My Fiancé and I went to Estes Park for a wedding. The bride/ groom recommended staying at the Trout Haven resorts Beaver Brook on the river. I accidentally booked the Tiny Town cabins instead of the Beaver Brook. Due to the cancellation policy, I was not able to receive any refund for my mistake. We had a wonderful stay in cabin #20 Aspen. It was secluded by the river. Hearing the river at night with windows open was amazing. We also often had some elk visit in the back by the picnic table and chairs. Overall, we loved it here and it felt cozy. The bed is so comfortable and roomy. There was a good spaced armoire in the bedroom that fit all my clothes and shoes (I'm a heavy packer). We set all of our snacks and drinks on the dining room table. Counter was clean and big in kitchen. Fridge and stove were also clean. Lots of cooking ware in the kitchen as well as utensils. They have a microwave. No toaster (that I saw.. I didn't look too hard haha). Bathroom was pretty spacious and I think they had heated flooring in front of the tub?! Water was a little confusing to figure out. Left is hot, middle is to turn from tub faucet to shower, and right was cold (turned cold just slightly- controls were touchy). I started to freak out not seeing reviews specific to this cabin. Trying to provide as much detail as I can to avoid outdated reviews scaring new visitors from this beautiful remodeled cabin. Kim and Q from Iowa - we loved this cabin. Now onto some cons: 1. Because of the wind and nature itself, there is a lot of dirt and debris that gets in. I wish I had brought my own slippers. I wore socks or shoes inside to avoid getting dirt in the bed. We had the windows open, so dirt and little debris ended getting in anyways. 2. The window in the bedroom has a slit in the netting. Again, we got debris and bugs like mosquitos inside because of it. (At least we got good air flow lol!) 3. The hot water pressure is not as good. But the water does get hot and it gets hot fairly quickly. 4. I wish the bathroom had some cheap hand soap in it. I brought my own hand soap in case they didn't have any. Good thinking on my end. I am not using shampoo to wash my hands after using the restroom. Other than those minor details, this stay was amazing. Again, we loved the cabin and hope to come back someday. :) read more

We stayed a week in cabin six, the pictures from their site are very old. Most of the cabins aren't used due to disrepair. The tub/shower was down right dangerous, hard to get in/out and very slippery. No one was in the office for days and there was no AC so the windows had to be left open at night, not relaxing at all. (We were not told prior to arrival) The couch in the living room was so bad we sat on wood chairs and the picnic table was so warped it was un-useable. This stay cost a lot and offered very little. read more

Cabin 3 fireplace beware. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights knowing a hot fire should have all the smoke going up the chimney; both nights our cabin was smoke filled & had to leave the windows open & reversed the fan at night. When complaining to the office the first day, we got it is due to wind, well it was not that windy & our neighbors didn't have any problems when we talked to them with their fireplace. At check out, the office said ok & not even an apology. We were not looking for anything other for them to address for the next guest. Well it didn't seem they cared so good luck! We reserved a cabin for 8 days. First few days were fine, then we noticed three mice the same day. My Mother who has dementia and lives with us was at a respite facility while we were on vacation. I asked them if we could leave a day early because my Mom was having issues at the facility and we needed to pick her up early. Management said they feel very bad for my situation and wished they could do something for me but they couldn't. In fact they could have done something, but they chose not too. I am honestly a little surprised by some of the bad reviews on here for this place. We had a good experience. We stayed there during Christmas break. The cabin is small and cozy. It was the perfect size for me and my hubby and our fur baby. We could park our car right In front if the front door. The location is beautiful of course. We love Estes Park. The cabin had all the basic amenities such as hot water, utensils, gas stove, heater, firewood (we got this from the front desk). Here's the bad part. I am a stickler for clean bed sheets avd always check pillow cases before going to bed. It was obvious that the pillow cases had not been washed since the previous guest. There was hair all over it. I had to cover it with my shawl. Also, if you leave the heating on at night, the cabin tends to get very warm. If you don't have the heating on, it will be very cold and there's not enough blankets provided. Would we come back. I think so. But we will make sure to bring plenty of blankets and our own sheets. read more

