We love Tiny's- an essential Columbia experience that's been around for generations. The owner is kind and contributes to the community in a variety of ways, so you can feel good about keeping your dollars local. They serve an extensive selection of local and German beers. The newly renovated front bar area is very nice too! The exposed brick and the wood bar keep the vibes cozy and inviting. The back bar area has plenty of room for dining and socializing. Wait staff are friendly and helpful and have gone out of their way to accommodate my kids and their tastes. We have been to several community events here. They offer traditional bar fare and appetizers, but in the past several years, they have expanded the German food menu. You really can't go wrong with any of it! On Wednesdays, Tiny's offers soup flights and all of the choices are excellent. read more

It's been awhile since we have eaten at Tiny's in Columbia Il. Boy has it changed!! The place has been totally remodeled!!! It looks like a German Brewhaus and even sells Authentic German Food!!!! The service was top Notch!!! Our drinks were perfect!! And hit the spot We decided to try the Wednesday Special of Soup Flights!!! You get to pick 3 Soups (out of 6) so we decided to try all 6!!! Mushroom Potato Chili Chicken n Dumplings Beer Cheese French Onion All were yummy. The French Onion was a bit too peppery for me but really enjoyed getting to try them! Comes with a Warm Hoagie and butter!!! The Guinness Fried Mushrooms were so good and highly recommend!!!! We will return to try some yummy German Food!!!! read more

The food was so good! Happened to be in Columbia IL and we stopped in for lunch. Can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu.

All we had was the Loaded Skins to share. They were okay, but not wonderful. I appreciate that they serve Strongbow Cider, as it's one of the better big name brand name ciders. Service also, was okay. Bar-like atmosphere, loud.... Need to come back and try their burgers. I hear those are great. read more

Eat here a year ago and had a good sauerbraten. Came back with a group of 18 and did have a reservation. They had a long table set so we know they were expecting our group. They failed to have enough wait staff and so the service was very slow. I felt sorry for our single waiter. Four of us had to sit away from the rest of the group and we were served 1/2 hour before the rest, very embarrassing. The sauerbraten was NOT sauerbraten, it was roast beef with brown gravy. Not a hint sauer about it. I'm sure our group will probably won't eat there again. read more

I would give this place a 3.5 stars if I could. It's a seat yourself type of place. Very casual bar and grill serving German food. We started with appetizers of pretzel with cheese sauce, cheese sticks and fried mushrooms. The appetizers were great. The pretzel was fresh soft and warm. And the cheese sauce delicious. The fried mushrooms were also really good. For dinner I had the schnitzel which was good but I needed to add a bit of salt to it. The potato pancake side was great and came with a small applesauce. The spaetzle was flavorless. It needed some onions and cheese mixed with it. 2 people at the table got the sauerbraten and neither were impressed- both said it wasn't a typical sauerbraten just a cut of beef with brown gravy. Another person liked their chicken club sandwich. The beer choices were excellent. And our server was excellent - she was really nice. read more

Stopped in for happy hour and enjoyed friendly service and casual setting with many others doing the same. Lots of bar space but plenty of tables as well. Bar offers typical beer, wine , mixed drinks fare. Enjoyed some potato skins with our cider. Would like to try a burger which locals say is the best. Would say it seems like more of an adult hangout, but would have to try evening or lunch time . Had a happy happy hour there! read more

Jagerschnitzel anyone... This place is not the best looking inside but we all enjoyed the food. There is parking around back, across the street or even on the street. Inside is a bar like atmosphere. The service was fine. They were training someone new so I totally understand. Food: most people ordered the cod and enjoyed it. worst service ever... took 45 min to get waitress to come to table then she only took my husband's order I had to stop her to give her mine.. food came 1 hour later! never got drinks ..got my own water from pitcher on bar where some plastic cups had been left...food came out with burned sausages and uncooked greasy potatoes pancakes ...place is too pricey for this ... its just a bar and grill where only locals get service and they only order burger and fries! ..never go again read more

The girl friend and I stopped in Tiny's Friday 6/28/24 for lunch as soon as we walked in the place I was impressed with the cleanliness of the place. I order the Jager schnitzel and it was delicious and a huge portion and hot off the stove. The price was not out of line for the quality of the meal. We will be back soon read more

We were only here for drinks, having just had a meal next door. The bartender was friendly & energetic. She had a heavy hand, which is appreciated. Shots were served in condiment cups, odd but ok. It's not a great layout inside but the real issue was what I will generously call the restroom. I've been in more sanitary outhouses in the National Parks during a government shutdown. The stench and land of ability to wash one's hands led us to a gas station. Terrifying to think of consuming food here. read more

I could not have asked for a better time, great service (Kyle) great bar food we had the beer battered scrooms with a burger and washed down with chilly draft Stag beer. Oh, boy, I'm ready to go back today! The crowd was mixed with younger and older folks, they have a super outside patio, real loud rowdy bar side and a more quiet restaurant side. I am inviting all my friends to make the short drive from the St. Louis area and enjoy the experience Tiny's Pub will provide in a small town setting. The patio seating sells this place for us. The place has been this way for years with no big investment recently but still you can't find a big patio area off the street like this place. I can't think of anywhere like it in the south metro area. But if it's too hot to be outside just go to the original little bar inside or the big new inside bar next to it. The prices are a bit too high for sandwiches. After all this is NOT Soulard or Chesterfield. The draft beer is priced right but the wine at $4.50 a glass is a small glass. Don't ever expect huge crowds at lunch or any time except if a wedding party comes in which can happen at any time on a Saturday. 2 thumbs up for Tiny's but some may see this as a dirty bar and grill. Don't these people ever clean the doors in this place. Whew! Gross! Still.... been comin' here for years and the staff is very friendly and fast though they can be understaffed. The theme is Malibu California on the inside if you notice the salamander ironwork sculptures and tables. I been there and it IS similar. On the whole with flies and cigarette butts laying around it remains a good place to go and the bar food is above average. The chicken wrap is very good. Im a Columbia'n.... and I must say Tiny's has great drinks, and the food is good..Not great, but good... If you're in the mood for typical bar food, then this is your place..The patio outside is a great way to waste away on a sunny day and people watch down Main St. They do have good drink specials every now and then, and I believe on Wednesday is $1 Landsharks...hellllsssssss ya! They do have pool tables too in the back if you're a pool player... There are two bars in this establishment and the back room is more for dining. Its nothing above average, but definitely worth the stop for a beer, or two. read more

Haven't been here in about 3-4 years due to poor service and food quality. Thought we would give them another try. Well some things never change unfortunately. We ordered a couple of burgers, wings and mushrooms. The mushrooms were burnt, wings bloody and undercooked. The burgers were ordered "medium well". They came back virtually bloody! It's a bummer because this small town needs more choices for good food......this place is not it. It will be another 3-4 years before we will try again! read more

Had cod fish on Friday and was it good! Good taste and real cod pieces; not the square patties you get at some places. Nice size portion as well. Love their slaw and my son had the chicken wrap which to my surprise was excellent. Burgers were good too. Good job, cook. Service was well received too.
