Buerger Brothers Construction built an addition to our home, which included a 700+ square foot garage, using concrete poured on Piers and a floor poured as a "Slab on void" due to bad soils report. They also built a new deck, and managed front yard landscaping. They are an honest, ethical, professional, and an excellent company to do business with. We started planning in May of 2019, with construction from June through October of 2020, we found ways to work during the early days of the Covid pandemic. Communicating with Christian was a breeze, he was easy to talk to, responsive, professional and truly cares about what you are conveying. Because I am a retired engineer I had to stick my nose into everything... From the beginning he brought in professionals from the Architect, Structural Engineers to the finishing Carpenter and Painter, each step was amazing and all within budget. The cadre of subcontractors hired by Burger Brothers had to meet a high standard of professionalism and produce a high quality product, they were all wonderful to work with. Of note, was the daily cleanup, the care taken and the security to the existing area, especially working in the midst of a pandemic! Inconvenience was kept to a minimum and in the end we can actually say the complete project went quite smoothly and was a great experience. Would I hire them to do it again? Absolutely "In a heartbeat, no doubt about it!" I just cannot brag enough about this company and I promise you will not regret your decision to hire Christian and his crew! I could go on and on, but you get the gist.... if you want honesty and professionalism, these are your guys! I contracted with what I thought was Jack Wilson's company, but it had recently been purchased by Andrew Fineman. Andrew was inexperienced and still learning how to manage the business, which caused major problems throughout the project. When I added back components to my scope, instead of honoring a previous quote, Andrew changed how he prepared the estimate and added over $1,000 in additional charges. While a subcontractor did the work, Andrew's mismanagement led to faulty wiring, holes in doors, and cracked tiles - issues he indicated would be addressed but never were. Most seriously, he refused payment I sent in good faith and filed a mechanic's lien on the property. He also still misrepresents the company online as family-owned business with decades of experience, which reflects the previous owner, not him. I strongly recommend avoiding this business.

What was once an uncomfortable, underutilized area is now a beautiful basement with a dedicated office, a workout space, and a much better-sized, well-organized utility room. In addition, they replaced all of our carpet with hardwood floors throughout the main level, and the results are amazing. The craftsmanship and finish quality exceeded our expectations -- the house feels completely elevated and refreshed. Noam was exceptional throughout the entire process. Then we decided to get a digital rendering of the porch which came out great, but came with a price of over $1k in addition to the initial Estimate which was over 40k. Some time went by and we heard very minimal about the project between March and August. I decided to do a review on yelp to motivate the company to do something with our project. I received a phone call from the PM about how this affects their business. I agreed that I would remove that review and add a review at the end. Our understanding was that there would be quality control and communication weekly along the way however; this was not the case. There were days where the painter and foundation person came when they said they would and other times they didn't. A couple of times I would go out and look and tell the construction worker that the quality was not acceptable. This occurred on more than one occasion. I called the PM to tell him that this was the problem. It got fixed and we ended up with a beautiful porch in Mid November with a total of $45k spent. If you have the time and money to spend to guide this project the exact way that you want then yes, otherwise; I would recommend a different company.

He said he would talk to his rep from the cabinet company and let us know our options. We waited several months and tried to contact Mark to follow-up. He never called us back. He finally answered when my husband called and said he had not talked to the cabinet company yet. At this point we had waited five months. Why come to our house to see the problem, get our hopes up and leave us waiting? I would prefer a direct response if he was too busy or did not want to do the job so we could move on. I finally sent an email directly to the cabinet company. They honored their warranty and sent us new cabinet fronts. It was pretty simple!! I called Mark again to let him know I had success with the cabinet company and to see if he would like to do the install. Still no call back... It's very confusing since Alpha Cabinetry did ALL the cabinets in our 6,600 square foot home. Are they worried about the integrity of the product they supplied or just terrible at communication and time management? If I ran my business like this, I'd be out of business!!