Loved staying in our adorable cabin!! The staff was super nice and even upgraded us to a nice/larger cabin for no extra fee. I brought my husband here for his 30th bday and there were so many great spots close by for us to hang out and eat. We also LOVED the view! We spent two nights at Tiny Town Cabins, and would definitely stay again! The location was great, just about a mile outside the town of Estes Park, and within walking distance to a great BBQ restaurant and pizza joint. Also was a perfect location for hiking, as the park entrance was right down the road, but we didn't have to drive through town to get there. The cabins were tiny but adorable. Very comfortable, homey and private. Normally I wouldn't like wood paneling on the walls, but it was a perfect fit in these cabins with the quirky old decor, and I felt like I was staying at a friend's house in the woods. The things that mattered were high quality: beds, bedding, towels, appliances, etc. But make sure you ask how to work your heater if you go in colder months, we couldn't get ours turned on. The service was great, very friendly and helpful with directions. read more

My wife and I had this resort booked for late October on our way there a wild fire broke out. We decided for our safety and to stay out of the way of the fire departments that were working so hard that we should not go. We called and the woman we spoke to was very rude and would not give a refund back and promised us that the fire was not bad. Less than 12 hours after we spoke the whole town had to be evacuated and the smoke was so bad you couldn't see. They obviously do not care about safety of their guests and are in it just for the money. read more

This is a great starter place if you're new to visiting the national forest. The staff is friendly but not very good at offering any type of housekeeping service. Our third stay at TTC was for a week. We were given 3 towels, two rolls of toilet paper, two packs of coffee and one roll of paper towels. After we'd been there for 3 days and reused the same towels and ran out of toilet paper I called the front and asked them to bring me more. The woman asked me how much longer we'd be staying. I thought she would provide us with enough to make it through the remainder of the trip but instead we got another 2 towels, 2 wash cloths, 2 hand towels and 2 rolls of toilet paper. Knowing that we would be needing much more we went down to the local Safeway and bought a week's worth of groceries and supplies. This, of course, meant a lot of trash. There's no trash pick service so I called again and the woman told me there was a dumpster I could put my trash in. No problem, except it was completely full for the entire week. So, we had to load up our trash and take it with us... The cabin itself was cleaned but old and in need of some serious TLC. The carpet is ripped in a couple places and filthy. The bottom of our socks were black each night. And the spiders.... I hate spiders. We killed at least a dozen in the week we were there. All in all, we enjoyed the stay but it's time for us to move on to a nicer place. read more

This is the real deal. Couldn't believe this was not already average of 5 stars in yelp. This place starts off with the most genuine caring group of people that want to ensure your stay in not only their cabins are great but that your stay in their hometown is great as well. They eagerly assisted in providing pamphlets and describing things to do in the area. Seriously, good genuine people that work there. I almost would come back just got the service alone. The cabins. Perfect! Those complaining about it being outdated, I don't know what you're looking for. If you want a 50 inch plasma TV then I recommend not choosing estes Park as your place to vacation. Go to Denver. The place comes with a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. All good size. I slept very comfortable. I only wish I would've stayed longer to enjoy some bbq on the grills of each of our personal decks. I'm already looking forward in coming back and bringing my daughter. This is a perfect getaway from those looking to relax, find peace and tranquility, and meet very caring and affectionate group of locals. read more

I loved this place !! I spent 4 nights in the River Bend cabin this week. It was very comfortable, clean and the location at the end of the row of cabins, made for a quiet experience. The cabin was right on the river with 2 personal Adirondack chairs sitting on rivers edge. It was a 5 minute drive to the ranger station of Rocky Mountain National Park and a convenience store 5 min walk from the cabin. All in all great experience and I will be back next year !! read more

