    Deconstructed S'mores
    Brandon T.

Chapter 62 Imagine, dear reader, being invited into the cozy embrace of someone's rustic home in Elk River, where the scent of hearty, home-cooked delights wafts from the kitchen. Here lies Tipsy Chicken Kitchen & Cocktails, proudly proclaiming "ORGANIC | ETHICAL | HUMANE | HEALTHY" and serving up a warm, homespun experience. We may have strayed from the "healthy" part of that tagline, but that was on purpose. Our journey began not as adventurers, but as cherished guests, welcomed with an appetizing overture of wings. A dozen Amish chicken wings, fried and accompanied by sauces. It was like a gracious host offering up a simple yet irresistible welcome, setting the scene for a delightful gathering. Next time, we'll have them tossed instead. I, ever the appreciative guest, chose the chicken and dumplings. Herb-roasted chicken, homemade dumplings, and savory mirepoix gravy, accompanied by focaccia bread; it felt like a comforting, homemade meal, lovingly prepared in a dear friend's kitchen. A friend that you actually like. Not one of those other types. My dining companion, equally charmed by our host's offerings, opted for the chicken pot pie. It shared flavors with my dish, like a family recipe passed down through generations. These dishes were a duet of homey, rich, and undeniably tasty goodness, and they were different enough that no table should fear getting both. To accompany our meal, we decided to explore the cocktail menu, settling on "Confusion" and "Frog Juice." They were fragrant, boozy, and as delightful as sipping drinks in the living room while the host strums an old guitar with 3 broken strings. You aren't sure how it works, but damn if it doesn't work incredibly well. We finished with the deconstructed s'mores, which were lovely and only needed some more thorough torching on all sides to be out-of-this-world. Throughout our visit, the service felt like being in the company of dear friends, where warmth and hospitality abounded. It added that extra layer of charm to our experience, making us feel like we had been welcomed into a cherished friend's home for a memorable meal. In Tipsy Chicken, we found not just a restaurant but a heartfelt invitation to share in the joys of rustic, home-cooked cuisine. Until we return to our gracious host's kitchen, we'll hold these memories close to our hearts. Thank you, Tipsy Chicken, for making us feel like family. The end.

Oh, there are so many good things to say about Tipsy Chicken. I've been here several times now and every time has been such a great experience. Tipsy Chicken uses quality ingredients in everything they make, from entrees to appetizers to cocktails. Think farm-to-table, but even better than you'd probably imagine it to be. No matter what meal I get, I will always start with a side salad with maple vinaigrette. You know how in a lot of places, a side or starter salad is that kind of boring lettuce, shredded carrot, cherry tomato thing? Not here. You get mixed greens, onions, carrots, crostini, and the greatest dressing known to mankind. I think my favorite entree so far has been the Amish chicken pot pie. The only way it could be improved if it was served year-round rather than seasonally. The fries are an excellent side - they are so crispy and flavorful. Another great thing about Tipsy Chicken is you aren't getting oily/greasy things. You get so much better flavor without all the grease. The cocktails are just superb. Imagine fresh fruits and herbs, but boozy. My go-to cocktail is the Confusion, but I've tried almost every drink on the menu over time and there are so many unique flavor profiles there is always something fun to enjoy. The atmosphere and service at Tipsy Chicken have always been great. The interior is farmhouse chic, but somehow not kitschy. It feels very comfortable and modern, but also rustic at the same time. This is definitely a place to stop by if you're in the Northern suburbs or looking to venture out of the Twin Cities area for something delicious.

The food was actually pretty good. The Service was good as well. The cleanliness of the area where we were seated was a bit on the dirty side. The server mentioned that kids were sitting there before us, but the staff didn't take the time to clean before sitting us down. The Ambiance was just okay.

Took a trek out to Elk River for some brunch with old coworkers. The server told us that they had a completely revamped brunch menu, and I got the cajun scramble, which came with andouille sausage, peppers, eggs and cheese with a side of sweet potatoes, apples and kale and a hot sauce. Great mix of savory and sweet, and I love that it came with the hot sauce without me needing to ask. I ordered a sweet hazel as my drink, which came with hazelnut infused vodka, espresso beans, kahlua, coffee, and cream. Tipsy Chicken is not only delicious, but serves organic and certified humane chicken and delicious farm style meals. It was definitely worth the drive.

We loved this place. First let me say get a reservation. We had one and got seated within minutes. It's not a big place but it's really popular. It's a really cute chicken theme and lots to look at. We ordered drinks and bruschetta for an appetizer. The drinks were strong and delicious I got the confusion and it even smelled delicious. We ordered the chicken pot pie and tipsy cauliflower for dinner and both were really good. Our dessert was something we saw with ice cream and a waffle with bananas and a sauce and we couldn't resist and it was worth every calorie. Our service was good. We asked for water as well as our drinks with alcohol. Our waitress was good, we loved the atmosphere and the food and drinks were fantastic so we will definitely come back.

Stopped in for lunch and the service was excellent! The food was really great and we are looking forward to another visit to try more options! I can recommend the Tipsy Chicken and the Chicken and Dumplings!

