TLDR: Great pizza, awesome owner, and a real neighborhood asset. After living in Federal Hill for six years, I've seen plenty of pizza spots come and go, but TinyBrickOven is definitely a step above the rest. Not just because of the pizza, but because of how the owner runs his business and cares about the community. We stopped in before a nearby Yelp Elite event to grab a quick pregame slice and went for their 2-slice special ie. two slices and a Jones fountain soda for $8. Following Dave Portnoy's advice, we got plain cheese to really test the quality. The slices didn't disappoint. Crispy bottom, soft top, and a perfect sauce/cheese ratio. The slice size was a little smaller than NYC-style slices, but for the price, no complaints. The staff was super friendly and even gave us free gelato samples while we waited. The owner is clearly passionate about what he does, and I love that he runs a "pay it forward" slice program so people can donate slices for those in need. Overall, this place is a true local favorite and well worth a visit if you're in the Fed Hill area. Great pizza, great people, great vibes.

One bite, everybody knows the rules! Such a great local spot if you're looking for No Frills pizza. Upon approaching the building, the owner was outside doing some cosmetic work and he immediately created us and welcomed us in. Then we walked in one of the staff also greeted us right away and let us know if we needed any help just to let her know. The menu overall is pretty simple and the prices are great. They also offer some dessert options and she even offered us some free samples of their gelato. And after the free samples, I would highly recommend that everyone grabs a cup. The pizza is so simple and a wave of nostalgia just came over as I but into it. While the pizza was on the thinner side, it still had a nice crunch and a chew at the same time. They also have Jones soda on tap, which is amazing because I really think their sodas are flavorful. The spot overall is pretty small so if you plan on sending they do have a couple tables and some bar areas but otherwise you would probably have to take it to go . If you're not familiar with the area, it is street parking and a lot of the places in Federal Hill are permit only so just make sure that you read the science carefully before parking.

What an awesome experience & an excellent pizza! As an Italian-Bostonian who grew up on delicious pizza, this is right up there with the best! If you're looking for a fine dining experience, then this place isn't your cup of tea but if you want an authentic & tasty pizza pie, then this place delivers! Will, the owner & manager is also the nicest guy & worthy of your purchase!

Currently only pizza is available.

Please read the whole review as there is some important information!!! I arrived on a Tuesday morning at 1115 after the infamous Dave Portnoy visit. I was the second person to walk into the door that morning and had the opportunity to speak at length with Will before it got crazy. I have to mention that Will is everything that he was during the Dave Portnoy visit. He is truly the nicest guy you will ever meet. He is down to earth, veteran and all around great guy !! The place is extremely small, 12 seats in total. At the time of review I would say you're not going to be able to sit down and eat as it's just that busy. The pizza..... If you like New York style pizza then it doesn't get any better. It's thin, great sauce and Will uses a high quality pepperoni!!! Due to the high demand patrons were limited to one 16"in pizza per person/or group of two. Groups of four or more could get two pizzas. Will also has an amazing pay it forward system going on. Buy a slice for a person in need!!!! It's sad that it took Dave Portnoy to visit in order to wake us up to this amazing place. I'm glad he did, Will and Tiny Brick Oven are both amazing.

Arrived in the afternoon during a busy weekend and decided to take out for desserts. My first visit and was underwhelmed by the service received. Rushed and transactional. Packaging was very sloppy and my napoleons were shoved to the side, making the clear clamshells very messy when I arrived home. If only the desserts were saving grace, but was left disappointed as well. As others have mentioned, the pastries do not taste fresh. The ricotta cream in the original cannoli tasted warm and gritty, the shell was stale. I noticed these were sitting out. The puff pastry in the Napoleons were soggy. The cream puffs shell was stale and chocolate topping was super sweet, unfortunately these were far from heavenly. Maybe another day, Vaccaro.

The vibe inside was relaxing. We were here for a few hours enjoying our coffee, tea and desserts and it was a nice place to pass the time on a cold, freezing day. The thing that dropped the review was basically the coffee and desserts. The coffee was fine, but just your standard coffee that you'd find at any gas station. The cannoli was overly sweet and the cookies we ordered felt stale. Interestingly, they charge more for sit down desserts vs. takeout. The servers were very sweet to share that we could order takeout and not have to pay the extra fee. Finally, not sure why, but there was not a lot of heating inside the restaurant. We ate with our jackets on, which was fine. But found that to be a little odd. Nobody seemed to know why they couldn't get the heat on. When it's below freezing, it would be nice to escape the chill. Overall, it was a nice stop. My kids loved it. But it was not without some quirks.

