I have been coming to First Care Dental for over 10 years now. My original dentist was Dr. Woodworth, but when he retired, Dr. Rigsby became my new dentist. Dr. Rigsby and his staff continued the same excellent care that I received from Dr. Woodworth so I remained a patient of First Care Dental. During every bi-annual visit, I am always greeted with a friendly smile from the front office staff. First Care keeps an immaculately clean office and I always have a pleasant visit. Brooklyn has been my dental hygienist for a few years now. She is always professional and does a great job. They offered to fill them right then and all in all I was in and out within an hour. During procedures they play island music to induce a relaxed feeling. This dental office required me to see periodontist first before doing any cleaning at my first visit. It is ridiculous and irresponsible! During the pandemic era, it is hard to get a dental cleaning appointment and the dentist just took the exam (covered by the insurance) without considering the patient's need. Worst of all, the dentist referred me to a periodontist that does not accept any insurance, nor to help patients to file a claim and refuse to give out patient's record to patients. read more

My son moved to Tallahassee for college last year and have not seen a dentist for over a year. He got an appointment at First Care Dental in November 2020. Finally, we thought he can get his teeth cleaned. However, when he came out of the clinic, he told me that they couldn't give him an appointment until May 2021. But they took an X-ray, fitted him for a mouth guard and collected over $700 and sent him away without his teeth getting cleaned. They said they will put his name on a waiting list in case someone cancels. This is now July 2021 and when I called again for an appointment, First Care said that their appointments for cleaning will not be until February. They don't follow up with their patients. I finally told the lady that if we were told before they took our money that my son will not get his cleaning that day, we would have not gone to their clinic. I've never seen any clinic that takes your money first without giving you the service you asked for in the beginning. First Care definitely cares about taking your money first and foremost. Love this place! My Dr is Dr.K (I don't know how to spell his last name off the top of my head) but he's so friendly and very informative. Hell answer any questions you have and doesn't keep you waiting. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. They get you out quick and answer any questions you have about setting appointments and paying. I get all of my work done here and would recommend everyone to check them out. They have a nice location and a cool set up. My dental assistant lady is very cool too. Everytime I go to see my dentist she's always the one that helps him and she's very nice. read more

Moved back to Tally recently, and called several other dentist offices, trying to schedule a new visit with cleaning. Most required separate visits, which is difficult with my work schedule. Fortunately, First Care offered to let me schedule both on the same visit. They even squeezed me in on short notice, when another patient cancelled. Not one to leave bad reviews, but I was very disappointed with my experience here. There was a miscommunication with the information they received for my first appointment. I called 2 days before my appointment in which they confirmed everything, but was not able to answer the phone the day before my appointment when they called. When I arrived I was rudely approached a office staff member whom I heard talking about me behind the glass before and after our conversation. I was not the only patient who had a problem within the first 30 minutes of me being there. Overall a very unprofessional and disorganized place, which is disappointing because the doctor was friendly. Will not be returning. read more

I was on a three week road trip when I developed a horrific toothache. I desperately needed to see a dentist but it was a Friday and either dentist offices were closed or they had no openings. Finally I called Dr Rigsby and he took me in in a half hour. I had to have a root canal. Ugh! The care I received was excellent. I had immediate relief from my pain and I was able to continue on with my vacation. So grateful they were able to get me in! I would recommend his care to anyone! What a great team! Dr. Rigsby and Miss Tequila took such good care of me this morning. I had a dental emergency and the emergency phone line was answered by the doctor himself before they were officially open. When I arrived they brought me in right away. The office is clean & the staff is extremely polite. Dr. Rigsby made me feel comfortable but unfortunately I couldn't give him anymore than 2 stars for the services I received. I really liked his assistant Tequila she was so nice to me. I went in for a clean & received 2 crowns & a fill in that hurts months after(now). He forced the crowns in my mouth & sent me on my way having to return to fix them again. He shaved them so much trying to get those same ones in my mouth that there's now a little hole on the top of my crown & I can't floss because the fill in hurts still (which I returned to fix & received same results). Ever since then I've been a bit scared to go to another dentist tbh fearing the almost $1000 I spent out of pocket wasn't worth a dime. read more

I really appreciate the care I have received at First Care Dental in the past year. I've had teeth cleanings twice and both times my experience was fantastic. The office is clean, the staff is awesome (thanks Brooklyn-my teeth feel so clean!) and Dr. Rigby is friendly and careful and I have not experienced any pain. I used to see Dr. Woodworth for many years, but glad he's not my dentist anymore! Within the last year I had crowns and had an overall, very frustrating experience. I was undercharged despite my efforts to correct the issue, of course later being charged the rest. Many questions went unanswered in how the crowns would turn out and after the procedure was completed, my dissatisfaction was treated as, "They look great. You'll just have to get used to them." It has been about eight months now and I still hate smiling for pictures. Note to self: question everything until answered before spending almost $4000 on crowns. I hadn't been to a dentist in a few years so I needed a few fillings on one side of my mouth, even though I never felt any pain or discomfort on that side. Thats fine, thats what I get for neglecting my dental care. Even a few weeks after the fillings however, I cannot chew on that side, and flossing is painful on that side. I go in and he files it down a little more, then tells me to call if it doesn't feel better. A few more weeks later I call and come in again, and he tells me I need a root canal!... but gives me antibiotics and tells me that if it doesn't feel better after a week, then it's not a root canal, and to call him again. So after a week, I still feel pain and can't floss so I call him and he tells me that maybe the sensitivity will go away and to wait another month and call back. I'm not sure what is going on with my teeth, but it just doesn't feel like he knows what's going on either. I'll be finding a new dentist. read more
