There is a bar, with bar seating, The other seating consisted of normal table with hard back chairs, and couches that ran down the side of the wall with tables, and hard back chairs on the other side. Overall, the service was adequate, not good, and certainly not great, but good enough not to stop us from enjoying our night out. I started with what was supposed to be a cup of Tomato Bisque but received and paid for a bowl. Somewhat my fault for not realizing that my serving and what I paid for was large and more expensive than the cup I ordered. With that said, I thought the flavor of the bisque served with, Garlic Buttered Crostini, and grated Smoked Gouda was outstanding. The temperature could have been a bit warmer, but again the flavor was sport on. The wife and I split a very large bowl of PEI Mussels. The Mussels were served in a white wine broth with Shallots, Garlic, Roasted Tomatoes, and Bacon. Honestly, I could and did finish the broth off as a soup. There were quite a few Mussels that did not open, but the bowl was so large, we wouldn't have eaten them anyway. The wife's main dish was the Pan Seared Sea Scallops, with peach and bacon risotto, and fresh Spinach. The dish was finished with an amazing Bourbon Peach Brown Butter Reduction. The scallops were large, the Risotto was great, but the brown butter reduction was the absolute star of the dish. For my main dish I had the Curried Lamb Lollipops, served over Cilantro Basmati Rice, and roasted Tomatoes with an excellent curry sauce. The chops were of good size and cooked to perfection. And please don't even get me started on the fired Garlic Butter Paratha which is some of the best bread I have ever had. My mistake was ordering a side of the Peach and Bacon Risotto similar to what was served with the scallop dish. Without the Bourbon Peach Brown Butter Reduction however, the risotto ate a little dry and had little to no peach flavor. I finished my meal with a bourbon , Mascarpone, bread pudding, which was amazing. The dish was loaded with bourbon which both my wife and I agreed was not completely cooked off. Great dish to finish an outstanding meal. Even with a few minor missteps, the overall flavor of the dishes were so good, I still must give it an overall 5.

I've eaten at Tipsy's several times since its opening weekend. This place was INSTANTLY the most popular bar in Historic Downtown Brunswick. The bartenders fresh squeeze juice for each cocktail made, the beers on tap are quality craft beers, and they have an excellent selection of wines. The bar has beautiful windows that overlook a huge old oak tree in a recently renovated town square. The park makes Tipsy's a perfect place to let kids play while mom and dad enjoy the company of friends and family. Now the food. Yummmm!!! My favorite was the garden flatbread with house made pesto, until I had the green gobbler turkey sandwich with house made guacamole. Then I had the veggie burger. This is not your typical, black bean/boca burger type veggie burger. It, too, is house made with chick peas. It is, by far, the best veggie burger I've ever had. The funky chips are a great appetizer and the onion rings will bring to mind memories of the Varsity (but less greasy). The owner and staff want everyone to be happy. They are less than a month old and are slammed at lunch every day and at dinner every weekend. Did I mention the live music on Friday and Saturday nights? I had an awesome time at Tipsy McSway's. We went on a Tuesday to check out some mid-week things...Tipsy had advertised an open musician night where they come and play...did not expect much for entertainment. Wow...great musicians who come and pretty much donate their time. There was one entire band in particular that took the stage called Stone Groove, they were excellent and rocked the bar. I had a great time, the bar manager Susan made our party feel welcomed. We had several dishes everyone liked it especially great was the Tipsy Burger and steak meal. Our waitress was consistently checking to make sure we had drinks, water, food, ran our tab with class. What a great night, with great music which you dont have to pay any cover for...believe me as good as that band played I would have in a second. There is also a regular house band that plays too. If you are looking for a mid-week break night out that will not cost a fortune but is quality then check out the place. It's obvious that owner, Susan and son, Jason, with a lot of hard work, have transformed a space that was once an ordinary type diner into an incredibly classy bar and pub. Freshly prepared food which includes salads, burgers, smash dog, handmade pretzels and sandwiches are just a few of the menu offerings. And the onion rings? You won't find those battered institutional straight from the freezer ones here. They're the real deal at Tipsy's with a golden light crunchy crust that is, well, delicious. Made to order drinks are prepared with juices from freshly squeezed fruit and the beer selection is very good. The weekend live bands set the stage for a great place to meet up with friends and meet new ones while enjoying the charm of downtown Brunswick. Tipsy's is more than just a watering hole! Situated in a beautifully rustic nineteenth century building in historic Brunswick, Tipsy McSway's overlooks one of the Signature Square parks that dot the downtown area. The food here is freshly prepared and worlds better than the typical pub fare. From a fresh pesto based flatbread sandwich to onion rings that rival any I've had, everything has been fantastic. There are craft brews a plenty and cocktails made with fresh flair, all by a very attentive bartender staff. With a small stage and room to dance, there is top notch live music every weekend. The owner, Susan, her son Jason, and the entire staff exude energy. The crowd here welcomes all and never have I seen so many smiles in one place. After riding my bike around the beautiful South End of Brunswick, I continued to Tipsy's for dinner. Parked my bike out front and was greeted at the door by customers walking out with smiles on their faces. Sat down at the bar and placed my order, (someone was there in about 5 seconds). Enjoyed seeing friends that stopped by for a drink or an appetizer, they are even dog friendly! When my food arrived, chicken fingers and fries, I commented that I will not be able to eat all of this. 3 HUGE pieces of fried chicken, (not chicken stuff) and a pile of french fries. All of our locals and many of our tourists love Tipsy's! The food is very good (love the Titanic salad and delicious onion rings!) and the beer and wine selection is excellent. I also love the fact that if you order a cocktail involving juice, it is fresh-squeezed at the bar! There's music on the weekends, and a delightful city park right outside to enjoy some cool evening air. Came here the other night for drinks and was not disappointed. They had 4 craft beers on tap and a wide selection of whiskeys. I had a old fashion made by Davis.(I highly recommend you try anything this bartender makes. He is a true bartender.) Was a nice little bar in a dying downtown area.