The gelato I noticed was very fresh and had a large selection of flavors. It seems like a neighborhood spot, inside was packed and outside people were sitting and enjoying their gelato. I'm staying in Baltimore for the week and after dinner I walked to Pitango Gelato for dessert. There are lots of fruit flavored but I was craving their hazelnut gelato made with imported Piedmontese hazelnuts. Heavenly! Those ladies scooped me up something that's free of artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. I mean, grass fed cows are providing the organic milk for this Baltimore staple. Jaydein's lovely personality infuses the whole place with his positive energy. He loves their cookies and gelato as much as I do and is still excited to suggest new flavours. Of course their Pignoli nut cookies are still my childhood favourite, but tonight we were wowed by the slim round Raisin Walnut Cookies located on the top shelf to the far right. I also love their Biscotti, my favourites being the pistachio and the one with dried cranberries. We ate a bunch in store to try them out and then bought another large box to go. We also got fresh made cannolis which were so good- the shell was fresh and crispy and the ricotta was so creamy- it was probably a little on the soft side and looked like mush but tasted delish- we also got a box of mixed cookies which I think is overpriced (30 dollars a pound) but they truly are fresh and delicious - I especially liked cannoli cookie and almond - ambience is basic but nostalgic and fun to enjoy- they also have gelato but we did not try- will come back!

What a delicious idea - several pastas on the menu for $15.00 and a glass of red or white wine for $7.00. We made a reservation for 4 of us at 5:30 PM to celebrate our double wedding anniversaries. We were warmly greeted by Amelia, and seated at our favorite table. The restaurant already had a lively vibe - everyone thoroughly enjoying themselves. The restaurant is elegant and very inviting. Eliza, our server, came over right away to get us started with drinks. She was very friendly and attentive to our every need. The service is always exemplary. We enjoyed four glasses of a very crisp Pinot Grigio and two glasses of a robust Montepulciano wine. They always start you off with freshly baked homemade breads and bread sticks. We began our culinary journey with a Charcuterie Board, which was beautifully plated with an assortment of Prosciutto, finocchiona, parmigiano, pecorino, fried artichokes, crostini, green olives, caperberries, marinated vegetables, and pepperoncino. It was so delicious and more than enough for the four of us. We had two entrees of the Creamy Carbonara alla Sotto Sopra - a spaghetti with smoked bacon, egg, cream, and parmesan, one entrée of Cacio e Pepe -spaghetti with a creamy sauce made with just Pecorino Romano cheese and black pepper, and one entrée of Alla Amatriciana - spaghetti with a rich sauce of pancetta, tomatoes, Pecorino Romano cheese, and black pepper, and a touch of heat from red pepper flakes. Each and every pasta dish was carefully prepared and presented and loaded with flavor. We all were in Italian heaven. Riccardo made the evening more fun as he was dressed as Uncle Sam and was going around spreading good cheer throughout the restaurant. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable way to spend our anniversaries.

Toppings in the bowl include mochi, mango jelly, and mango cubes. On top is some mochi, mango slices, and a scoop of passion fruit sorbet. There is mango sauce and condensed milk throughout the bowl. The staff spent a lot of effort to make the bowl pretty and did a nice job of mixing the ingredients so that you don't have toppings on top only. The shop seems cute and there seems like there would be more things available when the owner is in. They have lunch boxes that look good. They also have takoyaki on the menu but the machine is currently down. One thing that I didn't like is that the item was different from the menu description. I was expecting mango snow and mango ice cream or sorbet. It's not the end of the world but I picked this one in particular because it was supposed to be mango snow. While the bingsoo is large enough to share, I also feel it is priced a bit high for what it is. Might be because there aren't many other laces like this in the area but bingsoo is usually bigger or less pricey. Overall, a decent stop for dessert if you want something a little different. Street parking was not that hard to find when we went.
