Called the afternoon before an appt to cancel the next morning (leaving the pediatrician office on my way to the pharmacy) due to my children being sick and needing antibiotics. The office manager imposed a $50 cancelation fee per child. Just to be clear, the expectation is to bring kiddos to the dentist before they've had antibiotics for 24 hours. They aren't eligible to go to school but let's go to the dentist?! How safe is this ? Your policies are obnoxious and unsafe. read more

The nurses and everyone are super super sweet, they talked to my child about every tool trying to make her feel as comfortable as possible. They didn't care that it took a little longer just to make her feel more comfortable. however i feel like the Dr there doesn't have the nicest way with the kids. She was NOT very gentle or kind, nor did she try to comfort or console my child, she was pretty rough with the flossing and wiping of the mouth. if you want someone to judge your every parenting style and then continue to rant about how she parents her children and on top of that be rough with your child then great, this is the dentist office for you. read more

Loved the patience the hygienist and X-ray tech.Was very up set my child needs sedation and was set to have procedure performed never received phone call / in chart said it went to voicemail which my work has a no phone policy .Left no message and now have told to go to Panama City two hours away. Which my child will have to have whole process redone plus evaluation. After this was posted.Had cleaning done with hygentis went better than any previous appointment.Was even understanding that the Dentist "already left." Then 8 days later received a letter for dismissal from practice for not having good doctor patient communication . read more

My son/grandson went for dental pain..dentist popped in while on maternity leave, said he needed a baby tooth pulled, to contact Madison dental...they weren't accepting new patients...well, it was an emergency because of the pain, and NONE of the staff would help us get treated anywhere...even sent me to Jefferson health dept. Which has been closed two years now. They could not be bothered. Now, yesterday I arrived with granddaughter/ Daughter for what my card said was 9:30 appt...I was told I was too late, her appt was at 9...and couldn't see her. They gave her an appointment for next week. When I got home, I received a request to give a review of the appointment. I did... apparently they didn't like my review...they have now cancelled her appointment! Way to go! Tiny teeth...keep posting dancing videos...poor Dr. Astrid Gonzalez...this office staff is going to destroy her business/practice. read more

I moved to Tallahassee from Salt Lake City which has been a HUGE STEP BACKWARDS in the level and advancement of dental care. In Salt Lake City the offices are beautifully decorated, they give actual toys to the kids that come to the office, a goodie bag to go home with, but also everything is done IN OFFICE. This location is small and outdated, they give a sticker, and tried to advise me that my 3 year old needed 2 root canals, 2 filings and all would have to be done in a hospital setting. I set up a consultation appointment to talk about pricing. I have two dental insurances and a killer (copay only) heath insurance so I wasn't too worried about it. The lady (I think her name was Maria) tried to tell me in very hard to understand accent that it would be 5 months out (bc the hospital rooms are booked out that far) and wait for it.... $12,000!!!! Haha! I told her I'd rather take a trip to Utah and have her old pediatric dentist do it for a couple hundred dollars in office. Maria didn't seem very educated on how medical insurances work and didn't even try to run an estimate through my first and secondary dental insurances and medical before I took off time from work to make an appointment to be told $12,000! This office is price gouging the insurances. The reason I know this is because I got an appointment by the grace of God the next week at Smileworks (more modern, advanced and booked up dentist). In two weeks, they pulled both of my daughter's baby teeth, filled the cavities AND she didn't need sedation like Tiny Teeth were trying to convince me, oh let's not forget it cost $250!!! My other two kids had appointments scheduled for Tiny Teeth and I immediately cancelled and went with Smileworks instead! Also my one run in with Dr. Gonzales seemed like she was miserable dealing with kids, her bedside manners can be improved to make it fun for the kids and not literally seeming like it's pulling teeth for her to interact in a kind way to kids. I've never experienced that from any pediatric dentist in my past and I have 3 kids who my oldest is 13 and has been going to dentist regularly out in Utah since she was 1 year old. read more

First, the plaza is a bit shabby. I say that because the inside will blow your mind away! It is extremely kid-friendly they have seating, play area, kid movies, movies on the ceiling. So much color! I could do a photoshoot in this place. Now, my child is special needs and he does not like to be touched. They showed my son so much kindness with their friendly smiles and patience. Great office they really take time to take care of their patients

I have to separate my review into different sections since the experiences were so vastly different. Scheduling: as a new patient I left a message as the recording instructed when you call. A week goes by and no one calls me. Since their recording specifically says not to leave multiple messages for appt requests, I follow up with an email generated by an inquiry form on their website. Still nothing. Finally i call to talk to a human and let them know that I've tried to contact them via two methods. They apologize and work with me via email to set up the new appointment and get my insurance information. Arriving: upon arriving for our appt that we waited almost 4 weeks for, the greeting by the receptionist was friendly and welcoming. Check in was fast and the decor in the waiting room was lovely. Vibrant and clean it was very comfortable and inviting. Getting back: This is where the 3 stars comes from. More patients arrived after us (we were the first ones there for the day) and one was actually seen before us. Everyone else had paperwork to do (while i had brought mine in filled out already) and the room got quite crowded and noisy. We waited for 43 minutes before the receptionist looked at me asking me if my child was already back. No, he was standing right next to me. She let us back but did not direct us. The next few minutes were just confusing as random people just came up to me calling me "mom" and shuffling me to rooms, then out because they realized it was the wrong one, then finally into a secondary waiting room - with no toys - only chairs and a tv. it did not have a door so i was constantly having to fight my toddler from getting out. Finally, after a total of 58 minutes waiting since our appointment time, we were taken to a room. I overheard the woman who directed us to the room ask the hygienist how to prep for a 2 year old. "what do we do for 2 year olds?" As a mom, that concerns me that they are unaware on how to prepare the room for his age and weren't familiar with what the exam would be like either. Patient care: This is where they really shined, and the total reason why this wasn't a 1 star review. The hygienist was very sweet and caring towards my son. He is on the spectrum and I explained some of his issues and she was very accommodating. She made him feel comfortable and engaged him in a way that he responded - which is a big deal! She played with the water with him and kept him happy after she was done. She talked with me and inquired about Autism and was very receptive to learning about his needs. Her enthusiasm with him was wonderful and he smiled multiple times. When the dentist arrived she was also very delightful. She was thorough - asking me many questions - addressing my concerns and even educated me on some correlations with some of his other medical problems. She provided me with some care goals and also engaged with my son in a positive way. Overall: their logistics are lacking severely. They need to get a handle on their communications technology and get more organized in moving patients after they arrive. As someone who works, the longer I'm away from the office the less I get paid. I think an hour wait for a scheduled appointment is ridiculous. Please use names with people, give them idea of what to expect, and direct them on the expectations of their visit accordingly. Their bedside manner was amazing. Their patient care staff was so caring and sweet and really helped my autistic child through what could have likely been a very traumatic experience for him. I'm grateful for their attentiveness and dedication to a stress free experience. read more

I would give them 0 stars if I could. They don't care about their patients. I told them that they are the only ones in tally that that my sons insurance and they refused to see him. I had to cancel my first appointment because he was sick and the second time I had unforeseen issues and we couldn't make it. I begged her to take my one year old in because he had 2 chipped teeth and she basically said she did not care , they have a strict policy. I did call both times I cancelled to explain the situation and I couldn't have called any earlier . They should not have such strict rules when they're dealing with pediatrics. read more

My granddaughter loves visiting the office. The entire staff is amazing and so patient focused.
