Yelp I want to stress to you -PLEASE FIX THIS BUSINESS ASAP. There is a fake scammers phone number and website attached to this business. I went to the actual business today to meet the REAL people and they truly are great at what they do. They were thankful for me bringing up this issue and are looking into it. I was fraudulently scammed out of $30 and I heard of another customer who nearly lost $1000 to a scammer. I repeat - PLEASE YELP FIX THIS PAGE SO PEOPLE DONT SUPPORT THIS SCAMMER PRETENDING TO BE THE BUSINESS. Here's what happened in my situation. I called them for an appointment as they were listed as open on here 24/7. They said they are taking appointments remotely where they drive to your house to repair your tires. After calling them they wanted $30 upfront for a tire repair work, and my zelle account showed that it was not a real name. But I proceeded to authorize the transaction. After this I haven't heard anything regarding the agent being on his way for a repair. I just called my bank to cancel the transaction. But everything so far makes me think this number is fraudulent. read more

And often they tell me that I don't need to change the tires or do the brakes for another 10,000 miles and come back and see them then. Not only did I get my complimentary tire rotation (tire purchasers qualify in spades) but got a decent price on a new battery for my aging SUV. I'm pretty impressed by my first visit to Tire Connections. I'd driven by it a lot, they're close to home, but I haven't needed new tires in awhile, my car is only three years old. But the time came when I did need new tires, and while I feel like the dealership I bought my car from is slightly above average, I suspected I was still paying too much and waiting too long. So I stopped in here a bit after 9 a.m. and I was home by 9:40. Wow, that was fast. Tony helped me out and he was friendly, polite, and super helpful. He looked up some good tire options, we settled on one, and he gave me the total price, out the door, good to go. I gave the OK, and they took my car right in. The waiting room is definitely kind of old-school, but comfortable - there are a few chairs, a table, a coffeemaker, magazines, some coloring books, and a fridge stocked with water and beer (and not crap, either - I saw Blue Moon, North Coast and some other craftier options). I believe they have wifi, though I didn't personally log in. Also: they are a full-service shop, not just tires, so if you need brakes or oil changes or whatever, they do that too. I'd barely settled in to read the paper when Tony called me back up to pay - gave me warranty/road hazard paperwork, a number to call if I ever need a tow, and a discount for being a new customer! So yes, color me impressed by their speed and customer service. I shouldn't need any more tires for awhile, but when I do need something, I do believe I'll be back. read more

I've been to Tire Connections twice. The first one, I had a tire patched. Customer service was fast & courteous with a very reasonable fee. No problem with it afterwards. Then today they installed a new tire for me. Again, Mike the owner took care of my concerns & put me at ease with his advice. The guys who work there are also polite & did a great job. I found Tire Connections by accident while I was trying to find a different tire repair place and was definitely happy with the service I got. I had a screw embedded in my front tire and just needed it removed and patched before it went flat. The folks at Tire Connections were nice, quick and considerate. They were able to bring the car right into the garage even though I just wandered in around lunch time. While I waited at the comfortable table in the waiting area, the man at the front desk offered me a glass of ice water-- a kind gesture, especially as it was 90 degrees outside. A few moments later, he came by to let me know that the pressure was off in my tires and that they would adjust that for me. All in all, the tire fix and the pressure adjustment took just long enough for me to skim two sections of the day's Chicago Tribune and cost about the price of the hardcover book I had expected to need during the wait. read more

Was one of the only places in the area that could help me get a spare tire at the moment. Went in to get used tire and the gentleman who was helping me informed me that he was not 100% satisfied with the tire that he gave me and that I should return a few days later and get a new one. I admire his honesty and went back to get another tire, the only problem is that they put they wrong size tire on!!!! When I called to inform them the person on the other end of the line laughed. Im not sure what was funny but giving someone the wrong tire is not funny at all and extremely dangerous. I have been bringing cars here for years that needed everything from a patched tire to a complete engine swap. They are always helpful, nice, and knowledgeable. It has a great atmosphere and you might even get to play with the owners dog in the waiting room! They always give good prices but even more importantly have always been 100% honest. Just last year my engine light went on and after bringing in my car, (to my embarrassment) they told me the gas cap was too loose. If there was ever an opportunity to come up with bogus charges that was it, but because of their honesty and service I always make sure to recommend this shop to my friends and family. They are very thorough and knowledgeable, which I found refreshing since it seems as though you go somewhere else, you're lucky if the person working under the hood knows anything. Mike: $1000.00 ACTUAL COST TO GET BACK ON ROAD: $147.00 PARTS AND LABOR INCLUDED. Took car to a more reliable shop. Here's an itemized list of all costs and comparison. Important to note since this place is a tire store - that even the tires Mike Cork quoted were the wrong tires!!! Here ya go: Mike: $1000 the rear tires are bad" Reliable shop: The right side tires are bad, but not enough to replace yet. Mike: You have 1 ball joint that's bad Reliable Shop: All the ball joints are fine. No replacement needed. Mike: You needed a new starter. (he had already replaced this without my knowledge and never owned up to it - see below) Reliable shop: You car starts fine. She started right up, no problem. She doesn't need a starter. I don't know why that other guy told you that. Mike: Both left & right inner and outer tie rods need to be replaced. Reliable Shop: Just the left inner is needed to get you back on the road. Note to Mike: I hope your ears are still ringing from me screaming at you, you fraudulent piece of ***** !!!!! __Original post 1/10/14___ Had my car towed here when my car almost went off the road with a broken tie rod. When I called to find out if they had even looked at the car yet, Mike Cork told me it needed a starter. I asked about the suspension. He said he thought it was a "no-start". After verifying my name and car info, he stated that he would have to recheck the car - he "got confused". How do you confuse a starter with a tie rod, Mike?! I had to keep calling because he never took the initiative to let me know what was going on with my car, then discovered he was lying and covering up what he was doing - taking the front end a part for things it didn't need! Then he quotes me $1200. He decided to throw in a couple tires to charge me as well. I didn't take it for tires Mike! Now I know why he quoted $1200. He had replaced the starter before I even called the first time, never had authorization to do ANY work, and when I called to tell them that I was getting the car towed out of there, they did a made scramble to replace the new part with the old part before the tow driver got there. I found out from the tow driver that they were "still working on the car". I called my roadside service AAA, and the woman documented everything and then called Mike. He stated to her that he wouldn't able to get to the work for 10 days, but then also told her he was "putting the front end back together." She documented that as well. Finally got my vehicle out this hell hole - and will update when my car gets checked out to make sure he didn't further destroy my car. In which case, there will be a lawsuit filed. read more

8/39/2011 stopped in this morning and asked how much to replace the front pads on my car I had bought the pads and was going to install myself, but what the heck I didn't feel like it. The old codger behind the counter says, " do it yourself, it's easy." I asked how much for them to install them? He says $180. That's about $100 over priced. This place is rude and crude.
