Their customer service is incredible - they respond to emails quickly and work really hard to make sure that you're satisfied and that you understand any changes to your account. Their product is also an incredible value - having your diapers and wipes picked up and delivered to your doorstep at a cost cheaper than disposable is incredible! I also really respect their commitment to sustainability and minimizing the environmental impact of diapering - they make cloth diapering easy and I'm so glad we're doing it! The number of diapers that we've needed week to week has changed as our baby has grown, and they've been really helpful in adjusting our order and anticipating our needs. Great local company that delivers all over the Bay Area. We used the service from the time my daughter was born until she was almost 2. The cloth service does end up being more expensive than disposables, but this was ok for us as the eco friendly aspect along with the health of our daughter's skin was the priority. If our laundry situation at home (i.e. not shared) was different, I most likely would have purchased inserts to wash at home, but the service was the most convenient thing ever for apartment dwellers who want to go with cotton. Someone was always available for questions via phone or email, you can purchase items from the shop and have them delivered, and the products were all top quality. "Well, I used to boil your diapers right on the stove." Says Mom. Great. That's awesome Mom. No really, it is. Just not what I want or have time to do at all. Thankfully there's Tiny Tots. Once a week I leave a bagful of dirty diapers outside. In the morning, the diaper faerie has magically turned those nasties into a bright white stack of clean cloth diapers all ready to take the abuse all over again. It's pretty wonderful. Add to that the fact that the cost is similar (or cheaper in some cases) when compared with using disposables, and you have me completely sold. We love cloth not only for health reasons but also they're supposed to make it easier to potty train . . . will have to get back to you on that one. Occasionally, I have confusing conversations with the staff when I need to change an order, but in general, we get what we're requesting and are well-satisfied with this service. I mean, who wouldn't want their very own diaper faerie to do the boiling for them? Note: if you do go for this service, I *highly* recommend taking their free "how-to" class before you start. Tiny Tots has made it so easy to go with cloth. Not only is delivery consistent and dependable, but the folks on the phone are very helpful at troubleshooting diapering issues. My cutie pie is a super soaker and I really needed a way to keep her drier at night. I called up Tiny Tots and they talked me through the options. They then sent us a handful of diapers in the next size up (for free) to see if they would work better. They do! They also recommended hemp liners so we ordered a few that arrived with our diapers - so convenient and exactly what we needed. With the larger diaper and hemp insert, Cora makes it through the night without needing a diaper change. I was originally planning to start with the service then switch to buying all-in-ones and washing myself. However, it seems that a service might be even more environmentally friendly than washing at home despite the gas used in the transportation trucks. Diapers are truly re-used until no longer usable and mass washing means less water, soap and bleach than when done at home. So, I can be lazy and green at the same time - that rocks! New customers take note -when you start service you get a special discount on items to purchase from their store. This review is not based on the diaper service, but rather the experience I had at an expo with a representative of this company. I went to the birth expo in Santa Cruz yesterday, 2/8/11 and I spoke with the representative there. I felt that he was very confrontational and argumentative. He was very pro- cloth diapers, and didn't even want to talk about the compostable service much at all, which was the reason I was there. He went as far as to say that people who use disposable diapers have dirty children! Why would they send a person as a representative of the company who has such a negative, confrontational attitude? :( My husband was quite upset that this man was arguing with me. I didn't come there to get in a fight with someone about their own products. I came for information and in fact I was excited for the chance to learn more about it! It's fine if they are pro- cloth and want to convince people to use cloth only, but the attitude should be better- and why do they even sell the compostables if they don't want people to buy them? Maybe that man would be better off behind the scenes. Since my first experience with this company was quite negative, I will not be using their service. Earth Baby, here I come! Do you know how we used to wash cloth diapers back in the day? It involved dipping the diapers in the toilet and bleach and line drying and letmetellyou, it wasn't pretty. Thank god for Tiny Tots for doing the dirty work so I can stick with cloth until our kiddo is potty trained. The #1 reason we are doing cloth, in fact, is to accelerate potty training as much as possible because babies can feel when they're wet and want to switch to the potty more quickly than if they never had to feel discomfort. The other #1 reason is to avoid putting chemicals (in the form of those little gels in most