetizers and I got the halibut dish as my main, it was delicious! I was most impressed by the crème brûlée! Tried Cedar Tavern on a Tuesday evening with friends. This is a separate restaurant from Eberly, located in the back of the space? A little confusing and the location does not come up on apple or google maps. Their happy hour is great with $7 cocktails and affordable snacks. The place was quite packed for a Tuesday evening and there was one server for the entire back space (Cedar Tavern). Our server was very nice but the service took way too long. We waited at least 30 minutes to order our drinks and had to quickly place our food orders before he left our table. The wait for the food was quite long as well and our water was never refilled. The Tavern burger was easy to eat but not nearly good enough for its price of $20. Overall, the staff were friendly, the restaurant was gorgeous, but the food and service were subpar. Would be willing to try again but wouldn't recommend! read more
Met some friends for a birthday gathering here last week and had a great time. Our waitress let us know they still had happy hour until 7pm which was a nice surprise! We were seated at a table for 4 and could easily hear each other talk unlike many places these days which are so loud inside. We enjoyed sharing HH and non HH items including espresso martini's, regular dry gin martinis, oysters, mushrooms, and crab cake. It is a beautiful restaurant that comes with a high price tag. The bar, dining areas, and even the shared restroom is gorgeous. When we tried to make a reservation for a group of 14 they said they wouldn't be able to accommodate a party that big unless we booked the private room which had a spending minimum. So we booked two tables instead, but when we arrived 15 minutes early we found out that our tables had been given away. They worked quickly to arrange a large table for us that was able to accommodate everyone in our group at one table. Are server seemed a bit flustered at first and then was able to get all the recommendations and drinks going for everyone at the table. The wine was good, but the steak was not to my expectations. I love wagyu steak and it is very rare that I get a chance to have it so off courses I ordered it. It was not evenly cooked throughout with several pieces being less done than the others and when it was delivered. I ordered the steak medium and thought it was more medium rare. I think if I had gotten the opportunity to get an appetizer or desert it could have resided my review, but based on my experience I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back. read more

Such a good place for happy hour or dinner in general. The service is great can be a bit slow if they are busy but overall a great experience every time I've gone. They have a great happy hour. The food and drink options are great. read more

Flavors were really tasty but I was pretty sad about the oysters. They were tiny but did taste good overall. I feel the same about the rest of the good-- yummy but small. The rigatoni was rich and had good depth. The lobster pasta was also extremely tasty! read more

Eberly was everything I envisioned and more! From the bodacious rolls to the indulgent pasta, this spot provides a meal (and atmosphere) to remember. If you're not smitten by the atmosphere alone, I question your taste. But If youre not smitten by the atmosphere and are equally unimpressed by the food, I'm not sure you have a soul lol. I grabbed the only whiskey cocktail on menu paired with carrot and thyme, and while I was a little skeptical, once the concoction touched my lips I knew I was in for a good trip! This baby was surprisingly balanced! Additionally, my coworker suggested the oysters, and I'm so glad they did! They were silky, fresh, perfection with the perfect toppings to pair. From there we snacked on a few items, the polenta with carrots being the most interesting and imo delicious. The mushroom pasta recommended by one of the bartenders was equally impressive. The texture was unbelievably silky. It only took two of us to devour the entire order of milk bread! As the cherry on top, the stories behind each dish are equally impressive! I highly suggest asking your servers about your dish. This is one of those dining experiences that will have you touting the Austin dining scene! This is an experienced to be savored! read more
Eberly is a beautiful restaurant with a sophisticated yet friendly vibe. They have COMPLIMENTARY VALET parking, which was unheard of for me. It made the experience so much more seamless and stress-free. The food and drinks were good. The portion size of my Harlem Nights drink was generous - quite literally filled to the brim. My rigatoni portion however was not as generous (although it was very tasty and fresh). It did not take long for me to finish it, and I was still hungry after. My friend got the spagettini and it was very good, but the portion size could've been a little bigger as well. We also got the sticky toffee pudding for dessert - very good. Parking - valet Restaurant - has several sections and several vibes. There are two bars, one in the main restaurant and one at the back. There's a mix of booths, tables, and high top bar. Service - professional and friendly. I have only had attentive and good experiences here. A call out to Sade who was one step ahead - I was always with a drink, app, answers, etc. Food - I prefer the dinner menu which is filled with fresh items, oysters, beef tartare, halibut, etc. Well balanced, not overcooked, and seasoned perfectly. Drinks - long list of different cocktails, wines, and more. I love that the drinks are made fresh and cute details are added, like a floating small flower in my cup. I came to this location with my Yelp colleagues for a sit-down dinner with a pre- set menu. When I arrived at the restaurant, I turned my keys over to the valet to have my car valet parked (score, because I didn't want to do it myself). Off menu (made specifically for our dinner): potato croquettes with salsa brava and garlic aioli These patatas bravas are crispy even though they are baked and not fried. They were topped with a delicious smoky salsa brava and garlic aioli that had a punch and was earthy. This bravas sauce (salsa brava) is made with extra virgin olive oil, smoked paprika, and tomato paste. This salsa was perfectly drizzled atop hot fried potatoes. Off menu (made specifically for our dinner): mixed greens with cherry tomatoes, heirloom radish, and preserved lemon dressing. The heirloom radishes on this dish were crisp, spicy, and zesty and paired well with the acidity of the cherry tomatoes. Tempura Mushrooms- coral mushrooms, apple-miso gastrique, horseradish aioli These coral mushrooms have thick, dense, white bases yet don't have a distinct smell and have a bland flavor. However, the horseradish and apple-miso gastrique made for an unusual combination of naturally sweet apple and a hearty kick of horseradish. This is definitely a starter worth ordering again. Salmon* crispy rice cake, romanesco, citrus, chive beurre blanc, trout roe. I was so pleased to see trout roe on this salmon. I love trout roe as it has the same bright orange color as salmon eggs, but they're smaller, pop cleanly and finish with a burst of flavor that tastes something like jumping into a pristine freshwater lake! The beurre blanc on this dish was rich, velvety smooth, and luxurious! The bright burst of citrus flavor also added the needed acidity to the dish. Real nice place. I want to say snazzy but still no so much since in laid back Austin. Food was all top notch, but some dishes small on serving size like halibut. Pasta dishes much better. Bar was cool and had some history. It was taken from an old bar in NYC. Appetizers delish including the mushrooms and scallops. Dessert amazing as well. Our server was excellent and patient as we were deep into business discussions and took an hour for us to order after few appetizers. read more
I had the pleasure of dining at Eberly in Austin for a special occasion with my partner, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The restaurant is absolutely stunning--an aesthetic masterpiece. Our service was exceptional, and we chose to sit on the beautiful patio, which was perfect. The weather was just right, adding to the overall charm of the evening. We both had a wonderful time and, honestly, I'm completely in love with this place. The food was fantastic, with a menu that was unique and allowed me to try some new dishes. Will I return? Absolutely, without a doubt. I also really enjoyed the bar area, which had such a cozy, intimate atmosphere. We spent time getting to know one another even more. I went to Eberly for a birthday dinner after seeing all the gorgeous pictures on social media. The interior decor definitely lived up to the photos. The service was excellent and I love how they have complimentary valet given they are just off a busy intersection. We ordered the crudo, Mafaldine, eggplant Milanese, and pumpkin pie/ spiced pear sorbet for dessert. I thought the food was good but not great, especially given the price. The best part of the meal was the complimentary birthday dessert. read more
