I was in Georgia for work in Feb and after a stressful 1st week we finally had time to breathe and have fun....so we looked for any bar opened on a Monday of all days, and we found Tipsy McSway's. It was a quiet place, decorated nicely as if it was a classier establishment. Someone looked like they were on a 1st date there. But we brought the ratchet. We ordered drinks after generous drinks and asked if they played music there. The manager decided, " What the heck. It's Monday. Let them have some fun." And she turned on some music and we danced! Great drinks. Great bartender. Maybe we ordered food? I can't remember. Like I said, great bartender. And great management! Thank you for helping us have some fun on a Monday night. I've had this place bookmarked for a while. It was also recommended to me by the locals. I wasn't actually a fan of the downtown area in Brunswick last time I went to this area. It seemed a lot better this time around. It was dinner time and I was getting hungry. This place S\seemed small on the outside, this place is actually pretty big. They had a live band going setting up and were starting to get busy. Now, as a criticism..and it's not just this place. It's a lot of places in this area and this is just a general pet peeve of mine. When you walk in, it's gotta be clear what the seating procedures are. There needs to be a host and if there isn't one, there should be a big sign as to what you're supposed to do. It's annoying to just stand there like an idiot, wondering if you should order, sit, wait to be seated? What? Again, it's not just this place. But any place that has this issue I am taking a star right off the bat. Now, the food was really good. I ordered some of those fried goat cheese balls. I can see the appeal, but I don't enjoy goat cheese warm like this, so not sure why I even ordered it. The honey made them sweet and it just didn't work for me. Next I had the fried chicken po boy with a caesar. Very good flavor on the po boy, delicious. Sauce and the greens all worked together, excellent. Caesar was ok, I honestly haven't had a good one in this area. Dressing on the side? Don't get it. Also had a few beers. Nice variety of beers on tap. I had one of the featured Hefeweizens and it was fantastic. Time for dessert. Coffee and beignets, powered sugar and chocolate. This another place that has beignets and that's just great news! I grew up with them and you don't see them very often anywhere on the West Coast. These were good, huge portion, which of course I demolished. The live country band was pretty good. Nice atmosphere. The service was actually excellent, once I realized I just need to sit myself. Still going to give this place 4 stars. Good meal, good service, good beer and I had a good time. This place is so misleading!! I expected standard, greasy bar food and was pleasantly surprised. The server we had was super friendly and kind. Service was fast despite being a Saturday night. We ordered a soft pretzel (to die for!!) and then the Tipsy Burger and roast beef sandwich. Both were incredible. Our meals were not just boring bar food, they were elevated yet not pretentious. If you want the rudest bartender is town sit at the bar and wait for a girl with dark hair, tattoos, and a ring through her nose. If you don't know what you want as soon as you sit down she will start complaining to everyone at the bar how she hates customers who don't know what they want immediately. As of late, I have not been satisfied with my garlic wings. I was very clear with my ordering that I didn't want all the drumettes but mostly flats, I was told they will even them out, because they couldn't give me just flats, I ordered a eight pieces and they gave me one flat and the rest drumettes and this has happen to me twice in the last month. I really try to support our local establishments. I spoke with the manager Nessa on one of the occasions and she wasn't that friendly and she were the person who took my order. I couldn't understand why would they serve a customer something that I didn't ask for or at least told me they were short of flats and let me make my own decision, keep in mind, I have had some good experiences here, but as of late, not really good. read more

From the amazing menu to the even more spectacular staff, you never feel out of place at Tipsy's, regardless of where you come from. We came in as a group of 25 and the service was incredibly smooth considering. The food did take a bit but we were all having a good time that we didn't really notice. I ordered the Tipsy burger and was slightly disappointed. There was too much bread and I didn't eat most of my top bun. It also didn't come with onion rings but I almost finished my burger before I even noticed. The meat was cooked well but the overall taste was just pretty average. The side I chose was the fried potato salad. It was really good, but I wouldn't say it was the best thing ever. It was pretty much little pieces of fried potatoes with a warm mayonnaise sauce that reminded me a lot of the sauce they put on volcano rolls at sushi restaurants. What I did like were the fried goat cheese balls with honey and the warm cookie with ice cream for dessert. My burger only gets a 3 stars but the restaurant quality and service definitely bumps this place up to a 4 stars. read more

First time in the area and we found this hidden jewel! The feel of the place was really cool and relaxing. The 80's ROCK playing over the speakers was EVERYTHING There was no band playing because it was 1:30pm lunch time but that didn't stop us from meeting a ROCK STAR Brittany our server was AWESOME She was left to sever about 6 or 7 tables at the same time and didn't miss a beat! Brittany you ROCK!!! The food was really good and filling. Stopped in on our way to the car for a drink or two on a Saturday night. Wasn't overly busy at the bar. The owner immediately greeted us at the bar and told us about a new drink special that night called a "pain killer" that I ordered and it was the best mixed drink I've ever had. My friend had a couple beers and we had a shot, and I had two pain killers and the bill was only 25. What a great deal for a Saturday. Food looked delicious but we had already eaten.