disposables) next to my kid's business. Even though I'm not permitting him to date until he's 35, I'd like for everything to work out for him when he does. The final #1 reason we are using cloth is, of course, to minimize our share of landfillage. I'm very grateful that Tiny Tots comes all the way to the City and is so sweet on the phone when I've called to put a vacation hold or to change the # of diapers we need. The only reason that I am not going the full 5 stars is because I wish the website was easier to use. While the customer service is top notch, it seems like they could catch up a bit technologically. The monthly newsletter (hard copy), however, is full of useful research and I look forward to reading it. With any luck on potty training, I'll only be a customer (at least with this kid) for another few months, so I had to get the good word out to others! read more

I love cloth diapers. I hate doing laundry. I know this is kind of contradictory. The cost of laundering dirty dipes at the laundromat across the street ends up being within $20 of Tiny Tot's diaper service rates. I'd rather budget a bit each month than haul a wet bag of poopy dipes down to the wash with a toddler in tow. Kind of a no brainer. For the last 21 months the Tiny Tots delivery man has come to our apartment building every Friday, climbed the stairs to the third floor and marched down the hall in the wee hours of the morning to take away the blue bag of gross and replace it with beautiful fresh clean prefolds for my baby's bum. I am seriously thankful for Tiny Tots' amazing service. read more

This service is awesome. We've been cloth-diapering our twins since birth and now have transitioned to a combo of cloth and compostable. You can throw cloth and compost diapers right in the same bin! No washing, no sorting. It is super easy. And it saves A TON of money! I love their selection of products. You'll find 1,000 choices on amazon, but without a ton of research, you'll have to guess which is best. Tiny Tots culls down the volume to the few best items, and the prices are very reasonable. For example, compost diapers and wipes cost half of what they do on diapers.com, and you can rest assured they are getting disposed of properly. I was amazed at how the Bambo diapers outperform Huggies and Pampers. They can really go 12 hrs without leaking AT ALL. The delivery is always on time, no problems, and they are accommodating when you're going to be out of town. It is the biggest load off my mind to know that I never have to think about when to get diapers. They just show up every week. The driver has our garage code and that's where we do pick up/drop off, so it's secure but the neighbors don't have to smell anything :o) I don't know how they get those diapers so clean, but they are like new every delivery. But the best part of the service is the staff. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. It's like your favorite auntie answers the phone every time. They all use cloth, have experience with babies, and can recommend products and the best way to use them. As a first time mom, I really appreciate their expertise and kind manner - without ever feeling like they are trying to sell me on anything. I hate giving lackluster reviews, but Tiny Tots kinda deserves it. While I found their staff to be generally very nice, I found the general service kind of "meh." They always showed up at random times to pick up - which didn't make it easy to plan my day, especially since the driver wouldn't leave the weekly delivery at my door if I wasn't home. I do not live in a dangerous neighborhood and I called them to say I would take responsibility if - God forbid - someone stole cloth diaper rags, but they somehow forgot that. When I called to complain, we set up another time for a delivery, but that never came. (I used the Tidee Didee service in Sacramento and LOVED them, so I have something to compare Tiny Tots to.) The other issue is that at seven months, putting a cloth diaper on my very active daughter is a pain in the ass. Plus, a cloth diaper does not do much at night time. So, I'm glad I averted seven months worth of diapers (mostly) from a land fill, but it's time to say goodbye to Tiny Tots. I am now looking for a compostable diaper service. read more

While I have to admit that we were really on the fence about using cloth diapers, getting a gift certificate for 6 months of diaper service is what pushed us off the fence. Tiny Tots made it easy for us to start using cloth diapers and to continue using them 6 months later. The customer service is wonderful and friendly. They helped us get started with figuring out how many diapers we would need for a newborn, how many diaper covers and what accessories we would need to get started. We originally started with a diaper champ, but the cloth diapers were always getting stuck. The flip-top diaper hamper was a much better way to go and all we had to do was order it and they dropped it off with the next week's diaper delivery. The first diaper drop-off day is completely based on where you live so be prepared to possibly wait almost a week before you get the first batch. Being in Menlo Park, our pick-up/drop-off is Monday night/Tuesday morning. It took a while to get the hang of using the 'snappis' that hold the cloth diaper onto the baby, but after just about a week, it became second nature. When our son was ready to move up to the next size, customer service sent us a few samples of the bigger diaper to make sure they were going to fit. Once we were ready to jump up in size, we returned all of the smaller ones and they dropped off all bigger diapers and new diaper covers. On ONE occasion, they didn't drop off any diapers and for some reason they hadn't logged any returned diapers the week before. I quickly called customer service and they had UPS deliver our diapers for the week since the driver wasn't coming back our way until the next week. I highly recommend doing a count of any remaining clean diapers when leaving dirty diapers outside for pickup every week. It makes it much easier to discuss your diaper count situation when you have this number. