I've been going to Noir Nails & Spa for a while now, and Paula and Leah are absolutely wonderful. Not only are they incredibly meticulous and detail-oriented, but they are also some of the kindest, warmest people you'll meet. They always greet you with a smile, make great conversation, and genuinely care about their clients. You never feel rushed and they always make you feel comfortable and welcome. I have ingrown toenails, so pedicures can be painful if they're not done properly. Paula and Leah take such great care of me that my toenails never hurt after an appointment. They are gentle, thorough, and really know what they're doing. Not only are they talented, but they make every visit enjoyable. Never again. Since this place changed ownership about a half year ago, the service has tanked. It seems the best nail techs are gone, or I've just been unlucky. Pedicures are still great, but during my last visit for nails, my tech put two of my tips on crooked which happens, but they can be reshaped before the clear polish goes on. He didn't bother and I didn't notice until it was too late. I broke two nails in the first week, which doesn't happen to me, unless it's time for another appointment. When I stopped by to have them fixed, the receptionist said my tech was busy and she wasn't sure if the other (available) tech would fix them for me... What? She ultimately fixed them, but she did the bare minimum to remove the old tip extension and glued a new one on top resulting in chunky, uneven nails that clearly stood out from the rest. She was very nice though and didn't charge me anything. I still tipped her $10, even though she told me not to worry about it. The receptionists have treated me like I'm an inconvenience every time I've gone in, but I kept trying because the place is so clean and so beautiful and maybe I just needed to find my new regular. I'm always polite, respectful and patient and have consistently tipped $20 on a $53 service regardless of quality. Oh, beware of hidden costs. Dip with tip extensions is $53, but I blindly paid $58 and learned this later when checking my bank account. I received no extra polish or other service, not even a hand massage or cuticle oil. I now doubt it was a mistake. Today was the final straw. I had booked an appointment online for 10:15 this morning. I was trying a different tech who was finishing another customer. I had never met her so I didn't know what she looked like, but she ended up being the person who had just finished, got up, walked away, came back out at 10:45 with her car keys and sunglasses and was about to leave when the receptionist remembered me and told her, "Oh, you have an appointment waiting," and pointed at me. Tech came over and said "Oh, what are you here for?" "Dip with tips." She answered "Ohhh, I don't do Dip. I'm allergic to Dip." When you book an online appointment, you have to select your service. I selected Dip. They should have known this would be an issue when I checked in. I had been waiting for 30 minutes for absolutely nothing, because they just stared at me and offered no solution. I stood up and started to leave when one of them uttered something. I said, "I'm good. Thank you," and left. I gave this place the benefit of the doubt multiple times. Lesson learned. read more

Owen - did AMAZING on my nails! I went in for my first time, and wanting a full set; the entire service only took an hour. I can never find anyone and I mean ANYONE to get the leopard print right but omg! He did It PERFECTLY!!!! Had a gel manicure with design. The owner was so prompt in responding via Yelp and set me up in their system with text alerts promptly. Upon arrival I was so impressed with the professionalism, environment and pricing. At first glance you'd think this would be a "chain" based on the size of the location, but that is not the case or experience at all! Great new nail salon that opened up on Newport Ave in Rumford (close to the Pawtucket line). Kept seeing ads for this new spot along with a 20% discount for its grand opening month - win in my book! I called and made appointments for myself and sisters. Very easy to book, I received a text confirmation shortly after. We booked for first thing Sunday morning and there were several people there already! Good for them and their business! The place was immaculate and clean as it's brand spanking new but has a very royal and elite look with black and gold trim. The number of manicure and pedicure stations were plentiful so this would make for a great spot for parties and large groups! Service was attentive and detailed. I didn't feel rushed at all. I opted for the collagen pedicure and collagen manicure - I really enjoyed the pedicure but prob wouldn't do the collagen manicure again. I typically don't get any color on my fingernails so I'll stick to just a regular mani next time. I really appreciate how large this salon, you don't feel cramped and crowded. And the staff was extremely friendly and prices are reasonable - the manager made it a point to check on everyone a few times. We will def be back! read more