My husband and I stayed the nights of July 26th and 27th in "The Best View" cabin. It was beautiful! The cabins are so cozy and very nice. They are not old and "woodsy" or full of bugs or anything like that. They had everything we needed: plenty of fresh towels, toothpaste, soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner. The kitchen had all dishes needed to cook a meal, salt and pepper, coffee and a coffee maker-everything. The only thing that I was disappointed about (personally) is that our cabin did not have a bathtub and I LOVE baths and really wanted to take one while I was out there on vacation. But none the less, these cabins are awesome and we would definitely stay again! Oh and there were two elk right outside of the cabins, chipmunks, rabbits and humming birds everywhere! =] read more

My husband and I just returned from two wonderful, restful days at Tiny Town Cabins and we recommend this spot for a weekend get away or longer stay. The space is perfect for two. Our Riverbend cabin was clean, quiet and cosy. We lo ved our wood fireplace -- especially on the snowy days. We didn't do any cooking on the little gas range, but would have if we'd stayed longer. And we appreciated the fridge to store leftovers and snack. The cabin is basic, but the ammenities it has are more than adequate -- good lighting, lots of hot water and did I mention the wood fireplace?! Another thing I loved is the mountain view from the kitchen window. And while the cabins are visible from the road, you don't hear the traffic at all. The staff was friendly and helpful when we checked in and out. I would have liked a second bedside table and some hangers. That was all the was missing. read more

My husband and 8-yr old daughter stayed one night in the Brook Trout Suite for a quick weekend getaway. What drew us to this place was the Kids Trout Fishing Pond since my daughter has always wanted to learn how to fish. Firstly, I must acknowledge the staff who runs the Fishing Pond because they were extremely helpful and patient with us--especially Lee. He did everything he could to help my daugther catch a fish, and she finally did! As for the suite, it was comfortable and very quiet. The location is great and we saw some amazing wildlife from the back porch. The sitting room is a bit small and the furniture wouldn't accommodate many people, but for us it was fine. It was very clean and everyone we dealt with was friendly. We would go back and recommend to other families who are looking for a decent and fun place to stay in Estes that is reasonably priced. We loved the BBQ place (Dave's BBQ and Tap House). We walked to it and the food was amazing. The wait was long so we chose to eat in the bar and it was worth it. read more

First I'll start by saying we enjoyed our stay at Tiny Town Cabins. The customer service was excellent. Everyone we met was sincere and helpful. We arrived a few hours early and they let us check in since the cabin was ready. Tiny Town Cabins are right next to Trout Haven and Smokin' Daves BBQ which were fun places to visit. The place was confusing to get to because the signs direct you to the old office building. Luckily, the new office is very very close. We stayed in the Aspen cabin, #20, which was a little larger than the others and seemed to have more privacy from the rest of the cabins. It was also closest to the river which we LOVED. You could open the windows and hear the rushing of the water. We both felt like the interior of the cabin was a little outdated which was all right, but for the price, we were hoping it would be a bit nicer. We used the heater on our first night but it sounded and looked scary that I was afraid to use it again. My husband assures me the discoloration on the vent was not burn marks. The cabin did come with a full kitchen: refrigerator with freezer, oven, stove, and microwave. There was also a coffee pot, plates, cups, silverware, and some cooking utensils. There is a tiny charcoal grill out back. We wanted to cook using the gas oven but the fire alarm kept going off, even when all of the windows and doors were open and there was no visible smoke from anything. We lit the gas stove flame to cook on it and the fire alarm went off before we put anything on it. It is right above the stove/oven and apparently, very sensitive. The bathroom looked updated and we had no issues with having enough hot water. They provided towels and linens on the bed. All in all, the location is awesome. We loved being close to RMNP and the little downtown shopping area (1.5 miles away maybe?). Also our cabins being next to the river was beautiful. The customer service was great, but like another reviewer said, there is no formal housekeeping during your stay so be aware of that. It is a very cozy and convenient place to stay. We probably would not stay here again because of the price. read more

