This is the third project Tiny has completed for me. The first 2 projects were 8 years ago and they turned out fantastic, so when my contractor suggested another granite contractor, I overrode the decision and returned to Tiny's granite works He sent me to several reputable granite distributors and we shopped them all! Because of the cost and impact to our kitchen, we took our time shopping. Definitely remember to bring a sample of your cabinets! In the end, we needed an entire sLab for my kitchen island (roughly 7'x8') and a second slab for the side countertops. In addition, Tiny offered to give me a granite remnant, but I had to pay for fabrication. I couldn't say no to that, so we added a beautiful counter top to my basement mini kitchen. I was thrilled with the outcome - it took them an entire day to deliver, install and mount the stovetop and sinks and that seemed reasonable. The guys that came along were professional and respectable. This was especially important to me since I just had wood floors installed and they had to be extra careful because this was all installed the day after the big snowstorm the week of thanksgiving (remember 14 inches of snow). Tiny Granite = Huge Headache We agreed to use Tiny's service because they initially very responsive to our questions and requests. When we asked for a quote to re-install 3cm granite countertops we were given a boilerplate "quote" that basically said we'd be charged $150 per hour of work STARTING from when they leave their shop. So if there's an accident on I70, you'd be paying them to sit in Denver traffic. Weird, annoying, and unusual, but not a dealbreaker, so we agreed and set up a time for the install. The exact date and time were agreed upon (this is important). Where everything fell apart was when we sent an email asking if they would be able to give us a rough estimate for the job. We had gotten a few quotes (mostly by price/square foot) and wanted an estimated number to use to compare the two prices. Tiny's responded with again a very generic email which I will copy in its entirety below (again, this is important): "Time for the Install all Depends on How Well the Cabinets Were Installed (i.e.: Level & Squared etc..) and the Condition of the Stone, if There are No Complications It Should Take a Few Hours. As for the Time Starting When My Crew Leave the Shop, Is Just Company Policy." So, they completely ignored the actual estimate request and gave no more information on their policy for being paid to sit in traffic. Again, weird, annoying, and unusual, but not a dealbreaker. Two days later, I'm home, taking a full day off of work because it's required the client be present and since no real time frame of work was given there's no way to schedule a half-day, and it's a complete NO CALL NO SHOW. So I call, leave a VM requesting an immediate call back. 20 min go by and then I start blowing up their phone. It takes almost 10 consecutive phone calls for someone to answer, and then I tell them my name and address and how we expected work to start between 8-9am. Then the woman tells me that they TOOK US OFF THE SCHEDULE because we "didn't respond to their email." This claim is outrageous and ridiculous for two main reasons: 1: Go ahead, take a second to re-read the above email in its entirety. Literally NO WHERE does it say that it needs to be responded to. It's not expressed, implied, or suggested in any way shape or form. And yet, they cancel our appointment without notice because we didn't respond. 2: A professional business has the responsibility to contact or notify their client if they either want to confirm an appointment OR if there has been any change to the planned appointment (i.e. rescheduled or cancelled). To expect that that we the client be constantly calling or emailing them asking if they are still going to honor our agreed upon appointment time is unheard of. You don't call your doctor to make sure they didn't cancel your appointment, they always call YOU to confirm. So basically, we agree on the scope of work, we agree on the payment structure, we agree on the exact time and date, but they still cancelled our appointment without notice and refused to re-schedule because I wasn't apologetic enough for their mistake. They can respond to this with whatever about my supposed "rudeness", but I record all of my calls, and I never once did anything other than be upset at the beginning of the call. I was upset, not ignorant, crass, or anything else unpleasant. And REGARDLESS of what happened on the call, they showed a true lack of professional integrity by cancelling on their client without notice. So go with Tiny's if you want: -Vague pricing, with quotes ranging from "huh" to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -To pay for a crew to be in traffic, get coffee, or do anything else during their drive to your site at the price of $150/hr. -Have your appointment be cancelled without any notification the day before it's scheduled because it's beyond their professional scope to write a two sentence email asking for confirmation. read more

When we had the vision to replace our gas fireplace and remodel the surrounding wall with stacked stone and a quartz mantel and fireplace, we knew we wanted a single contractor for the job. Unfortunately, after several interviews, we could not find one who could do the entire project until a salesperson at a tile company gave us Tiny Salazar's name. When he came out to do give us a bid, we could tell he was the right fit for us. He assisted in the custom plan, and we soon began work. First of all, the old fireplace was removed and the new one installed. That is when we ran into a several month delay waiting for materials the supplier had said were in stock, but in reality had to be ordered. Upon finally receiving them, Tiny's company, Granite Works, began the installation of the stone wall and mantel. When completed, the measurements of the mantel and hearth were incorrect due to an error on the part of one of his assistants. We mentioned it to Tiny in an email thinking we would just have to live with it. To our amazement, he came out to our house to see the problem and offered to redo the entire quartz mantel and hearth at no cost to us. Who has that kind of integrity these days? Despite a rather lengthy delay due to a medical emergency, Tiny followed through with his promise. We are now enjoying our beautifully crafted custom fireplace and stone wall, thanks to Tiny Salazar, a man and artisan who promises and delivers quality work. read more

I can't say enough about how wonderful it was to work with Christine at Colorado Kitchen Designs and Tiny at Tiny's Granite Works. Colorado Kitchen Designs were responsible for the design and Tiny's Granite Works did the installation. We are a retired couple who purchased a condo in Denver to be closer to our grandchildren. We live in Chicago and were not in Denver while the work was being completed. We have heard many stories about shoddy construction, missed target dates, lack of communication, and cost overruns with the homeowners saying "never again". Our experience was just the opposite. We received frequent updates and calls where small construction options were available and photos as construction progressed. Both Christine and Tiny were easy to work with and always available when we called. The crews that completed the work left the premises spotless. There were two items that stand out the most with us. While on vacation in AZ we found a porcelain kitchen counter product which is new to the market. Our search to find the product in CO proved to be negative. We were planning to ship the product in from CA until Christine sent us a photo of the same product that she happened to see in Denver while helping another customer. It certainly made us feel like we were her most important customer. The second item was the grout for the backsplash was not what we had chosen and a couple of the small glass tiles had tiny cracks. We called to ask about this and the next day two of Tiny's workers rang our bell and worked all day to make sure we were satisfied. There were no question asked or extra invoices I think both these issues speak well of who we were fortunate enough find and hire to perform the work on the kitchen. We hired Tiny's Granite Works to reinstall a undermount sink that had completely gave way and fell into the cabinet below. The silicone and epoxy failed and it slipped out of the clips. Unbelievable! We were told we needed someone who had experience installing sinks in granite countertops. I googled "sink install granite countertops" and came across two companies and decided to call Tiny's based on the reviews. I was not disappointed! From the moment I called to when the job was done, I experienced great customer service and professionalism. Tiny gave me a couple of options to address our unique situation. I decided to go with the option of using the current sink that they would bend back straight and reinstall. Tiny made sure expectations were realistic and didn't overpromise. However, when the job was done it was like the sink never fell! It looked brand new! The final price came way under the initial estimate! The kitchen was spotless! We got a new slide-in range and needed the counter to be cut back by an inch. Panic! Who do we call? Arvada Appliance recommended Tiny and we are so glad they did. They did a great job. Everything was smoothed and edges rounded...they were even able to glue in a small piece to cover a cut out dog ear on the other side. The range fits perfectly. We could not be more pleased. Nice guys, covered the steps and floor and were perfectionists. We highly recommend these guys. We are hoping to use them for a bath remodel. read more
