    Vegetarian Pizza

We went here a few months ago. We loved Verde pizza so thought this outside venue was worth a try! It was during trivia so I would go back when they weren't having an event. But the pizza was very good. You pay for your pizza and pick it up at the counter. The music and surrounding outside area was nice. I can see this spot getting busy during the summer months. I want to come back and try the snow balls!

This place is so fun! It's an old garage space that they've turned into a beer garden and adult play area. The car bays have been transformed with bamboo, climbing vines, and kitsch, and they hold a ping pong table, pool table, and a sno ball stand. Outside is the bar and a food truck serving Verde pizza. They close down for the cold months, but are a fabulous way to spend an afternoon during the warmer ones.

The pizza here is top notch! The pizzas are cooked just right, come out to you nice and hot, service is great and fast! This is the perfect place to hang outside on a summer night!

We stopped by here with our dogs in tow as I had seen this place pop up on my social feeds a few times. I have been to the main Verde restaurant but this might be an outdoor offshoot of it? Not a 100% sure. It's all outdoor - You place your order and they bring it to your table. And it was so quick despite there being a constant line of people ordering. I got the Pistachio and Salsiccia pizza but yes I did sub the sausage for the veg alternative of mushrooms. I really enjoyed this pizza, and didn't miss the meat aspect at all. My bf got the Vegetable pizza but he opted to make it vegan by subbing in cashew cheese- I tried some of his and actually found it even slightly yummier than mine. Pizza and drinks will cost you though - I think in the end it was like 30 per person and this is with just a regular soda, not a drink or beer. But I anticipate this place will be constantly packed this summer. Especially as after pizza you can get Hawaiian shaved ice right there.

Great pizza in such a fun casual environment. It's right off key highway so plenty of parking and there are games which makes it an appealing spot for families with kids. I'd recommend visiting on a Tuesday to get the 2 pizzas/ 2 shaved ice deal. Service is standard as you order at the counter and they deliver to you. It's dog friendly as well and on a busy night expect to share a picnic table with others.

This is a cool spot to grab a pizza and beer outdoors! They really only offer beer and canned wine. They had one orange crush like seltzer but no true cocktails. The service was generally friendly. This is neopolitan style pizza so the crust on our pizza was slightly burned which mh friend disliked but I didn't mind. They had a yummy garlic dipping sauce for purchase which set the pizza off nicely. Going during HH gets you 20% off a pizza (pizzas run 20-25$ for a 9 inch pizza). A bit spendy but a cool ambiance!

This Verde pizza (known to pizza aficionados and Canton locals) pop-up right on Key Highway is truly a neighborhood gem! With spectacular views of the Baltimore harbor, particularly at sunset, and an outdoor covered lawn that has allll the vibes, this spot is great for folks of all ages! They feature several of the most popular Verde pizzas, a few appetizers, beers and some cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and.... Crushed Velvet snowcones! What's not to love about the combinations you can create with all that! The pizzas are not speedy since they have to be fired in their oven, but there's plenty to do while you wait, including a cornhole set off to the side. The folks running Key Neapolitan are lovely and I have enjoyed chatting with them. They are likely to stay open through October, possibly early November, and hopefully will be back next year!

Woodfired pizza made at a food truck! Always amazimg pizza and the staff are so friendly. They have their own pizza with checkerspot called pizza truck that is also delicious.

Some of the best pizza in Baltimore! We couldn't be happier the Key Neapolitan truck opened up in Riverside. All of the pizzas are amazing - some favorites are the pistachio pizza and the il demone. Sit under the tent and eat, play some pool, get a Checkerspot beer and then end the meal with a snowball from Crushed Velvet. This is an amazing place to hang out in the summer, and the staff is incredible!

So good that we had to buy another one! 20/10

Key Neapolitan keeps killing it! perfect crust, balanced toppings/sauce. Not saggy you need to try it! Best pizza in town! they are dog friendly nice ambiance Arrabbiata Pizza Pistachio and Salsiccia Pizza service

Such a cute place to visit while the weather is so nice out, located right on the side of key highway- there's beer, ice cones and other games to play! This was the perfect casual dinner spot

    The best pizza in Baltimore!!

We love this place! Pizza is amazing and the flavor combinations are delicious. Trivia, pool table, corn hole and ping pong. Lots of happy dogs and chill vibes. The view is also stunning. Crushed Velvet after makes the perfect Ending to a lovely summer night.

