Dee , always did my nails . gel manicure , never really painted the sides of my nails, the gel always lifted before my next appointment. She has a no personality. She seems to think she's the best.. I went here on my birthday for a pedicure as a treat an added on a 10 minute massage from Isabell. I don't know why this place has poor ratings, I found everybody there to be extremely friendly, Isabella put me at ease, and was so sweet and kind and nice to chat with. I encountered an unpleasant experience during my time here. The male owner and the manager named Jackie were discourteous and unprofessional. The entire time I was there I heard them talking bad about other customers. Their staff demonstrated a lack of proficiency to attention and detail (perhaps because they are commission based). The conduct and attitude displayed by the owner and general manager leave much to be desired. WORST manicure, and WORST "spa" experience I've ever had in my life, truly. The business even tried to charge multiple of my credit cards multiple times. I have NEVER in my life left a negative review, but I need to warn people before coming here. I am attaching photos to show this botched excuse for a manicure. I did not know that a dip powder wit tip manicure could look so horrible. Every nail is a different length, with the left index finger being the tiniest nub and looking nothing like the others. The layers are so thick that I look like a tree frog, as the manicurist, Sarah, did not take the time to file down the top of the nails. Now, for this horrifying experience. Sarah seemed perfectly nice, until she suddenly disappeared. A client she must have recognized came in while she was but halfway through my nails, and she made a big point of not letting anyone else assist the customer. She quickly "filed" my nails with so much haste and force that it actually hurt my fingers. Then, without saying a word, she got up and walked away. I sat there for 10 minutes waiting for her to come back when finally the owner came over and wiped my nails off with a paper towel and said I was finished. I showed him the length differences and horrible appearance of my manicure, and his response was to "fix" it by quickly giving a half effort attempt at the other nails just as short as the nub. Then walked away before I could tell him it still looked awful. And I never saw Sarah's face after that. THEN, to make matters worse, while paying the owner tried to scam me into paying more than necessary. He swiped three different credit cards of mine and said that for ALL of them my "chip wasn't working". He asked me to go to the bank and take out a CASH ADVANCE on my credit card instead. After asking him to swipe his card to see if it was the machine having issues, it magically worked and then he could successfully charge my card..... Later, all of my credit cards contacted me about fraudulent repeat charges being attempted by the business. Overall, this was by far and beyond the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon, and at any business in general. My manicure is so awful that I now need to go to another place and pay more money to have it fixed. Save yourself the time, money, and stress, and NEVER set foot in this sad excuse for a spa. read more

Went here for the first time with my friend. Overall it was okay. The uv didn't burn my cuticles like other places, but when she pushed them back it hurt really bad My only complaints are that she left dried up polish on my fingertip and my thumb looks a little weird, if I can figure out how to add pictures my nails are the white gel ones. read more

I came to the salon for the first time as it always seems to be packed, which usually means great work... well I was wrong. I was able to get right in for a pedicure that was interrupted because my technician repeatedly got up to apologize to another client saying she "wished she could service her but i was in the chair"... which made it very uncomfortable to say the least. That was followed by the worst pedicure of my life that chipped by the time I made it home. I was relieved to see the amount of colors they had for a Dip manicure which did come out very nice. When I went to pay I waited at the front desk for about 15 minutes and was ignored until they finally allowed me to pay for the mediocre service I received. Unless you're a regular (for whatever reason you would be) I'd avoid this place and visit different salons that appreciate your business in the area. read more

