The receptionist "Oxonna" at Mr. Tire on Som was a hateful woman. We called at about 8:15 am to make an appointment to put on one tire. They said you don't have to make an appointment but could if I want to . They said I can have any time right away- at 8:30, 9:00, 9:30 ever half hour etc I told her I would come soon~ just up the street so I said 8:30. I ended up getting there by 8:44 The bitter woman told me because I was 15 mins late I would have to wait a couple hours. I said ok. (Even tho There were no other customers and just a couple of cars one being worked on.) The little one and I walked around the neighborhood had breakfast and went to the store etc we came back almost 5 hours later to "pick up the car". She said " Why are you here?" She looked at me crazy then snapped at me -with hate ..." they didn't do anything! I told you that you would have to wait!" I told her it's almost been 5 hours not two, she then snarled at me that she was the manager so "call corporate." So, I went to Midas on Mayfield just down the street and the staff were polite and courteous. They were fast and charged almost half the price. I think this is my first Yelp but I hope Mr. Tire starts to take a look at the faces they put at the register to speak to customers from now on. I brought my car to Mr. Tire in Mayfield, OH on 11/30 for a simple engine oil cap replacement. While there, the technician told me the vehicle needed both front and rear brakes and performed the service. The total cost was about $1,300. I drove the car back to Columbus, and it sat for five days. On December 9th, the brake warning light, traction control light, and power steering warning all came on. We contacted a Mr. Tire location in Columbus and were told they would not inspect or service the car because the work had been done at another Mr. Tire location. The warning lights stayed on, though the brakes still functioned, until 12/29 when the brake pedal went completely to the floor. The car had to be towed back to the Mayfield, OH location. When we asked for a refund or correction for work that clearly was not done properly, we were told that at the time of the original brake job, the technician "did not see anything wrong" with the calipers. Now that the brake light is on, they claim the car needs new calipers for an additional $600. We were also told certain services were completed, yet upon inspection there are screws missing from the engine area, and we are now being told the vehicle needs all new brakes again. This experience has been extremely frustrating and expensive. Please be very careful with this location. I woke up on a Sunday morning with a flat tire with a screw sticking out. So it already wasn't a good morning. I caught around a few places, not to my surprise that they weren't open or available to take me in. I called Mr. tire and got a hold of the customer service department not the actual store. They scheduled an appointment for within the hour at 12. I even got the email confirmation and a text message confirming the appointment. Once I got there, I was told my appointment was at 1 PM the very next day. Even though I had confirmation in the text message that it was at that time I was already there. I was told I could drop it off and they might be able to get to it. I wasn't upset with the store or the people working the store. My beef is with corporate and customer service and the poor customer service. This is just a prime example of how everything needs to go back to small business and not big corporations. I called back to file a complaint at the one 800 number just to be disconnected 1 million times. I caught a small local repair shop right down the road from the parking lot at Mr. tire who gladly took me in right at that moment. I wasn't impatient. I scheduled an appointment and I'm OK with waiting. It's a Sunday. But to be given an appointment and then to show up while I'm driving on a tire with a screw in it that's a problem. read more

On Monday, Oct 20 2025, I called ahead and made an appointment for 2pm to have my tire valves changed because the caps were froze on. The car was dropped off at 1:30pm. I explained to the girl at reception that the caps were stuck and the valve stems would probably need to be replaced. About 2:30 pm, I got a call saying they were looking at the car and the caps were frozen necessitating the valve stems being replaced at a cost of $65. I agreed to the price and asked that they go ahead and replace all 4 valve stems. I called back around 5:45 to enquire about my car. The receptionist said she would check and left me hanging on the line for 20 mins. I had to call back. When I finally got through again, I was told they were working on the car ( I was told it was in the shop and the tires were off already), but the car would not be ready before they closed at 7pm. It seems excessive to me that it would take 4 1/2 hours to change 4 valve stems at a place called Mr Tire. Changing tire valve stems should be a routine job at a tire specialist. I was told the car wouldn't be ready until the next day, and I could not even get an estimate of when it would be finished. Very frustrating! They open at 7 am, so I waited until 9am to call and ask when my car would be ready, I was told they would call me when it was done and that it was being worked on at the moment. Still no estimate of when it will be ready. I explained to the girl the night before that I took time off work to drop the car in and not having it finished that day meant I had to miss more work/pay. The staff were indifferent to this. I was finally informed just before 11am, Tuesday Oct 21st, that the car was ready. Why is a routine tire repair taking more than 8 hours to complete at this Mr Tire location? I feel that they are not being truthful about the car being worked on and just stringing me along. Why the dishonesty? If they were too busy to complete a routine job like this, why give me an appointment time in the first place? Why wasn't I informed that they would not have time to finish the tires that day when I initially got the call to say they needed to be replaced? This is just common courtesy stuff and good customer service practices.The staff are at best apathetic and have no respect for the value of a customer's time at all. After about 12 years of bringing my vehicles here I will no longer use them for any service needs. Delays like this for a routine repair coupled with the apathetic staff and poor customer service are just unacceptable to me. I would not recommend this Mr Tire location to anyone for any job. Even routine tire repairs take an excessively long amount of time to complete. read more