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the diaper counting seems a little inconsistent to me. We are signed up to have 75 diapers a week, but even when we have 30 diapers left over before a drop-off, they leave us like 58 so we end up swimming in diapers. When we tried to drop the level down to 45/week and they said that would mean we would have a pick-up only the next week, they still dropped off 50+ diapers and now we have 130 in the house! We're not being over-charged, but we really don't have room for all these diapers. I'm sure this could all be cleared up with another phone call... The only other thing that makes it difficult for ME is that since our delivery night is Monday, we have to make changes to our order by NOON on Friday the week before. For some reason, this is almost impossible for me to remember and I always end up having to wait until the NEXT week for changes to take place. If you live elsewhere and your delivery night is other than Monday night, you won't have to remember to call the week before to make changes. BUT if you're like me and you're a sleep-deprived new parent, you might not remember either. =) Well, overall my experience with Tiny Tots has been a positive and reliable one (reliable being VERY important when it comes to having diapers at the ready for your baby). I've been using this diaper service since February when my son was born. I attended a diapering class about a month before giving birth. After attending the class and talking to the staff, I learned everything I needed to know about cloth diapering our baby. It was great! Of course most everyone thought I was NUTS for choosing to cloth diaper but I moved forward with my plan, regardless. Later I found out that my sister-in-law used Tiny Tots Diaper Service for her sons and felt even better about my choice. The diapers arrive at my doorstep every Wednesday morning. The process couldn't be easier. I have a very nice diaper pail in the nursery - the dirty diapers go here (and I swear - no stink!) Once a week we put out dirty diapers outside our door and the next morning we have a bag of freshly cleaned diapers for the week! When I had an issue with leaking, they helped me troubleshoot what was happening. Turns out my diapering technique needed a little tweaking. I made the necessary adjustments and the leaking stopped. The people who answer the phones are very helpful and love to help out. The fact that you can order anything you want from the Tiny Tots Baby Boutique and have it delivered with your diaper order at no additional cost is very convenient. Even though I am transitioning from using prefolds to pocket diapers (that's a whole new world in the cloth diapering universe!), I am very happy that I chose Tiny Tots to begin my cloth diapering experience! I can't believe the great reviews for this company. In my opinion, they deserve 0 stars. First off, we received their service as a gift, so we did not opt in to their service. Originally, we were told they would drop off our first package of diapers 2 weeks before our due date. They were dropped off in early February. Our due date was mid March. I received a call at one point just after our child was born from someone at Tiny Tots asking when we wanted to start our service. I told her we had JUST had our child and I wasn't ready yet. Plus I thought she was too little for the diapers. I was met with an uncomfortable silence followed with, "well that's just not true" in a very condescending tone. Not any acknowledgement of me just having a child, just a rude person telling me I was wrong (whether I was or not, why does that need to be said to a woman who just gave birth?) Also, despite the fact that they were unkind and disrespectful, they offered me no advice on when my child would be ready for cloth diapers or where to buy the accessories you need to use their diapers. Not their problem, I guess. So I postponed. A couple weeks later I got another call asking me to start my service. Obviously they didn't listen to my concerns the last time I spoke with them. So I said fine, we'll start. It took us a while to figure out what we needed to keep the diapers on. Yes, in the paperwork we received with the first package, it said what to use with the diapers, but not where to buy it or any information other than the name of the clips. So we went on Amazon, found it, and bought it along with some diaper covers to keep her waste from getting everywhere, which I'm pretty sure they didn't mention. We started getting their service and the delivery person is so far the only thing we like about their company. He seemed nice. On the final week of our service, with a batch of fresh diapers, they attached a "bill" to the bag. It said that $98 was due next week. Due how? it was just a sheet of paper that said that. I had to call and ask. Again, I was met with an employee who clearly doesn't know what a friendly tone sounds like. He gave me the bare minimum facts in answer to my questions and had no interest in keeping my business, he just asked when I wanted to discontinue their service. I'm so glad we've ended their "service." I will never use this company again and look forward to never having to talk to any of them again. read more

