Turns out I had tire choice do some front end repair work not only did they do a shitty job and I had to have it all redone at my expense another $1600, but I let them do my oil change and they screwed up the oil housing filter with the spring in it, which is now starved my motor from oil which, since I had to get the front end, repaired a second time from a better shop, I am now finding out that because of what they did, they starved my engine for oil and now I have valves ticking all over the place! I would not recommend any of the people that work at that particular tire choice to even change my tire. I will be calling their corporate headquarters in the morning and I will get satisfaction and my engine fixed. read more

So I don't know about other people, but since I am not a mechanic, I always worry that a business is going to feed me line because they know that I won't know that they are being sneaky... Yes it has happened to me before so I am always careful when getting work done on my car. We needed tires, and after doing our research, decided to try Tire Choice Auto Service Centers in Painesville. We dropped off our car on Sunday night so that it would be there on Monday morning when they were ready to work on it. As we were dropping the key into the key slot, we noticed a man working in the shop - he opened the door and introduced himself as Matt, the manager. As we all know, the worker shortage is so hard on businesses right now, so Matt came in on Sunday Night to catch up on things before the crazy Monday rush! Pretty impressive, and he hadn't even worked on our car yet! So Monday comes, I show up to get my car and Matt is there back at it - super busy with cars and deliveries and phone calls!! He took the time to acknowledge me and keep me updated on when my car would be ready. The tires were a bit late in being delivered so I waited maybe an hour for them to finish - no big deal as long as it is done right! And it was! We were happy with the tires and the customer service. I had a l/f tire that needed to be repaired. I went to the closest place to me, which was Conrad's Painesville. I walked and asked how long for a tire repair, it's was 3:30 pm. Without batting an eye, and without even checking what he had going on, the guy at the counter said it would take the rest of the afternoon. I replied with what time does the afternoon end, and he said, 6:30 pm. 3 hours and they didn't look that busy? I drove down the street to Monroe on Mentor Ave and the service manager said sure, we'll get it right in. Even though, he had nearly every bay full, except for one. Matt is the service manager and he is sincere and extremely helpful. He is the guy that I'll be recommending all my friends and family to. I could tell just by talking to him, that he had the type of integrity that I'm looking for! A+ for Matt and his Team! read more

Made an appointment for an oil change with these clowns a good week in advance upon a recommendation from a friend. I took off work early for it, too. I walk in the door and they were swamped. Nowhere to sit in the waiting room. I had to wait awhile because the clerk was on the phone. When he hung up, he begrudgingly asked what I needed. I said yes, I'm here for an oil change and gave him my last name. He looked puzzled. I asked him if I was even in the system for an appointment today. Nope. Nada. Oh, but we can get you in today with about a 2 hour wait. I said OK, how about NO, I'll be taking my business elsewhere and stormed out. So, thanks a lot Monro for wasting my time and thanks "Nolan" for not doing your job in putting me down for an appointment in your system. How frigging hard can it be? This was my second trip there for service. The staff is friendly, they get the job done and the prices are right. They fixed the exhaust on my girlfriends car by welding it back together when everyone else wanted $800 for the part and we're going to just replace it. This trip was just an oil change, replace the fuel filter and check the balance on my tires and I couldn't be happier with how quickly they got it done. Normally I take my van to an area tire chain store for regular vehicle maintenance, i.e. oil changes, tire balancing, rotation & alignment. During my last visit, the tech mentioned that because of the age of the van (13 yrs., 108K miles & OE suspension system) that I should consider replacing the shocks and struts. While I never experienced any excessive bouncing or handling, his comment played in the back of my mind. Fast forward several months, I started hearing rumblings from my exhaust system. Having had a favorable experience with Monro earlier in the year fixing the exhaust system on my Toyota, I decided to take my van into them for the muffler and have them check out the suspension system. The manager, Robert Gaiser, assured me that they found no leakage or need to replace any of the suspension parts, but that I needed a new muffler. Not only do I feel that I got a fair price on the muffler, but I felt that I was treated like a valued customer as Mr. Gaiser was very cordial as he took the time to answer all my questions. Job was completed on time as promised. Would recommend this shop for servicing and car repairs. read more