    Il demone
    Clarice H.

Okay. I ordered the il demone pizza- spicy soppressata, mozzarella, honey, chili oil. Visually it was stunning and I was excited, but I found the flavors a little too bold- too salty, too spicy, too sweet all at once. The toppings were generous and fresh but yeah just overwhelmed. Price point was a little high for my taste as well. This pie ended up being about 22 dollars! Lovely humans running the spot though, will come back to try the more "plain" pies.

Our server, Josie, went above and beyond to take care of us. She provided excellent recommendations and was super friendly and attentive! We ordered the Batata Harra, Saltat Marrakech, and the Stuffed Dates for apps. All of them were incredible, but the Saltat was so refreshing and the Dates truly stole the show. The creamy ricotta filling with red pepper sauce was to die for. For mains, we shared the Lasagna and did a half and half pizza of The Gabriel and the Toum Raider. The lasagna was super savory and very filling--perfect to share! I enjoyed both pizzas, but the Gabriel was my favorite. I loved the combo of the nutty pesto and spicy Calabrian chilis. Josie brought out a cupcake for dessert to celebrate my friend's birthday, and it was probably one of the best vegan treats I've ever had! Can't wait to come back next time I'm in town!

The atmosphere of the restaurant was very personal and quaint, there was a high chair available for our daughter to use. All the servers were incredibly friendly and helpful. For the food we tried the stuffed dates, miso mushroom bucatini and the toum raider pizza. The stuffed dates were recommended by our waitress and they were delicious. They were both sweet, savory and a little spicy. The walnuts that topped it were a nice touch to add texture to the already soft dates, I enjoyed it a lot. The miso mushroom bucatini was also a favorite of ours as it didn't taste vegan at all to us. It was creamy and the pasta was cooked well. My daughter enjoyed this a lot. The pizza wasn't my favorite but I'm also not a huge fan of vegan cheese so that is my fault but the miso mushroom bucatini was truly so delicious. Overall I really enjoyed the experience, the service was impeccable and I would definitely visit here again!

Pre order was easy, I did it all via my phone a couple of weeks in advance. Pickup was also super easy, I found parking right on the street, went in, and had my food all in my hands in less than ten minutes. The slider tray consisted of 10 Sliders. There were two each of Meatball Parm, French Onion Melt, Cheeseburger Cheesesteak, BBQ Jackfruit and Oyster Chick'n. All of them were well done, held up in transit and tasted good as leftovers. That being said, the BBQ Jackfruit were my favorite. If you ever have the chance to get your hands on her BBQ Jackfruit, definitely do it! The sliders came with three sides: a container of Bourbon Baked Beans, Traditional Mac Salad and Chips and Chili Queso These were also well done. Price wise, My Mamas Vegan seemed comparable to other vegan places in the area. I think the slider tray cost about 40 dollars and I, eating everything myself, had leftovers for days. I can't speak on the customer service because I didn't talk to anyone. I ordered at the kiosk and they called my number and that was it. I paid $19.45 for my meal. I order a side of falafels (3) and the street bowl with beef flank, tzatziki, and mild red pepper sauce. The falafels were way too crispy. I feel like compared to other falafels I've tried these were on the hard side. Thankfully I had some tzatziki sauce to dip them in, if I didn't, they would have been a little hard to eat. The flavor was okay but the texture was not appealing. I really wanted to get beef shawarma but they were out so I opted for the beef flank. I wish I would have just gotten chicken instead. The bowl came with rice and a lettuce salad that was underneath the beef. I'm not sure if the lettuce had arugula in it as well, but the lettuce gave sort of a bitter taste which I did not care for at all. Did not taste good so I would add a lot of tzatziki sauce to it to cut down on the bitter taste. The beef was okay, nothing to rave about. I was just very underwhelmed with my food. Not sure if I would give it a try again. If so, I would definitely get something else or build my own bowl maybe. Try it for yourself and see how you like it.