When my wife said she wanted to go the cloth diaper route, my first thought was what cloth diapers were like when my younger brother was in them. Back then they were held on by safety pins, continually fell off, and were a stinky pain to wash ourselves. Then she pointed me to Tiny Tots, and I was an instant believer. Tiny Tots does home delivery of cloth diapers, picks up your dirty diapers weekly, uses green chemicals to clean the diapers, and delivers other diaper-related products directly to your door. Done, done and done! We used Tiny Tots home delivery service for the entire time (22 months) our son was in diapers. They were wonderful. We ordered a bunch of supplies to go with the diapers on the first order (diaper bin, wipes warmer, wool diaper covers, etc) and found that to be far easier than trying to find all of the same stuff in various stores or on various websites. The delivery men were very kind, and always worked with us if we had an special needs or issues. There were at least two times that we had some special need the driver hadn't known about, and we were able to call into Tiny Tots and have them send him back to our house. Their customer service was awesome. They have varying sizes of diapers to match your little one as they grow, and also offer varying numbers of diapers per week. We started with 80 per week, and were down to less than 10 when we finally opted out. Oh, and we converted the old dirty diaper bin into a clothes dirty clothes hamper. We used Tiny Tots Diaper Service for about the first three months of my son's life. It was easy to sign up and order online and the service was great. I actually went the cheaper route (when gas prices were lower) and decided to drop the diapers off myself. We lived in San Carlos at the time and their location is in Campbell. It was a little drive but it also gave me a chance to visit with my sister who lived in San Jose/Cambell. They have a nice boutique with cute stuff - most of it too expensive for my taste and not really my style but fun to browse through. If we didn't switch to pocket diapers, I definitely would've stayed with Tiny Tots until my son was out of diapers. read more

I LOVE Tiny Tots Diaper Service. I started the service when I was pregnant with my son -- they deliver your first set of diapers before your due date, then after you have the baby you begin your service. I really wanted to do cloth diapers, but I wasn't sure I could handle any laundry when the baby was so little & going through so many diapers. Having the diaper service was the best solution for us. Now that my son is a few months old, he's not going through as many diapers, so we decided to do laundry ourselves -- and Tiny Tots was happy to sell us two dozen diapers so we could do that! How awesome is that? The ladies who answer the phone are so helpful and supportive, I've enjoyed my conversations with all of them. The diapers are soft & very absorbent, and my son hasn't had diaper rash since he got past the pooping with every feeding stage. They're great! I am disappointed in that we ordered the diaper pail (decco) and it is incredibly inconvenient. The bags are complicated and the opening receptacle does not work well. Unlike other pails that are of equal or lesser value. I called to ask if they could give me a different one and they offered a basic trash bin that was worth about $20.00. For the amount of money you pay for this service they should be providing MUCH better customer service. I fully agree with previous posters about this company's great customer service! We placed our initial order online and got a call from Pam the next day to confirm the details. With twins on the way, we needed all the help and direction we could get and she helped us figure out what would work best for us to start with - all with a friendly and fun attitude! We initially ordered 90 preemie and 90 infant sized diapers for our "pre-birth" delivery. The delivery person actually dropped off two 90-count bags of infant size - which turned out to be a blessing in disguise because we now know our kids are 5 pounds each and will have outgrown the preemie size by the time they are actually born. At first, we thought they'd forgotten several of the diaper covers and snappi clips we ordered, but after we called and left a message, Mark from their office returned our call immediately and told us to double-check inside the Diaper Champ box. Sure enough, there was the rest of the order! And he didn't even make me feel like an idiot either, which was much appreciated. (I get enough of that as it is!) I love tiny tots. I first contacted them while pregnant, and not really knowing how the service would work with being in an apartment complex. We were able to get an extra front door key from our building management, which we mailed to Tiny Tots. I signed up for a registry and the diaper service. The registry items all came before the shower, and it was relatively easy to add diaper service to it. I just wish that the 'coupons' you sign up for wanting were infinite, so you don't have to keep adding to it, just have them float at the top, because everyone always