Our normal place in Estes was booked and we absolutely love Mitchell from the mini-golf course, who used to own Tiny Town, so we thought we would give it a try. When we arrived the staff was very friendly at check-in. They even called to let us know it was ready. When we opened the cabin, we stayed in #17, it was like a hot box. We immediately went around and opened all the windows to cool it down. The cabin had what we needed and was clean. We were hoping to see ELK during our stay but only saw one about 10:30pm. Overall, our stay was pleasant. I'd have to say that the price is a little high for what you get. Our usual place is secluded, has bedrooms, and has A/C. We loved that we could bring our 3 dogs but we felt bad leaving them in their kennels in the cabin because it got so hot in there. I'd recommend that Tiny town 1) evaluates their prices 2) add some sort of AC in the cabins Unless they add AC we will not be returning in the hotter months of the year. Miserable inside. read more

Let me preface my review with honesty and tell you that I am not a "roughin' it" kind of girl. So the cabins may be perfect for lots of people, but I could never get comfortable. I've listed a few positives and negatives for Tiny Town, but please hear that although I will not stay again, the cabins and the atmosphere are what are advertised. (except for the noise from the patrons of mini golf out front) Positives: Customer service is excellent; convenient to Estes Park for shopping and restaurants; on the Big Thompson River; cabin is very clean; thick bathroom towels; small wildlife everywhere. I was able to appreciate the outdated appliances because the cabin had that 50s/60s feel. Plenty of windows to let in the wonderfully cool breeze. Negatives: Front of property is not very picturesque and has the miniature golf course that is open until late...lots of crowd noise in the summer; pillows flat and uncomfortable; shower curtain was as thin as a garbage bag; awful smell coming from somewhere every morning; bathroom was incredibly small; the only seating is a plastic lawn chair in the "living room" (which is also the bedroom) and wooden dining chairs in the "sun room." Exposed hot water heater and piping. Our cabin, #10, met our needs for lodging, but would be a little more likable if a decent shower curtain was installed so that it did not cling to the body while showering (there is only a shower). Get a couple of decent pillows and invest in "tiny" furniture for comfortable lounging. We, my husband and I, could never relax in the cabin unless we were ready to go to bed and even then, the bed is pushed against the wall so someone has to climb over the other. I would also recommend a covering for the hot water heater and shutters or curtains that cover a few of the open shelving and exposed piping. Because of this, I would not feel comfortable with small children in the cabin that we were in because of the exposed water piping and rough edges. read more

I won't even go into the quality of the cabins or place. We booked several cabins here for my child's wedding party. We rented a total of 7 cabins and one of the duplexes. Several of us booked back in October of 2019 for a stay last month. They make you pay 1/2 up front. I booked and with in 2 weeks my card number was used at a Walgreens for a small amount. It was a card that I hardly use so I knew it was from booking on their web site. I found out from my son in law and his father that their cards were also used at Walgreens and we all booked with-in a week of each other. I contacted the hotel and talked with the general Manager Adam and the owner of the site they use www.bookingcenter.com It's obviously a small operation since I called the sales line and got the owner. He denied any breach saying it was impossible and more probable that some low paid hotel worker at tiny town was responsible. Adam was receptive about it but the only thing they offered was to let be call directly and send in a check. After that the other father booked another room with a different card for his mother and guess what it was hacked within the week. It was the only transaction he made on the new card. Several calls back and forth to Adam with no compensation or consideration given for our troubles.He did advise that any credit card given even if over the phone would be entered into their system which is maintained by bookingcenter .com Well we stayed there and most paid the other half with cash except another grandmother. Her card was hacked in the last week for several charges at Avon and other places. Most who book there won't know this is where their card is scammed because as most people think it could be anywhere. The right thing to do would be for the company to send a letter to all guests in at least the last 6 months to warn them but at this point when another card is scammed 8 months later maybe they are selling the card numbers. Management was made aware and did nothing to remedy it. If you have stayed here in the last year check your charges for fraudulent transactions. read more

