I have been doing a staycation this week and today was Germany! It was perfect from start to finish. I don't think I've ever said that abt. a dining out experience b/4. I will def. be returning! Started off w/ pretzel bites and cheese sauce. Nice and diff from the usual pretzel bites. Ordered the Wiener schnitzel sandwich and a hamburger but can't remember the name but it had beer battered onion rings on top. Everything is homemade, including the pickles! I'm not a drinker but they have enuf taps to hold up to 50 diff beers. Some were empty but still prolly over at least 40 to choose from. Service was impeccable and prompt. The only downside is their hours are vry limited during the week.

The atmosphere was a country cottage meets sports pub. The music was loud enough to have a conversation and hear the person across the table; it was more of a background noise. The service was excellent and exceptional, with knowledge of the 50 beers on tap. In food, I had the Haus Hamburger with potato cakes. The potato cakes were extremely great, the best I have ever had. They came with a side of apple sauce and sour cream. My wife had a salad and salmon with house bacon salad dressing that was absolutely delish. Oh my, it was a whole piece of salmon. I can't wait to get back to try another flight of beers.

    Bar. Great beer selection

Just a quick update of another great experience! I returned with my trivia group last night. Gotta love free trivia! I recommend getting here at 6:00 to get a table and order something to eat prior to the start of trivia. Last night I had the fish and chips and that is why I am updating. I love a good fish and chips and these did not disappoint! Fish was thick and flaky and the fries are steak fries that are crispy and plentiful! I tried the curry ketchup because it sounded interesting and I could have consumed an entire bottle of it. I don't want regular ketchup now.

OSP Tap Haus is a regular hangout for a friend of mine. Every time I've accompanied them, I've always been able to snag a seat at the bar. There are several tv's to catch whatever game may be playing. The selection of beers rotate and there is always something new to try. The Tap Haus also serves food. The menu is eclectic comfort bar food. They have the trusty go-to items such as wings and pretzel bites. Sandwiches, burgers, and salads appeals to any appetite. While the food is good, and I've tried several things there weren't any stand outs for me. My favorite thing on the menu is the curry ketchup served with the fries. I always order extra, it's so good! The staff is friendly and the service is quick!

Love this place! Lots of light and lots of great beer! Can also sit on the patio if you want to catch a few rays.

While it was festive, the Christmas décor wasn't as extensive as I expected for a pop-up, and the drink menu didn't feel much different from their regular offerings. The food was decent. The Brussels sprouts were a standout, along with the garlic aioli fries. The French dip, however, was disappointing and lacked flavor. Service was excellent, and the bartenders were both friendly and attentive. Drinks and food were quite expensive, but we appreciated receiving a complimentary dessert for the birthday. Overall, it was a nice experience with some highlights, though not something I'd go out of my way for.

You'd think the patio might feel lacking of that since it's essentially in the middle of a parking lot, but it doesn't at all. It's fenced in and surprisingly charming. Going for drinks and a few apps is my favorite move (the goat cheese especially is a must). Great wines and cocktails. The food overall is decent, but the portion sizes are just right. The owner decorates the space so adorably and magically for the holidays, so be sure to visit then for the full festive experience. Petition to remove that TMobile next door and turn it into a cute little ice cream shop to create the perfect night. Wouldn't that be great!?

Beer selections were very limited unless all you wanted were AB products. I asked for various common decent whiskeys, scotch and popular craft beers and struck out on all. Finally asked for captain and coke and told the soda system was broken. This is I got nice ice water. Ordered garlic parm pretzel bites. They dumped so much table salt on them that they were white color. We even tried to wipe them off and it was impossible to eat. We then tried party ryes. They must have been out of party rye because we got two pieces of marble rye cut in 1/4 with the topping on them. Tasted good but don't say on your menu that it's on party rye bread. My recommendation is fire the kitchen manager and invest a few bucks on a decent liquor selection. All in all the quality is that of a lower level south city tavern struggling to keep the doors open rather than an Oakville " pub".

This has been our mystery, last night, we finally solved the mystery and found our way inside Crossroads. Shockingly enough, the little mystery wedge bar, was incredibly awesome. It might even surpass Shottzie's as my favorite South County Hang...well, if the pizza compares which I am sure it does not. The bar is really nice. Hardwood floors with matching wooden tables and wide bar stools with foot rests. The beers are cheap (only $2.75 for a Bud Light) and the wait staff is friendly and funny. They are also way on top of the ball and ready to serve you. The place has a very Cheers type feel to it. It's clearly a neighborhood bar and the people hanging out there are clearly regulars. Normally, this bothers me because I am not a regular and I get the stare down like I don't belong. That did not happen in this bar, everyone was nice and accepting. Who does not love that in a neighborhood bar? There is also a nice little patio that's fenced in from the hazards of Lindbergh Blvd (bonus star for that) and they have all the great little arcade games you could want. (some random bean bag throwing game, golf pro, etc.) Massive bonus stars for not being that smoky, having a pool table, having a stuff Spuds MacKenzie doll on the bar, and the pull tab clock on the wall. FANTASTIC.

While the exterior of the building may look a little worn, the interior was recently renovated and updated. They even had a roomba to sweep the floor! How high tech. The flow of the bar was open and airy with lots of places to sit and enjoy a cold one on a nice warm day. Outside of the Fountain Inn, there's tons of seating. It was easy to keep your distance. There was also a stage set up with a man in overalls playing a little too much Johnny Cash. But I didn't care. It was live music and Nathan kept the $2 Stag beers coming.