needs service :) Our baby came 5 weeks early, so on top of needing to change from newborn to preemie, we did not get the early delivery of diapers and used disposables for the first week. Not like they could help out with that. I hate the idea of filling up a landfill with disposables. We use them for traveling, but it is so much nicer to have the compostable option, which we use at night, helping the baby sleep through the night. I also love that there is a boutique attached, whenever we need something for the baby, we just send an email, and it's delivered right to our door with no delivery fee! I also like supporting a local business as opposed to a national chain. Everyone we interact with is friendly and awesome. The number sizing is about right for a newborn, at almost a year we are down to ~55/week plus overnight compostable. read more

We have been using the Tiny Tots cotton diaper service for about a month now, and we are extremely impressed with Tiny Tots, and with how easy they make it to use cotton diapers. As far as I can tell, Tiny Tots is a family-run business, and the staff are extremely kind and helpful. When we started the service we ordered a "Diaper Champ" diaper pail, since online reviews said they were really good. Then we went to a diapering class (which we also recommend) at the Tiny Tots store where they told us honestly that the Diaper Champ was a bit of a pain (at least with cloth diapers), and that a much cheaper pail worked better. We asked if we could exchange the Diaper Champ and they told us no problem. That's a good example of how they've been really pleasant to work with. Another really cool thing about the service is that they will drop off supplies at your home with the next diaper shipment, which is great when you need to stock up on baby stuff. We highly recommend Tiny Tots diaper service, and also cloth diapering, which has turned out to be much easier than we expected. We also think it leads to a more pleasant changing experience for our daughter (cotton feels so much nicer, and it's easier to tell when the diaper is soiled). read more

I came to the store to buy cloth diapers. I was not very sure what exactly I was looking for since I never used cloth diapers and did not know anyone who used it. The lady at the store advised me to sign up for a diaper service instead of buying cloth diapers. I am so glad I listened to her. I used diaper service for 3 month. I think it is a good length because first 3 month are the hardest, you barely have time to sleep and eat, there is not time for laundry. I was very happy with the service. Not even once had an issue. I am glad I used the service because I think I would switch to the disposable diapers because of the laundry. After 3 month of using cloth I got so used to it that I bought my own pre-folds at Tiny Tots and used them ever since. read more

Every Thursday I put the bags of soiled diapers out at night and I get a big, bulging bag of brand new diapers when I open my front door on Friday morning (your delivery day depends upon your location).It's magic! This is a wonderful business, and has made using cloth diapers a wonderful experience. The staff is helpful, the drivers are always on time and on Wed morning I open my door to find 2 bags of perfectly clean, ready to use diapers! We had some confusion with missing diapers and they sent another load mid-week with no big fuss. I just called today to problem solve our week long vacation. Again, sweet, helpful service and a quick fix. (which, by the way, speaks to the fact that we adore cloth over disposables. we have mixed service but only use the compostable disposable diapers at night and when he take her out for a long walk or shopping trip. This is not because the compostable are in any, shape or form bad but because the cloth are so absorbent and fantastic and we're on the "diaper free before 3" trajectory. This is a wonderful service and company. I am thoroughly impressed with their customer service. The staff are very responsive and have gone out of their way to get me my diapers, even making a special delivery two times to make sure that I had what I needed. As a first time mom, it's taken me about two months to figure out what amount and kind of diapers I needed and wanted to use. They made it super easy to make changes, always answer questions, call you back when they say they will, and are very friendly. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone interested in an environmental alternative to disposable diapering. They offer cloth, compostable and mixed cloth/compostable service. Both their cloth and compostable diapers are easy to use, especially with the weekly pick up. If you choose to use both types you can throw all, including compostable baby wipes, into the same bin for pick up. If you don't want to use cloth diapers or find them difficult to use, the compostable Eco-genesis brand diapers are a much better alternative to Huggies or other common brands both for the environment and for baby as they contain less chemicals. There was confusion about when to start the service and having them understand how old our daughter was. However they were very quick to solve all issues with no hassles. They are extremely customer service oriented. The owners will personally help you if their customer service is unable to resolve an issue. They have easy to follow instructional videos on their website. We really like how convenient the service is too. My wife and I sadly had to end our Tiny