I'll start by saying that the customer service at the front desk was excellent for check in and check out. The rest of the time not so much. They don't offer any housekeeping services during the duration of your stay. I stayed in cabin #9, and thought it was a little outdated, which is was alright since we're in the middle of the forest. I was just hoping it would be a little bit nicer for the price I paid. I was given one and half rolls of toilet paper, two towels, and two packs of coffee. By the third day, I thought they would at least take out the trash or give me fresh towels. At one point I did request to have someone pick up our trash and they said they'll send someone right away. No one ever came. I walked around the cabin in socks and noticed that every night the bottom was black. In my friends cabin, since this is a place that's dog friendly, we noticed some land mines from the previous vacationers dog on the floor when we moved the couch. As for spiders, I killed at least eight of them just in the bathroom alone. They look cute from the outside but, once you get inside, not so good. At least you have good food next door at Smokin' Daves BBQ. read more

4th of July first time renting a cabin. We chose Tiny Town thru the website. Adam and Stacy accomodated us to no end. Cabin #13 clean, comfortable, great setting. Allowed our dog! Late night check in to a lit cabin and bundles of firewood provided by staff. We will definitely be back time and time again. Thank you Tiny Town for making our stay memorable. read more

I stayed in a cabin over the 4th of July weekend which had an older defective stove that developed a gas leak. I returned from a day of hiking and gas fumes were in the kitchen. Management would not acknowledge how serious a gas leak could be. There were no instructions on lighting the stove. I was told they are "replacing older stoves, because pilots light go out. Any stove that allows gas to escape when the pilot light is out is dangerously outdated or defective. Please be advised that the management, which runs other local properties, operates strictly from a corporate perspective and will not apologize or voluntarily make better a bad experience. BTW the cabins are 1940s vintage, with small/old TV and photos on the website do match reality. My cabin had cookware, but no plates or cups. If you stay ask for a cabin with a new stove and having complete set of dish ware. If management was smart they would be immediately replace all older stoves. read more

I was going to keep my opinion of my stay to myself but Tiny Town Cabins sent me an email asking me to place my review on this site. This is our fourth time staying in cabins in Estes Park and our first time at Tiny Town Cabins. I will never stay again. Our most desireable was sold out. We stayed from Friday 9/18/15 for 3 nights. When we arrived we went to the check-in to see when we could check-in and was told our cabin was available (Cabin #18). We went to our cabin (which was called the Best View and had a view from the front of an empty lot and the gas station.) Unfortunately, the trout pond was behind us but was not visible from inside our cabin or on the porch so I am not sure what the view was of as we could not see the stream or anything desireable from our cabin. When we entered our cabin it smelled of gas so I called the front desk and informed them. They said they would send maintenance to check it. We then also discovered that our bed was made but with the dirty sheets of the previous occupants and dead flies on the kitchen counter and on the sink. I then went up to the front desk and was told that they did let us have our cabin early (they said it was ready?) and they would refund my deposit and we could go somewhere else. (Sold out other cabins so we said we would stay). They asked if we would come back later and they would make the bed. The maintenance man (who was very, very nice) said that it was the fumes from the exhaust and it was okay. We left for a couple of hours and when we returned to the cabin the smell was so strong so again I called the front desk and the maintenance men said they would turn it off (the heater is an old wall heater and the maintenance crew stated that they were going to replace it this winter) and bring us a portable heater and some firewood. The portable heater put off very little heat (we could straddle it while trying to get warm). There were flies galore in the cabin. The towels were very rough and felt like sandpaper, the tv screen is the size of a computer screen, there were 2 chairs to sit in and one was very stained and dirty. For $190 a night there were absolutely no amenities and I do like a rustic type cabin but not a cheap one. I was also very disappointed that no one checked with us to see if everything was okay after our experience upon checking in and with no heat. Would I stay here again....never. read more