Slutty Vegan Baltimore, It's Worth the Hype!!…read more Took a trip to the Black Owned Slutty Vegan Baltimore for my Big Sis's birthday, she's been dying to try it and finally got to see what all the buzz is about! The location is everything! Right in downtown Baltimore's up and coming Peninsula area, directly across from the Sagamore Rye Distillery. It's a fresh, developing spot that's definitely on the rise. The exterior is sleek and minimal, but once you step inside, boom!!! It's loud, lively, and unapologetically bold. Think vibrant colors, massive wall graphics, and a staff that greets you with energy and personality. They literally call you out as you walk in and it's hilarious and welcoming. Special shoutout to Zaneka (hope I'm spelling that right!) she was amazing. Patient, fun, and super helpful with all our first-timer questions. We were the first ones at the door when they opened, so we had the place to ourselves for a bit! We wanted to try EVERYTHING, but settled on: - The infamous One Night Stand - The Slutty Chicken Caesar Wrap - Both with Slutty Fries - And of course, the Oreo Cookie Milkshake to top it off Everything was flavorful and fun, definitely a unique twist on plant-based comfort food. My only drawback on my One Night Stand was that the Baltimore locations menu indicates that they add in chili on the burger which is not indicated on the online versions of the menu. I'm not a spicy food eater and I THINK that's what put the spice in this burger, I'll have it removed when I come back, but overall everything was pretty good. We ate in so our fries were hot and extra crispy. The milkshake was on point as well. I tried the pomegranate slutty ORGANIC lemonade on the go out and I have no regrets, very robust in flavor and really good. I am definitely a fan. Will be back to try other items on the menu. It seems every few years a new vegan casual chain is attempted and they all disappear because frankly they're just not good enough and this is no exception. The fries are decent, though I'd prefer them a little crispier and more seasoned. The chicken head sandwich is barely better than a Boca patty, which is really saying something (negative). The temporary item The big meat was okay but there was nowhere enough of the pulled "meat" it wasn't even as thick as one side of the bun, never mind both. The quality of food for $20 per item is frankly outrageous. I want vegan restaurants to succeed but this isn't going to be the way to do it and there is 0 chance we'll be returning.

I visited Golden West Cafe on a Sunday afternoon with a moderately large group (7 people). We were originally hoping for a brunch reservation but could only snag a 3 PM slot -- a testament to how incredibly popular they are -- although we ended up being ready at 2 PM and called ahead to ask if they could seat us earlier. They, very graciously, were able to make space for us to come a tad earlier. The food was absolutely incredible -- it was some combination of American comfort and Mexican / Latin American, with classic Mexican items like huevos ranchos, fish tacos, and enchiladas right next to traditional American brunch selections like chicken and waffles, hot cakes, and so forth. Their menu is also remarkably vegetarian / vegan-friendly, and it features their own house-made vegan chicken! We decided to split a few items, including the zucchini brie hot cakes, fish tacos, and vegan hot honey chicken and waffles. All three were outstanding, but my favorite had to be the zucchini brie hot cakes. The cakes were remarkably soft and fluffy, and I loved the bit of sweetness from the zucchini (and maple syrup, of course), and the extra hit of rich creaminess and savoriness from the brie. It was the perfect sweet and savory combo, and it was easily one of the biggest surprises of the meal. The rest of the items were also delicious, although not quite as wowing. The fish tacos were well-fried and flavorful, and I was quite impressed by how crispy and thin their accompanying fries were. I really enjoyed the flavor of the hot honey vegan chicken and waffles, but I was, admittedly, a little bit thrown off by the texture of both. It's very possible that the waffle had just gotten a bit soggy because I ate this dish last and it wasn't quite at its peak freshness. Either way, I really enjoyed my time here, and it's 100% worth I try. I can't wait to make my way back to Hampden to sample the rest of their menu!

Golden West Cafe…read more First visit to Hampden and Golden West Cafe -- and it definitely lived up to the hype. Drinks: Baltimore Vice -- strawberry-forward with a Don Q rum float, coconut foam, and freeze-dried strawberries. Light, refreshing, and very easy to drink. Piñata Riot -- a tequila twist on a jungle bird. Slightly bitter, tropical, and well-balanced. Both cocktails were solid and worth ordering again. Food: Green Chili Burger -- while it didn't quite hit true Albuquerque green chile standards, it was still flavorful and satisfying. A strong menu option. Zucchini Brie Pancake -- the standout dish. Unexpectedly balanced between sweet and savory, rich without being too heavy, and something I'd absolutely reorder. Overall: Great first impression. The menu has a lot of variety, the cocktails are creative and well-executed, and it feels like one of those places you could keep coming back to and try something new every time. Would I go back?