Organic/ethical/humane/healthy is their byline, which is reflected in the pricing. It's a locally owned/operated scratch kitchen (fits in with the chicken theme). I LOVED that our server, Randine knew the ingredients in ALL of our choices! I had to skip the Dixie Chick because she warned me it was made with buttermilk (I'm lactose intolerant). They are gluten knowledgeable as well!

My friends suggested Tipsy Chicken for a weekday lunch, and it did not disappoint! We were seated at a table by the front windows, and the environment was so comfortable, it was a quiet place to chat and the service was pleasant. I couldn't wait to try the chicken tenders, and WOW the crispy coating is to die for I loved their ranch sauce and the honey dipping sauce too! My friend tried the Mac, and loved it. We also split the organic fries, with added Parmesan garlic, and I had high expectations, but they seemed to be super undercooked. Tasty, but sorta limp, for fries. I added on a side salad, and it was unique and the perfect pairing. We each ordered a cocktail, I went with the Frog Juice it included fresh squeezed juice and vodka, and was pretty dang good and unique.

OH MY MY MY!!!! Absolutely delicious . Came here for a family brunch and it was very relaxing not busy, we got to sit by the window which the kiddos loved. Our waiters were amazing an very knowledgeable of the plates. Starting off for the kids if you know you know they selected the chicken tenders and . For the adults it went something like this. Organic Buffalo Chicken Wings -fried(they also have grilled) with a side of ranch which is most excellent. 8/10 Chicken & Waffles -Hand breaded, fried organic chicken breast a top a homemade Belgian waffle with maple syrup and served with Potatoes 8/10 Cheese Steak Tender steak, bell peppers and onions, cheese curds, roasted garlic aioli on a sub roll.(BTW add goat cheese to take it to the next level) 9/10

Recently a few friends & I ventured in to Elk River for this rrataurant! What pulled us in was our obsession for Beets. Tipsy Chicken has a Beet-A-Rita & we had to try it! We shared a few menu items & also got our own entrees. It was a fun time & we truly enjoyed all the menu items we had. Rooster Mac & Cheese: Organic penne noodles w/ creamy cheese sauce, pulled chicken, bacon, & mushrooms topped w/ breadcrumbs. This was so screamt and delish! Tipsy Cauliflower: Organic cauliflower, bacon, parmesan cheese w/ house Tipsy dressing on a bed of baby spinach. I love cauliflower and this was frrash with good flavors. Gnocchi - House made Ricotta gnocchi, pan-fried w/ cremini mushroom sauce & sage. Beet-A- Rita : Tres Generaciones Reposado tequila, Contreau, fresh beet juice, fresh lime juice & Agave nectar. 10/10 obsessed

We've had fairly good food here. Chicken is what they do well. They also offer cocktails. The decor is farm like. It's a nice little place to go with your significant other or friends. Service has always been good.

I loved the idea of this place, the execution was simply off. We came for brunch for Memorial Day weekend and were hit with bad weather. Since everyone was inside I'll chalk up some of the wreckage to being understaffed but when a group makes a reservation, enters with only 3-4 tables seated and waits for 30 minutes for food and then has French toast and pancakes burnt something isn't working. Their chicken sandwich was awesome but the timing in the kitchen hurt the temps and consistency of the 9 in our party. Truthfully their coffee was the best part of our meal it was really good. I'll give them another shot, I'm hoping for a better round 2.

Today i went to tipsy chicken for a family event. I got the Rooster Mac & Cheese without the pulled chicken, bacon, and mushrooms Alex got the Chicken Parmesan. The service was very slow even though there was only a couple of people but the inside was very nice. The mac & cheese was not great I expected a creamy cheesy mac n cheese but instead i got a sour long noodle dish it was not good until i asked for franks hot sauce do not go here if you have a big event

Our second attempt we went on a Saturday right when they opened. We were greeted at the door and were told we can pick where we want to sit. It was decorated really cute for the theme everywhere, they had couches, more regular dining tables, barrel tables and bar seating. We opted for a barrel table. The menu for food and drinks were all changed to be named after SB related references which was really fun. We ordered a few drinks, mocktails and food. The food is more so bar food, bites. We ordered pickle roll up's, chicken lettuce wraps, onion rings and they were all very basic and imo not worth it for the prices. I'd prefer to eat some where before and then come here for drinks. The drinks were decent. A lot of them had bitters, which I'm not a fan of at all but I know it's very common at cocktail bars. I did find a few without and went with those. One was called campfire song song. It was like a s'mores espresso martini which I loved. Our waitress was really nice, attentive and in tune with the theme. I loved her enthusiasm. Overall it was really cute and I can tell beyond the theme it's a cute place to grab drinks with friends. I'd for sure come back for other themes or just to just out the normal vibe.

You wouldn't believe this cozy lounge was nestled in this strip mall in Otsego. We chose a few different drinks - a few signature cocktails, a flight from the specials menu, and a glass of Prosecco. The names were clever, the drinks were unique, and the staff was knowledgeable. The Parmesan Truffle Fries were crispy, meaty, and the jalapeño sauce gave them a nice kick. The Cowboy Corn Poppers (not pictured) were crunchy on the outside while creamy and flavorful on the inside. This was the perfect way to end the night with friends. We will definitely be coming back.

Wasn't a huge fan of the spicy butter it came with, but strange but the bread itself was good. The wings had a good seasoning and the house made ranch was really tasty!