I've been on the hunt for my new nail salon in EP, for a while. I was IMPRESSED! The service is exceptional here. I treated myself to a gel pedicure, and a dip powder manicure. I enjoyed ambiance, it's very classy inside, with comfy chairs, relaxing music and videos of tranquil locations. The cleanliness was also 5 stars. I felt clean, I felt pampered, I felt RESPECTED. The man at the front was so kind, started conversations and checked in on you throughout your visit here. BOTH nail techs I had (pedi and then mani) were very in tune with their detailing. They made sure every nail was perfect. I don't mind spending more time if it means it will last longer and look professional. I will be recommending this place to my friends. read more

I request an acrylic fill with design First of all I went in assuming I would be paying the price as said on the website. The guy that did them was rushing but at first I thought he was doing a pretty good job. I realize me after he didn't do anything near the simple design I picked. Compared to all the other designs he had on display mine was straight forward and simple. I wasn't too upset when he was finished because lucky enough I knew I could go home and fix what I didn't like. BUT I went to go pay and was charged 86$! Which in the website it says designs are 45$ not noting that it's added to the price of a regular fill. Now after I paid that price I realized I paid all that for a mid design. Very disappointed!! Other then this, the vibe in there is very nice, but when you go to pay there's a lot of sketchy conversation g before your told your price. read more

This was my second visit, and I was even more impressed than the first time! The salon is beautiful and spotless, the owner, Kyle, is incredibly kind and clearly passionate about the business, and the techs are both talented and friendly. The prices are also very reasonable. My only suggestion would be to play HGTV or another show on one of the TVs, instead of just the natural landscape scenes. I can't wait to go back for my next appointment! read more

First time here and was excited to try this place as the reviews seemed very good and looked like a clean place.. Upon arriving the front Desk associate was super friendly and sweet. When i got to the pedicure station the guy was super nice think his name was Tom. I saw this lady next to me who was given a menu for pedicures and I was not. Was never asked what kind of pedicure I wanted he just did his work My nail tech was super sweet and very attentative to my cuticles which i loved. She seemed nervous and new don't remember her name but the gel manicure came out nice. This was my first time visiting Noir Salon and I was very impressed walking in. This salon is stunning inside. The workers were all very nice. The vibe was great. I went in for a simple acrylic removal and ended up getting dip. I had 2 different techs. Both very nice. I'm just not that impressed with dip gel job. They're very bulky and thick around the cuticle. I asked for them to look natural with a natural color. They needed to be shaved down a lot more. I didn't ask for them to be fixed because I had an event to attend and was cutting it close with time. I also hate complaining (I need to get out of that) Although I'm not a fan of my nails, I saw the nails of other women there and they all looked amazing. I would may give this place another shot and speak up next time if there is something not right. read more

I wouldn't really recommend this place in all honesty. I wanted to try a new place, the aesthetic was very nice, and the women who did my mani + pedi were genuinely lovely (shout out to Kathy ) but the customer service is not great. I paid $93 for a gel mani that did not look anything like the inspiration picture I showed (it was literally just marble style) and after the dissatisfaction I expressed, the owner was very reluctant to help resolve the issue. She denied me any kind of refund (not even $5), and denied fixing them at no additional cost. She expressed to me that charging me 40 extra federally issued American dollars was the best she could do which is absurd, and genuinely argued with me about the quality of my nails. They change their prices every time you go. Just got charged $58 for an acrylic refill no broken nails back within 2 weeks. Last time I they added $5 for custom shaping on normal shaped nails. Unfortunately this will be my last time going because of this inconsistency and them charging whatever they want at the time. read more

Came back again for a mani pedi I had the same male nail tech who messed up my nails again! They were super dull when he finished my dip mani. Another tech I pointed the issue out to fixed them. The first time I went I LOVED IT the second time...not so much yes they're really clean brand new, super nice staff and owner but the same person who did my nails the second time all of a sudden said my finger was crooked and that's why my nail is, when the first time it wasn't. They're also really misshaped and the polish is thick, some nails aren't even shiny with a top coat idk why... I also asked for a nail to look like blood dripping down and when I stated it did like it because of how bad it looked I was told "you don't like it I'm sorry" and laid on another layer of paint to the thickness.
