I am just leaving Tips And Toes. I wanted to offer another opinion than the last review. Tiffany has been doing my nails and toes for 10 years. I have followed her to three shops. Her customer service and technique are excellent. She is very thorough and always manages to undo all of the damage I've done to my nails and feet in a two week period (I am super hard on my hands). Everyone at the shop has been there for the two plus years I've been going there. Their turnover is very low and the owner is super sweet. Their environment is clean and I'm always pleased when I walk out. They are on the higher side from a price standpoint, But a lot of times you get what you pay for with quality and price. I have seen lots of different kinds of people come in and out of that shop in the 2+ years I've been going there. I've always seen them treated with respect and dignity. I highly recommend Tips And Toes they are professional well qualified and overall an excellent shop to call your nail place. This has been my consistent experience there. read more

First off the staff was very friendly from the moment I walked in I was greeted by Jackie who is a sweetie! The nail salon itself was very clean and didn't have that strong chemical polish scent I have had my fair share of nail shops and I'm very picky about who I let do my nails and how I like them done to perfection. Mandy did my gel manicure and I was so impressed! She polished them perfectly!! I didn't have to guide her through polishing or tell her to get the corners(ladies you know what I mean) She is fabulous and had me laughing the whole time. I felt like I was having a girls day out with Mandy doing my nails. I will say I had a fun time at the nail shop and I've never had that experience by myself. I love too how the salon has their own app and you get incentives for just being a customer. I advise everyone to try this nail salon because I am now their new returning client!! The negative reviews on here maybe they just had a bad day because the gel nail dryers are not small if you have big hands then maybe that might not work but my hands fit just fine. Also too they may be busy but that's a good thing meaning they do great work you don't want to go to an empty salon that would make me worry! This place was over rated and blah / nails was done very nice in my first visit by a woman with a daughter who plays the violin - great job . After that never had anyone else do a good job . Sorry. Those in waiting area have a very limited view of patrons receiving services. Not a "window to the world" for the public to view and stare at you while you are having your mani-pedis or other services. Reasonably priced. December, 2017 update: Took teens here for special event. Coffin shaped nails cost more here for the shape. Person cut one teens finger so she had to bandaid it for the event. More importantly, 1 nail broke within two days, Returned for repair on day of event, which they gladly repaired. A week later nails started to lift and another broke. Seems their product on this person barely lasted a week, and at 2 weeks more were lifting and breaking so badly that teen removed nails. Very disappointing expensive experience this time. read more

Usually I love this place, today I felt like I was bugging any nail tech by even being there. I tried to talk to the lady doing my pedicure and she never said anything back. Not even a hello. My pedicure was very rushed and she missed a lot of dead skin. When a asked her to scrub my toes because she never touched them, she looked at me like I was dumb. My sns was also very rushed and has a horrible quality. Half of them are shaped ( because she did a horrible job) and I was charged a shaping fee. I love my nail tech and the job she does. The reason for the 4 stars is because of their front desk/scheduling. When I call and make an appointment, the services I request over the phone aren't always scheduled for. They often book the techs back to back and twice I have had to come back the next week to have everything finished (fill one week, feet the next). The ONLY reason I tolerate this is bc my tech is amazing and this is out of her control. Everyone is nice enough but that doesn't negate the feeling of being rushed. Other than that, everything else is great - clean, sanitary, good atmosphere. Just be very, very specific when booking your services. read more