I never received a call or anything to get updated on my cars progress, every time I contacted the store I had to initiate the conversation. Store Manager, Don, was very disrespectful. We had to bring my car in multiple times for the same issue, they had my car for over a month without any transportation to work or anywhere. We brought up our concerns and were promised help with a different issue on the car, then when we got there to pick up the car they said they didn't fix the other issue and weren't going to. I find this repulsive, he went back on his word and got in the face of my sister that was with me. We tried to get a refund for all the issues we had but Don then said we couldn't get any money back. Again, Don was very disrespectful and rude to me and my sisters that came with me. He even got in her face when she was calmly taking to him. He claimed she interrupted him and then got in her face to shut her up which an employee should never do to a customer. On the phone we were hung upon and when we walked in the store there was immediately an issue and the fighting started instantly. Don was not understanding at all, a different employee tried to step in to help and Don told him to step away when he was trying to see our side and resolve everything calmly while Don was screaming and making very rude comments. I had to bring my car back 5 times before I finally got fed up and had themstop trying to fix the issue they obviously weren't capable of fixing. They shouldn't have agreed to fix the car and take thousands of my dollars just for me to have to bring my car back and forth for over 2 months without a fix. They also stained my seats and gave me my car back without, them saying anything about it or acknowledging the damage they caused to my car. I then had to take it back another time for them to attempt to get the stains out of my car which never came out... Again, I spent thousands of dollars to get my car fixed which still hasn't happened 2 months later... Took months to get my car back. They took my money after the first time they said they fixed it. Four days later my heat went out again, my car still isn't fixed and it's been months now and I haven't received and bit of my money back without is terrible customer service. This type of service is unacceptable and I don't not recommend anyone using this shop for their car issues unless they want to be out of money for months without a car that is still broken. This really messed up my view on how a business is supposed to treat a customer, they always say the customer is right which in some instances that isn't right but the disrespect I felt trying to innocently get my money back without absolutely repulsive. read more

I came to this place early like around 7am with a flat in 14 degrees with my kids in the car the worker told me I had to have a appointment he act like he was mad that I was there early and when he saw me he took his time opening the door never told me good morning. I filled out a web form stating I needed an oil change, tire rotation, and that I needed them to check a tire that was leaking air. They changed my oil and said they found no leak in the tire. After another few days of driving, the same tire lost air. So not only did they miss the NAIL that was indeed in my tire and found by my dealer, but they also clearly didn't rotate the tires. The final straw was the greasy black footprint left on my nice gray car mat. They should put paper down on the floors before they get in the car with dirty shoes. There's no excuse for this happening. I'm also going to mention that I witnessed a very rude altercation between the manager and a lady customer who was in the waiting area. I don't know the details of the argument, but I was uncomfortable by how rude he was and how he treated her. No excuse for that either. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with this place. If you go and deal with Andy, you are going to have a good day. He's honest, reliable, and understanding. There is another manager there, a younger guy who is rude, condescending, and incredibly unpleasant to deal with -- and worse yet, doesn't get the job done right. Mostly because he doesn't pay attention to details or simply doesn't bother to listen Two examples: 1) We took a care in for an oil change and an exhaust. We get a call two days later saying the car is done. Yes, the oil change was done but the exhaust wasn't touched. Two business days to change the oil? Wow! Had to take it back to have the exhaust work done. To Andy's credit he did some take $$ off the exhaust work to try to make it right, 2) My son took his car in for replacement of transmission sensors. Just going to drop off and knew they wouldn't get to it immediately. Young guy barks. We don't do transmission work and you don't have an appointment anyway. Son, annoyed about it pushes the door open hard to leave. He walks a few steps and then turns to apologize for pushing the door and sees the manager giving him the finger. He gets to his car and turns to see manager still giving him the finger standing in the doorway. How much different it might have been to say: "We don't really do transmission work, but I can recommend...." Currently, the car is being worked on by Mr. Tire's competition down the road who were happy to get the car in after hearing this story. Sad to me as we've done a few thousands dollars worth of work with Mr. Tire over the past couple years. As they say, you gain trust and good will by the drop and lose it by the bucket. I originally called to order some new tires and was told they would get them in by the end of the week so I went ahead and made the appt. Called them the day of the appointment saying I had a 1pm appt and wanted to make sure the tires were delivered and was told yes so come on over. When I got there, turns out my appt was at 2 pm but they never corrected me when I called. So I decided to wait and an hour later they bring my car back and turns out only one of the four tires was delivered and the remaining three are back ordered with no estimated time frame. They said they would try to hunt some down and call me back but no call after a week so I went ahead and ordered a set through TireRack.com and had them delivered to the shop a few days later. I figure I would give them a chance for the install so scheduled an appt for noon and dropped off my car early. Was told the first time it takes about an hour to get new tires on but my car wasn't done until 4:15 which was actually after their closing time on Saturday. They said they would stay open until people could pick up their cars but I just picked it up the next day. Overall I was disappointed across the board with the customer service/poor communication and inability to do their primary function of putting tires on a car in a timely fashion. Given the choice, I would recommend picking a different shop for your tire needs. read more

