The next morning (Sunday), I tried driving it and had no heat. I started getting warnings about it overheating. I let it sit and had intentions of taking it the next morning back into Valvoline to let them have it for ruining my car. However, on the way home I started to slowly lose power and luckily was able to pull off the highway. It completely died and I had it towed to a local auto place in Wooster (where I wish I had taken it to for this oil change - Vans Auto). Who informed me that the engine was shot. I immediately contacted Valvoline and filed an investigation. They even went to Vans to talk with them. They call me back and said "you can not prove it was anything we did. It would have eventually happed anyway" I am 100% convinced their work was a result of all of this. I am furious. They are not making this right. I had just gotten new tires and brakes on this, not to mention them talking me into paying for these extra things. I am not in a position to buy a new vehicle and feel they need to make this right. Even the auto place I had it towed it to was too coincidental that the area that they were working in didn't cause this. After talking with friends and family they too have had issues after having their car serviced here. Do not take your car here. I intend to continue to fight this.DO NOT TKE YOUR CAR HERE please see other reviews as people have had similar issues when they do radiator flushes

I used to love going here, but under new management since Don retired, it's been nothing but…read moreissues. I am leaving negative reviews on any platform I can, because they need to make this right. Maybe some negative publicity will wake them up. I took my car in for new rack and pinion in power steering system. Also got new brakes in the process. Anyway, immediately upon picking it up after new rack and pinion, power steering failed a mile down the road. They took it back in and looked at it, replaced the pump. I had to leave it with them while I left for a business trip because they had to keep it overnight to replace the pump, waiting for a part to come in. Immediately upon my return, the vehicle had loud exhaust noise upon pickup. The exhaust was fine when I took it in, and I have documentation from them to prove such (see attached). I called them to schedule an appointment to look at the new exhaust issue. Upon taking it in today, 11/3/23, I showed them the paperwork where exhaust was fine when I dropped it off. When I showed the manager the paperwork and explained that something seemed to be amiss, she immediately became angry and said I was accusing her of purposely damaging my exhaust. Ultimately, words were exchanged, and she refused to look at it. I now have corporate involved waiting for a resolution to this issue. Bottom line, I've taken it in twice, and twice left with a car in worse shape. They are not taking accountability. An exhaust noise does not just magically appear when there was no noise prior or issue upon arrival to the shop. Mr. Tire, you've left me without a car several times. I've had to take time off from work, rearrange my schedule, and loan vehicles to make it to work when I couldn't be off.

They did the job but a week later when I put the rims back on my I had out of balance vibrations an called to see if they could check an see if the job was done right so I could determine if there was another issue . Long story short I was met with rudeness as soon as they answered an told me I would have to pay again for them to check their work !! I already paid $148 to just have tires put on rims an balanced which is way more than any other shop I have had tires installed at . Ended up having to pay another shop to do the work they were supposed to do . Idk what happened to backing up your work!!! This place definitely does not !!!!

My Experience with Firestone…read more I hate complaining, especially because I'm in the customer-service business myself, but I feel like I need to say something. I took my car to Firestone multiple times for the same issue. After several visits, I was told the problem had been resolved. I was driving to work when my car suddenly died. I popped the hood and noticed that my battery cables were loose. That immediately concerned me. How does something that basic get missed after my vehicle has been serviced multiple times? It also made me question whether everything I was told I needed during those visits was actually necessary. I called the store to express my concerns. I wasn't looking for anything unreasonable--I simply wanted to know why the mechanic missed something that ultimately left me sitting on the side of the road. I was told they would have to ask the mechanic and get back to me. They never did. I then called the 1-800 number. I was told an area manager would contact me. A month went by, and I never heard from anyone. I called again and asked to speak with someone above the area manager. Again, nothing happened. Eventually, after several calls, the area manager finally contacted me. I called him back within 30 minutes, but then days went by. When I finally reached him, I was told he was busy and given a very specific time several days later when he could talk to me. At that point, I was simply exhausted from trying to get someone to address my concerns. So I told him, "This isn't worth my time anymore. I'm done." His response was essentially, "I'm sorry to hear that." And that was it. No real explanation. No attempt to make things right. No effort to understand why I was upset. Eventually, it felt like they simply wore me down until I gave up. I'm not writing this to attack anyone. I'm sharing it because if you use Firestone, be very specific about what you're asking for, keep your paperwork, and write things down. Make sure you understand exactly what work is being done to your vehicle and why. Hopefully, someone else can avoid the frustration I experienced.