Let me preface by saying I have NEVER complained to a manager/business owner/waiter/waitress/retail staff ever!!!! I know what it's like to deal with the over privileged, difficult customers that doesn't take into consideration that people serving them are human being too. I have always had great experiences at this salon before. A few times I have been cut, and left with several bleeding nails, but no big deal. My cuticles are pretty crummy and I get cut all the time working in a veterinary office. Today I go in without an appointment and had to wait while (which is my own fault! I should've made an appointment!) Then I was put in a nail station spot and waited and waited. In the past they would have at least quick started soaking my nails in acetone to get the gel manicure off. One of the nail techs had to alert someone several times to let them know that I was waiting. So finally a nail tech comes over and asks if I already have gels on. I told her I do. She gets very annoyed and said that I should've said something sooner. So instead of soaking them in acetone she goes ahead and just rips the gel polish off! It was painful and I even said to her "isn't it bad for your nails to just peel off the polish. Doesn't it take some of the natural nail off with it?" And she just mumbled something and kept going. My nails felt thinner and hurt when she finished. When she cut my cuticles she made three of my nails bleed and she said it was my fault because I have difficult nails. She was very rude about me sticking my hand in the UV light. She was very sloppy with the polish. There is color on my skin and she missed a good portion of my pinky nail as well. She randomly left and did not even finish the manicure. She had someone else step in and finish it. I spoke to the owner while I paid and I told him " I have always been happy coming here before but this time I was not very happy with my service." I went over what happened and he just said "if your nail polish starts to lift within the next couple of days you can come back and we will fix it" That was when I decided I was never coming back. Update a week later: Within 5 days, 2 nails chipped. These are GEL nails. read more

I have been going to Tip and Toe since they opened and love both the salon and employees ! I always leave feeling great because during my pedi and mani , we all chat and laugh - positive vibes ! I think all the employees are good, but my go to is Dee ! Dee is not only an amazing manicurist, but she is also professional and has a great sense of humor! I wouldn't go anyplace else ! Thought they were a little unprofessional he didn't even take my old polish off he decided he was just gonna file it off cut my finger with the file and I felt like he rushed me out the door I was quoted one price and I was given a different one at the end and therefore I'm parting company and I'm not going there ever again totally ridiculous besides speaking to each other in their own language which is fine when you're by themselves but when there's other people around it's not right people think you're talking about them but for me I could've taken my polish off and Beyond dissapointed is a imderstatement he's a sloppy job taking it off I still can see it under my gel and even get it all off what's the change tan because Jen was not like that at all. read more

This was literally the best, longest lasting manicure I have ever gotten! I don't know what they use, but it's amazing. It's been 5 days and I'm only just now starting to see chipping. Not to mention it was painted and shaped flawlessly. The pedicure was pretty good too. They really take the time to exfoliate and massage your feet. Everything is extremely clean and they open up sterile, plastic-wrapped utensils right in front of you. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and if they know the wait is going to be an hour they don't lie and tell you 10 min. My manicure and pedicure was $35 together, but I would have happily paid more for such extraordinary service. The ONE suggestion I have is getting new dryers. I selected T&T because it is the newest of the nearby nail salons, and I postulated that it would also be the most sanitary. Marjorie D's dreadful experience, which accounts for 25% of the current reviews, would have given me pause. When I was there, the salon was clean and the staff was helpful. The place was buzzing with activity, and almost all of the chairs were occupied by clients. Accordingly, I was thankful that my wait was brief. I was pleased with the entire pedicure process, from soaking to scrubbing to gel polishing. Notably, during my 40 minute pedi, I saw the staff clean the other stations, with the foot-baths running through 15-20 minute cleaning cycles with bleach and detergent. read more

I really like Tip 'N' Toe and while I don't live in the area anymore, when I visit and my sister and I want to go for mani-pedis, this is pretty much our go-to spot. This is a very, very busy salon! There are tons of workers and they're usually all working with clients when I go. It's a good idea to make an appointment. I usually go with a pedicure and a gel manicure. I've found that they look great when I leave and last a really long time. Also, despite the busy atmosphere at Tip 'N' Toe, the services are provided at a reasonable and relaxing pace. The other thing I really enjoy about this nail salon is that the workers are all so welcoming and have such a great attitude. They all seem to really like working with one another and are always joking with one another and their familiar clients. Lots of laughter and fun here! Overall, this is a hidden gem in the Southampton area. It looks like a run-of-mill nail salon inside, but they offer a nail salon experience that's a cut above the rest! read more