I dropped a vehicle off with 5 repair concerns. I called back a couple of hours later to inquire if the vehicle would be ready today at any point. My call was answered by Tavion who was very rude and unprofessional. He told me that the oil change had been done and I could pick the car up if I wanted but that the check engine light was still on. I replied that I didn't want to pick the car up without the other issues having been addressed and I asked if the car would be ready today to be picked up. He continued to repeat himself twice more. I asked if there was someone else that I could speak with since there was obviously a disconnect between him and myself. He then identified himself as the manager and suggested that if I wanted to speak to someone else that I could call corporate. I told him that I would take that suggestion and to please provide the phone number. He told me that I could find it online. This guys's attitude is extremely disrespectful and not customer centric to say the least. The fact that he is the manager is laughable. I noticed a sign at the store asking to rate several employees and that store 5 stars. After that experience, I would rate it -10 stars. I am on hold now waiting to share this poor experience with corporate as I am writing this review. I have visited that store on several other occasions and I noticed that his attitude in person was also not very pleasant or friendly. There is a woman who worked there who was very polite and helpful when I was there the last time and I am wondering how Tavion is the manager and not her? Tavion has an attitude that he couldn't care less about your car or experience. If you don't like your job, or the customers who contribute to your ability to earn a living by doing business with that company.... why work there? My experience with requesting a replacement of tie rods and alignment today was outstanding. If you're looking to get maintenance on your car done this is NOT the place to go, if you're looking for an example of the effects fetal alcohol syndrome has on automotive techs you've found the PERFECT place. I was quoted $1000 for ball joints stabilizer links and tie rods and when I said I only needed tie rods they claimed in order to align my car those other parts were necessary when my car in fact only can be aligned through the tow method which has absolutely no necessity for ball joints or stabilizer links, wether the techs are ignorant or liars do not spend your money here for a lower pricer, quality work, and kinder service head to NTB down the street next to sheets. read more

I said no and before I could speak, the jerk began his speech about how I can't just walk in and they are very busy bla bla bla. I was using Mr. Tire on 6680 Mayfield Rd. for many years. With the new tires purchased from them, it was offered a free tire rotation until I own the same vehicle. So, 2 times a year I was getting free tires rotations. My last appointment was scheduled for Saturday, July 1, 2023 At first, I was informed that I must pay for rotations. I explained that it was supposed to be free of charge. The receptionist called the manager, and he informed me that it is nothing for free at this location anymore. And he fired previous manager Andrew because he was not supposed to support the company's advertising free tire rotation with the tires purchase. And he added that he could not find the date when I purchased new tires from them. I replied that I am not responsible for their records and warranties info keeping on their computers. And since he still could see the records of my free tires' rotation 2 times per each of the resent years, I expect the service to be done. The manager agreed that he will do it, but I must wait for 2 hours. I requested my car key in order to get back home to find the invoice for tires purchase, but was told, that after I come back, I will again wait for another 2 hours. So, I stayed. After more than 1 hour, he suddenly, without checking my tires, gave me the car key and said he is not going to do tire rotation because it will not help, and he wanted me to buy new tires instead. So, I spent my day off for nothing. From the beginning it was clear that he will find any reason to not do the rotation. The previous manager Andrew was professional and courteous. And the advertisement with promotions was from the corporation, and not his personal desire. The new manager's rude behavior, disrespect of customers and not fulfilling his company's obligations will not give the company more revenue but will turn away all loyal customers. My next new tire purchase will not be from Mr. Tire ever again with promotional offers or not. So, people, be aware of Mr. Tire's "advertising" and the way of doing business in general. read more