Tots service when our daughter was potty-trained. Of course we were thrilled no more diapers but bittersweet to no longer use the service (wife's exact words). Their customer service is the best - whenever we had an emergency, they went above and beyond to help us out. They even had employees drop off diapers on their way home. How cool is that? The compost diapers were great and we love that we were able to keep diapers out of our landfill! We have been using tiny tots service for 7 months now and love the combo of washable diapers during the day and compostable for night use. For that reason we are SUPER bummed that TT is discontinuing their washable service and providing compostable only. We really like cloth diapers and don't relish having to consume single use diapers during the day even if they are composted. So now we are considering using tidee didee for washables and TT for compostable, but this combined cost of both services adds up. TT, I understand you are losing your laundry vendor but would encourage you to source a new one! It might cost a bit more than we paid before but couldn't be as much as what I'm facing hiring two services! read more

Sigh, Tiny Tots is seriously the best. We have been customers of theirs for the last three years - and I still get a warm fuzzy feeling when I see the blue bag of dirty diapers is magically replaced with a blue bag of pristine, clean diapers overnight. We use the cloth diapers, compostable diapers, and their wipes. Not only is it all better for the environment but we feel better for our kiddos too. My friend has one of her baby registries with Tiny Tots and plans on using their diaper service when her daughter arrives. Compared to the other places she was registered, I preferred my online shopping experience at Tiny Tots. The registry was much easier to find and look through and ordering was easy. I liked how they offered lots of shipping options, including free UPS on purchases of $50 or more. For me, it was even easier. Since my friend plans on using their diaper service, I can have my items delivered with their first month's shipment. One of the registry items they offer is gift certificates towards the monthly diaper service. This is super super helpful because everyone can chip in to cover the first month or two of diapers. How awesome is that! I know friends of disposable users try to do a "diaper tree" or whatever clever way they can help the parents stock up on diapers. Cloth or disposable, diapers really are the most practical gift you can give a new parent. I was a cloth diaper baby and I plan on doing this with my kids someday. The only drawback is that my poor parents were slaves to the washing machine. I have to start off by saying that I myself was a Tiny Tots baby and my mom always raves about the service and boy was she right! I cannot say enough about this company! Our delivery driver is awesome and has helped ensure we didn't miss a pick up several times. I actually communicate most with Pam though who is very kind and beyond helpful. She's got all the answers from giving me advice to doing audits to ensure that we have the right amount of diapers to explaining other products that I had no idea about. Ugh! I can't understand how Tiny Tots has so many positive reviews. We've been using them since our four-month-old was born, but are switching to another service. Not only are they constantly making errors in the number of returned diapers (meaning we don't get enough delivered the next week and we run out), but the quality of the diapers is horrible! The newborn ones started out with just a few issues, but when we went up to regular size, it got so much worse. Even our pediatrician recommended that we change services due to the long strings and tatters that get by whatever QA policies they have. There's also rough pilling, uneven sizes, and a weird brown color on the edges sometimes, almost like a chemical burn. I have to spend time every week trimming the threads hanging from the ends of every other diaper! Customer service has been polite, but basically said that they can get away with having poor quality diapers, and it wouldn't be cost effective for them to invest in more quality control. read more

They offered to drop off diapers earlier than the weekly delivery date when our second son came along (I forgot to order the diapers before his birth), and this week, they also offered to deliver more than our usual amount in order to prevent us from running out! All this without an extra charge too. Fantastic! We're doing a combination of cloth and compostable diapers this time, and it couldn't be easier! Both get delivered to our doorstep every week, including compostable wipes, and both get picked up together every week too. No need to separate and no problem with smelly diapers hanging around either! We use the Diaper Dekor Plus and when it's full, we keep the bags in our garage until the pickup date. Also, there's no need to rinse out the diapers before putting them in the Dekor. It's just as easy as disposables and actually easier with the weekly delivery to our doorstep! The new diapers are there when we wake up on Thursday mornings. It's so good to know we're helping to preserve the world our kids will inherit, and this keeps our kids healthier while they're in diapers. Our oldest son never had a single diaper rash while he wore cloth! And it keeps the diaper area much cooler than disposables do, which has long-term health benefits as well, particularly for boys.