I have been a customer at Tip and Toe since they opened up. I have always been thrilled with my nails and waxing. The establishment is always clean which is very important to me. Eric and Dee are the best although all the people there are pleasant and anxious to please!!! Since I been using Tip and Toe my nails have always looked great! I get great compliments on the variety of nail colors and combinations I get. Many of my relatives are now using Tip and Toe based on my recommendation. Reasonably priced and open 6 days a week including Sunday. By the way.... the foot and hand massage are well worth the visit!!!! I have been going here for over 2 years and this was not the first time I was unhappy, but I made allowances for small things. Store has a very poor selection of nail polish colors and never restocks them. When I questioned any this to management I could here laughs and slurs behind my back that left me feeling very uncomfortable to the point of me walking out and will never return. Very disappointed in Tip n Toe. I am local to the area and have been here before and never had a bad experience -until Sunday. I am especially disheartened because Tip n Toe is down the street from me and I have always had decent service there. Maybe it was an off day for them? I made a reservation for three pedicures. We arrived 5 minutes early, picked out our color and were seated in the pedi chairs by 2:05pm. And then.... we waited. And waited. And waited. One person in our group had someone come over and start her toes. The other two of us just sat there, feet in the water. We mentioned the water was not warm - no adjustment made. So we are sitting with our feet in cool water... just sitting.... and waiting. So we waited some more. And some more. And some more. Finally, at 2:30pm someone came and started my other friend's toes. I was still sitting. Nobody came over and said anything or apologized. Meanwhile, the first friend was now basically done, since it was a super fast pedicure. No one asked what kind we wanted, they just gave the basic. Finally a girl came over for me. No apologies. I mentioned AGAIN the water was cool. She added some warm water. No apologies. She starts my first foot.... and then says "I'll be right back" and leaves. Comes back a few minutes later (again, no apology) and starts working. Very half hearted pedicure - not relaxing or rejuvenating. Just someone basically washing my feet and polishing my toes. Finished up (in about 20 mins, start to finish) and went to sit under the dryer. My friends confirmed the pedicure was not great the service wasn't anything special. Paid my $25 and a $2 tip to the woman and left with wet toes, just because we didn't want to sit anymore. I hope this was just a "one off" experience. I don't want to write off Tip n Toe but I certainly am not rushing back. read more

Came here on Friday, November 28th for a pedicure and gel manicure. Started feeling pain in my the day after the pedicure. Had to go to the podiatrist twice to get part of TWO nails removed, oral antibiotics, and an antibiotic soak (totaling $100 in co-pays and antibiotics). Podiatrist stated that nails and cuticles were cut incorrectly and tubs were not sanitized properly. Contacted Tip N Toe owner and suggested I come back to the salon for a re-do of the pedicure and said she'd reimburse me by mailing me back payment. Why would I come back to this salon? I have yet to receive reimbursement and now, the owner has gotten her insurance involved in the process. My next steps are to contact the Health Department and file a formal complaint. So far, I have told multiple friends about this terrible salon and they have all canceled their appointments. Best of luck if you decide to venture here! read more

Their foot baths and tools are NOT sanitized properly! I got my pedicure in the beginning of April,, but later I found fungus on my left toe nail. I went to a podiatrist office and was prescribed with some anti fungus treatment. Currently I am still applying my topic treatment. Never go to this salon if you want to be healthy!!! read more

Contrary to the statement recently posted, the technicians at Tip N Toe do NOT sanitize their equipment properly and they do not know how to properly cut toenails. My previous post was deleted by someone other than me. The owner is not really concerned with customer satisfaction or doing the right thing. If so, she would have reimbursed my daughter for the horrendous pedicure which resulted in an infection and two visits to the podiatrist, who advised her toenails were not cut properly and the equipment was not properly sterilized. In addition, my daughter had to take antibiotics and have part of her toenail removed. Instead of stepping up to the plate, the owner referred my daughter to her insurance agent who has done nothing to rectify the situation. We have reported this salon to the PA state health department. read more

I always make appointments especially for Vivian because she books fast.