Brought in two vehicles. One needed a patch for a tire that retained a screw. Fixed for free in about 30 minutes. My Kia needed new tires and brakes. Vehicle was kept overnight. After initial inspection, Andrew called me later that morning. Job was finished later that evening. Very professional and courteous staff. Recently had two pretty good experiences at Mr Tire. I had new tires put on one week, and then two weeks later they fixed a ratting exhaust problem that was driving me insane. The tires were expensive (ish) but all tires are. The rattling they fixed within an hour and with parts and labor it was only $100. I was happy with that. I had some other experiences w other places recently that were frustrating, so I was happy to have this experience at Mr Tire. read more

just now It was more than just obvious that the service center was working for the insurance company when they falsified a diagnostics report to satisfy the needs of the Geico adjuster. Then on top of all that, they insult my intelligence as well as tack on a extra hour of work they had 7 metclaimed to do all the while holding car hostage... not speculating on why but another question.... who here ever paid over 2 hundred for a wrong diagnostic? I was driving down the road and got a flat tire. I switched out the spare and a few days later was looking for a place to bring my wheel/tire. A co-worker informed me that Mr Tire has a coupon on their website for a 'Free Flat Tire Repair*'. I was quick to print off the coupon and head out the door to the local Mr Tire. Upon arriving I asked about the coupon and if they would accept it. They told me yes but that there would be a $10 balancing fee because they must remove the tire and remount/balance it. Fine. $10 is a great price for a tire plug. I left my tire with them for the day. I received a call later that it was not the tire but rather my TPMS sensor. The employee on the phone informed me he lowered the shop fees as low as possible to help me out with the cost as it was going to be over $140. He asked their technician what happened and they told me that over time these things just go bad. That's where I started to question what was going on... I have owned multiple vehicles with TPMS sensors and never had one go bad. That is not to say that its impossible, though! However, the way that he described what went wrong... "weather and etc wear out the seals and they have to be replaced". The car was only one year old and had less than 16,000 miles on it. I decided to take the wheel/tire to the dealer since if it was the TPMS sensor it should be covered under warranty. Here is what they found: The tire just needed some bead sealant. They re-mounted it, sealed it, and I was on my way. No need to spend any money on a new TPMS sensor. Your Mileage May Vary but I will not return. read more

They confirmed my suspicions of the bs I got from Ganly Subaru and told me what was the most immediate concern which confirmed what I thought- tires and filter replacements. Ganley subaru had me thinking my car was at deaths door. When I showed Andy and the mechanic here at my tire What Ganley Subaru told me, they told me "no big deal, it will need to get done eventually, but not right now" all I want is a no bs service center to tell me what is pressing, but also what is coming down the pike but not immediate. As a resident of the DC metro area, I am thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, technical knowledge and HONESTY of this shop. I visit Cleveland regularly to see family and consistently have my car serviced here. I was there today; due to a schedule constraint, I originally decided to take my car to an "quick-lube" shop for a quick oil change. When the quick-lube shop told me that I had an issue of which they were not prepared to handle, I went to Mr Tire and both the Mr Tire manager and the Mr Tire mechanic walked me through the proposed issue with my car and showed me the inaccuracy of the quick-lube shop's diagnosis. Mt Tire fixed my issue and I was back on the road in 30 minutes. They were extremely transparent and friendly 100% of the time. I've taken my car to Mr. Tire in Mayfield Hts twice in the past year. The first time was to repair a tire leak that the dealership couldn't find. The second time was to repair another slow leak. I brought in a used car that I was looking into to buying and I asked them to run a thorough diagnostic check and look for anything concerning. They took the time to carefully inspect the car and explained to me all the details of the status of the car, showing me all the parts and areas that they were looking at, and breaking it down in a way that was easy to understand. They even took the time to drive the car around to assess the condition and then sat me down to discuss their findings and even their personal feelings about it, considering what they would do if they were looking to buy the car. Andrew was thorough and helped me coordinate with Michelin, since the tires were under warranty. Andrew and his team stuck to the stated timeline and price estimate. Aside from the excellent service I received, I was especially impressed by how they treated all of their customers. Despite being busy, they ensured that the concerns of everyone who walked in were addressed. It didn't matter how minor the issue was, this team resolved it with courtesy and promptness. I am forever grateful to the guys at this Mr. Tire location for saving my butt! I came in on 4/25/16 with an overheating engine and something wrong with my thermostat gasket (or something...I don't even know...I know NOTHING about cars!) and to make matters worse, a 13 month-old in tow. I explained how I obviously needed something fixed ASAP so I could cart around this precious cargo. They very graciously, on what I could tell was a busy day, took my car in and fixed it in record time. Their pricing was very fair and I knew I was working with honest people. The customer service is poor. I got two tires which a free alignment check come with it and the guy Andre ask me if i want it check. Well yes if im buying two new tires and its free with the service. Also, I waiting two hours just to get tires put on my truck and i made an appointment in advance. Service Fair. I was better off going to somewhere else and spent the extra money. read more