David is the absolute best nail tech in Alpharetta hands down. Meticulous attention to detail for picky customers like myself. Super efficient and awesome personality. Clean salon with high quality products. The front desk staff can be disorganized and give incorrect amounts at check out. On several visits, after my card was charged and I was walking out the door I was asked for more money--- extremely annoying. Pretty average work. It gets packed in there FAST. I went with my sisters, we were the only ones there at first and suddenly, the place filled up and the staff were scrambling to get everyone at the same time instead of focusing on who got there first. We arrived at 2, didn't finish our mani/pedis until 4:55! Thats waaaaayyy too long for a service. The lady told me they were understaffed that day, which explains the average performance. The lady that did my pedi was June and she was really good. I had Lisa for my full set mani and she wasn't the greatest. She was aggressive while cleaning and i bled several times. I asked for coffin nails but my nails look square and the polish job was ok. Ill give this place another shot since they were understaffed. I showed my groupon and the girl told me I had to have an appointment to use the groupon. She followed that by saying they were completely bookek up through the expiration date! First thing I noticed about this place was how clean it was! The second was their HUGE selection of polish colors (especially OPI and ESSIE) The owners were so nice, it was quiet, didn't smell like the acrylic/acetone smell that you would normally be forced to inhale at regular salons! Yelp doesn't always provide you with the best go to places bc this was a quick decision for a lunch break pamper session. I went in to get my acrylic overlay removed & a gel mani. The salon was gorg with a relaxing atmosphere. That's why I gave a 3 star rating....decor! The nail tech (she didn't talk much...so I honestly forget her name) cut my cuticles up & the sides of my skin near my nail. I was truly butchered & my nails were sooooo sore! Overly priced & an uneven application with the gel polish. My original nail tech even asked who did my nails & why were they so uneven. One of the worst experience going to a nail salon. I decided to check this place out because it's closer to home and what a disappointment. I requested a mani and pedi. The Two women at the front desk were very pleasant, but it was a different story with the nail technicians. I explained to the lady who was doing my manicure that my nails are 100 percent real and that I requested that she soaked the acrylic off of my nails to not destroy the nail bed and to maintain the length I've spent months growing. Instead she pretended not to hear me. So she had proceeded to pull up the acrylic using mini pliers. The first finger she did I told her again that I did not want to have the acrylic ripped off of my nails because it would destroy my nails. She then with an aggravated tone told me she does it like this all the time and that they didn't do soaks. Then she had completely destroyed my nail by tearing up my nail under the acrylic. Now the lady who did my pedi was very rude. I greeted her and she gave me the most rude response by staring at me and ignoring me when I had something to say. Instead she spent most of her time checking out my boyfriend. I thought she didn't speak any English. She was very rough and shoving my feet in and out of the water as if she didn't want to do the job. All of a sudden she turns to the lady who was doing my pedi and they began to speak in their native language and they both looked at me the same time and started laughing. Now the lady who was doing my pedi begins to speak in perfectly good English to another staff member.These people are very rude and I don't think the nail technicians actually like attending to women of color. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. I will definitely make the 30 min drive to my regular nail salon. read more

It was late on a Saturday evening, my nails looked like crap and I had to go out of town on Sunday. I used Yelp to find a highly rated salon that was still open. I called ahead to make sure they would be willing to do a gel manicure and pedicure 30 minutes before closing. The gentleman said come on over without hesitation. I felt bad about how late it was so I only opted for the basic pedicure. Everyone was sooooo nice AND they did not rush. It was after 8 when they finished. I felt fabulous. First off, I had read that a good majority of the nail salons around the metro aren't regulated as the "health" inspectors are few in comparison to the amount of salons. I was VERY pleased to see that the instruments used for my pedi were in autoclave packaging! Also, the place is clean and the decor is so cute! The prices were on point for what I'd expect and my pedi turned out awesome, flowers and all. I am only giving 4 stars because the gal who did the pedi seemed less than impressed to be there and when asked if she enjoys her job (nothing sugar coated) she responded with a "no". Whether you hate it or not, I wouldn't tell the paying customer that you do or don't! I was able to warm her up a bit with conversation, but her clear distaste for the job made me feel awkward. I've been searching for a nail salon in the area. I came here for the first time today, and I really liked it. The salon is pretty & larger than your typical nail salon. There was a good variety of nail polish to choose from. The massage chairs seem like they've had a bit of use - but they were comfy. The guy that did my pedicure, Salin (???), was very kind. He was friendly. He spent his time on my terribly dry heels. The massage was very nice and relaxing. I changed my mind on color before he started painting. He was so sweet about it, & went to find a new color for me. He did a great job on my cuticles, heels, and painting my toenails. They used disposable liners in the pedicure bowl - and that is a "must" for me. The instruments were sealed in an enclave package. So I appreciate the cleanliness as well. I'll be back. read more
