We ate here during our first visit to the HMT trail system (we drove in our vehicle, didn't ride…read moredirect from the trails). It was busy on a Saturday night. For a first time visitor, it was confusing. You walk in and shuffle down (no hostess) to a cafeteria line. You order your drinks first, get a tray and push it along. Food next - you order from a large board. Then you take a number and go find your own seat. They have a salad bar and a large hot bar. The salad was great - fresh and lots of toppings! I ordered the filet and my husband ordered a ribeye. When our plates arrived, my heart sank. My filet looked like a burnt pork chop. I did order it medium well, but it looked charred. The ribeye looked delicious though! I was pleasantly surprised though after trying it. It was tasty! It didn't look like the filet I'm used to, but had a very good taste. My husbands ribeye was perfect as well. Overall, the food was wonderful. Our total was $50 and change for two steak dinners and a salad bar. If they had better communication or signs for first timers, they would have gotten 5 stars.

I ordered a large garden salad On DoorDash. The salad was mostly cucumbers and bacon bits (very…read morelittle lettuce in the salad). I paid almost $23 for it. When I called the restaurant to complain; I was literally told it won't their problem but DoorDash's. I've known the owner of the restaurant for years and I was really surprised with their response [especially since their Christian people]. So, I did reach out to DoorDash and did get my money back.

Fuel has been in business for a few years despite a number of flaws…read more The place inexplicably closes at 8:00 pm despite the fact the Huntington restaurant crowd is still going until 10, and it's in The Market with Austin's Ice Cream and Taqueria 84, which are open later. I was in line tonight and with another person in front of me and the clock struck 8:00 and the young woman at the counter literally told us, "Sorry, that was the last customer. We close at 8." I've never been in line at a counter business in my life and been turned away because of hours. Second, the sandwiches here made with overly thick bread but the meat portions are paper thin. These are not sandwiches, they are bread with a hint of meat. I always get the pizzas here as thst is all they offer that is worthwhile. Unfortunately, though, there is... Third, they haven't changed the menu since they opened. It's bee. the same damned options for the past few years! People say they have a favorite (always pizza) at Fuel and that's because they can never get a new option. This is a lazy business that had a great beginning but one which doesn't listen to its customers at all. They've been told about the hours, the fat bread, and the lack of new options by many people, and they feign a politeness that tells you that they don't value your opinion. It gets by because it's in a town with few options and even fewer new ones.
