My mom took her car here to get her break pads changed and they put TRANSMISSION FLUID IN HER TIRE. her tire was on fire and if she was on the high way it could have went bad. then they took the car back to fix what the messed up and kept her car for almost a week and told her that they were waiting for a part and every day she calls they keep saying it will be ready tomorrow. this place is a joke and don't know what they are doing. my mother could have died if she was driving on the highway. btw they still have her car and we are on day 4. read more

No Star! I waited over 3 hours to get two tires replaced from 2:00 to 5:30 in the afternoon. Then was told it took so long because my lug nuts were on too tight,... By the time they got it done I paid for it. I went out to start my car and the battery was dead,.. That car would not start. They tried to jump it and they said their jumper box was dead because it wasn't charged properly at a charging port. So he charged me $189 for a new battery,... Because he said my battery was leaking! The The guys kept looking at my trump sticker. I think they sabotaged my battery on purpose! To overly friendliness should have been a red flag! Do not go there on main Street in North Canton. They're scam artists! And they're very good at what they do. So watch out and beware. I do not recommend at all in any way, shape or form!!! My battery had been fine all day long on the day I get new tires all of a sudden my battery goes right outside their shop! Hmmm,.. I'm warning you people do not go to this place! read more

This is awful place. I had nail in the tire. They repaired but the light would not go off on dash board. Guy told me once you drive It will. I drove 5 miles and air is still leaking. took car back and the manager Mark now tells me that i need new tire as I hit the curb and tire is no good after driving for just 5 minutes. My 2005 mustang has an exhaust leak and the section where the pipe bends into the converter needs replaced. A screw which held that section of pipe in place snapped, which is the excuse I was given as to why my car is still not fixed. I was charged $281.14 for labor, but nothing was fixed. Was it really that difficult to put all of my broken parts back? They even had the nerve to ask me when I could bring my car back! Oh yeah sure! Lets take another day off work so you can charge me for labor without fixing the issue, again! They had my car for three days in their shop with no phone calls either, I had to call them to check the status of my car, customer service anyone? Did I mention they had my car for three days, didn't fix the issue, but still charged me for labor even though nothing was fixed? Just wanted that little bit of information to sink in for anyone smart enough to read these reviews before getting ripped off. Lastly, from the information they gave me, I'm pretty sure it was one of their "mechanics" that snapped that screw. It sits in a very particular place. I'm going to file in small claims court tomorrow, I highly suggest anyone with recent issues similar to mine take a second look at your dealings with this place, you just may discover they created secondary issues you paid for. read more

Poor. Had oil changed there and I went to Firestone for next oil change. The mechanic at Firestone said he could not do work because oil plug was either over tightened or crossthreaded. I called Monro and was told that he wouldn't touch it because of work being attempted elsewhere potentially leaving me with an $800 bill to replace oil pan. Never again. read more

The "overly friendly" guy at the counter tried to charge me $80 to take off my lug nuts b/c they were a little swelled and too tight for the lazy mechanic to put one ounce of effort in to take them off. I`ll never return. Scam artist! read more

The worst service ever. They over charged and it was the Manager that did it. Never going again and never recommending.

I don't want to give one star if I could. Personally stopped at the location and made the appointment to install my exhaust tips. I even mentioned the guy how i want to cut the pipes, etc and made the appointment in next 2days. On the appointment day, there was the different guy at the counter. I was told that "they don't install the customer parts". He had no idea why his sale associate did it. I was pretty disappointed because I left my work early for this. I walked in another Monro shop on the Whipple ave. They installed the tips right away and even it was $10 cheaper than I was quoted. This was my first and last time at this location. read more

These guys are great - their Manager Mark is honest, a straight shooter and has always treated me right. Had a issue one time with coolant leaking out of my radiator after Monro did a flush and put in new coolant. Mark had my car towed back in and took care of the issue immediately. My car was in Akron - had it towed back to North Canton. read more

I was taken advantage of pretty bad here. I went for an oil change and to have my muffler looked at. They came back and said I had to replace my serpentine belt and I reluctantly agreed, but for some reason they loosened my tensioner bolt and left it loose, which resulted in it backing out, the tensioner pulley to shift out of place, and thus destroying the brand new serpentine belt. While driving home, I noticed a really loud squeaking. With the serpentine belt not working, my power steering fluid stopped pumping and the power steering went out while driving causing my car to loose control and to go off the road. When I had it towed to them to look at, I told them to just look at it but don't do anything without my authorization. After 30-60 mins after they looked at it, they brought me over to look at it and my tensioner was pushed back into place and the tensioner bolt was broken off inside of the engine block. They denied breaking it even though I had pictures of it not broken hour before. They told me it was not their fault and was Toyota's fault for not recalling a poor design. They said I would have to pay to have them fix it, which would involve un-mounting the engine and partially removing it to to be able to drill the bolt out. I told them to hold off on doing anything because I wanted to investigate their claim. I called and asked a a friend of mine, who is a Toyota service mechanic with 22 years of experience, for his opinion and showed him all the pictures I took before they touched it the second time (without permission, might I add). He said the pictures proved definitively the problem was caused by mechanic error and he had never heard of any problems with the tensioner bolt like they claimed. I brought this Toyota mechanic with me to talk to the manager. The manager said he was currently too busy to talk and that we could wait. Annoying, but willing to wait, we stepped outside to wait and are chatting together for a few minuets when all the sudden 4 cop cars (yes 4) pull up all around us and asked for our ID's. THE MANAGER CALLED THE COPS ON US AND REFUSED TO TALK TO US. After the cops realized what was going on, they told us this was the 4th time this year Monro Muffler has done this to other customers. The cops said it was a very shady practice, but that Monro Muffler calls the cops on customers who have a complaint about the work they do, and the reason for this is the Monro has a policy that if the cops are called, they refused to talk to you or to allow you on the property. When I tried to call their corporate office, they just asked me "are you Mr. Miller?", and I said yes. I was told to never call back and hung up on. So now I am left with my tensioner assembly laying in pieces on the floor of my passenger side seat and looking at $400-$1000 cost to have it fixed and the people responsible for it are refusing to even talk to me. The cops encouraged me to pursue legal action against them because they don't want this kind of shady business practice in their town, but that their hands were tied and it was a matter for the court system. read more
