But while waiting I got to take a look at the millions of nail colors they offer. They have a really nice set up with very comfortable seating. The stylist that did my brows was really sweet and complementary. She did an amazing job on my brows. I was really happy with them. So, I wanted to give 3 1/2 stars but since there are no halves, I'll stick with the 3. This salon is very pretty inside, the aesthetics are wonderful. It fits right in with the Winter Park vibe. I am so happy that they have a parking lot in the back, although it can be a little difficult to find parking at times. I was greeted by a gentleman by the name of Andy and he quickly got someone to take care of me. I love how they have all of their colors on the books so that you can take it with you to the pedicure chair. I just wish that it would have been displayed in an ombre of each color. I did not have to wait and the chairs were plentiful. They offered me an alcoholic beverage but I got a water. I opted for the Bahama pedicure and a regular gel manicure. I think the prices are fair and I like how nice and quiet it was in the salon. There weren't people on their cell phones in the open. The employees were very quiet when they were not working and it was peaceful in there. I think it's a nice change of pace in there because we all know, nail salons are a dime a dozen. If I were in the area, I would visit again, but wouldn't go out of my way. Very nice employees and Andy was walking around making sure all was well. Oh yeah, and I asked for short toe nails but I think she was afraid it would be too close for the skin, so I ended up cutting my own nails. YES, I cut my own toe nails, all 10 of them. Me and my daughter have been going to Tipsy Nail Bar for about 9 months now I think. It's completely out of the way for us, but I really can't go anywhere else at this point. Everyone is so nice at Tipsy and they know us even though we only come about once a month. Every time I have an idea, they work hard to bring it to life including helping me pick the colors. The pedicures are amazing, they use real fruit or aloe, and give long massages. I always feel so relaxed after and my feet feel wonderful. This particular visit I just couldn't find Pinterest inspo for what I wanted but Tammy was so patient with me and by the end she was adding sparkle and snowflakes! I did call ahead to say I wanted velvet nails in the hopes of being assigned a technician that knew how to do it. The place is clean and staff is friendly. If you get a pedicure, you're able to get a glass of wine/champagne/things like that on the house. The drinks are not allowed in the area where they do your hands. Something that stood out to me about this place is that every time the tech tried to offer additional services she was extremely upfront about how much extra it would cost. The other thing that stood out is when I explained what type of nails I wanted, they mentioned they would do a sample. While we were prepping my nails, the technician did a quick sample of two looks to determine what I wanted. That honestly made all the difference in the world. The look, I thought I wanted actually didn't pan out and I was able to identify that by the sample. While the tops of the nails look good, the bottom and sides look ridiculous. I'm embarrassed that I have to show up to the wedding with these nails. The salon it's self is beautiful. The atmosphere is very classy, but also relaxing. I made my appointment weeks ago, but when I came in they said they had no record of it despite the fact that I had a conformation email and the name of the person who was supposed to service me. Luckily they weren't busy and they fit me in. I was annoyed they didn't have me in the schedule despite me booking early in advance and receiving confirmation. I was with a group of friends and was the only one they couldn't find. The women who did my nails was very kind, but I had my concerns. I ordered a full acrylic set with tips. The tools she used didn't look clean and a brush she used to dust off the nail dust was crusty from previous use. She was very harsh on my cuticles, and made one bleed. Probably from the roughness on my cuticles, a product she put on my hands burned and we had to spray it off. I've never had that happen in all the times I've gotten nails. As she filed my nails, she asked me if they looked alright. I pointed out one severely crooked one and she blamed it on me moving my hand and didn't offer to fix it. However, as she continued, it improved. Overall, she did a good job. My cuticles are a little damaged and I have a few slightly crooked nails, but overall the look is what I asked for. Maybe if my appointment was remembered I wouldn't have had someone who had to get to my nails last minute and the experience would have been a bit better. That being said, I still loved the shop and would give it another chance. read more

Been here 10+ times. My name is Shelby before the owner says I was not serviced by them. I only go here for my pedicure now. I had a pedicure the other day where I was cut very severely by the woman doing my pedicure. She kept saying it couldn't have been her because my nails were so grown out that she didn't use the drill close to the cuticle, but it was her and she went to "clean my cuticle" and cut me very deeply. I didn't wanna put my foot in the water as I was bleeding and a lot of pain and told her I just wanted to polish change which they charged me full price for. I had no problem paying but I probably should've offered a discount after what was done and the woman continually denied to her supervisor that it was her. How could I cut myself sitting in a pedicure chair? It was the drill. when I told her I was in pain and I didn't wanna put my foot in the water and I just wanted to polish change she got upset and grabbed a blue solution and put it in my cut without asking me. It made me super uncomfortable and I kept telling her "no do not do that" and she did it anyway. I did not see her take out a new drill bit before she started on me and the one that cut me was not disposed of in front of me. I had the service done on Saturday and look at my foot now. The cut is huge and takes up over half the cuticle space of my nail, not to mention its extremely painful and dangerous. Whatever blue solution stopped the bleeding and made it look way less bad than it was but I have been in pain for days. I felt very uncomfortable and very unsafe. All I was offered was a $10 gift coupon to return which I will never be doing ever again. I was not rude and extremely polite and I was barely accommodated and ended up paying for getting injured.
