I mentioned it was important I get the car back by Monday morning for work and they said it would be done by Friday. 8am Monday comes around, no phone call last week, the weekend, I call they said they didn't know i needed it Monday morning, they are just starting it. They said no one told them that.. I then have to take off work. I get a phone call at 10:40am about the results, I need a new EVAP canister PURGE per code, which I received too on my device. Then over $900 for only my front brakes. I just say yes at this point because I have work at 5:30am the next morning and need my truck. I got to pickup my truck at 2pm, the guy at the front desk asks me about my display how it's not working. I thought that was odd, I go to my truck and now my radio screen/display will not light up or display. I asked what happened the other guy Mike starts yelling at me when I asked how can I leave it with you guys, you clear codes, and now my display won't work. He did try and do a few things but acted like he didn't know about it, but the other guy did? Very suspicious. Didn't want any ownership, yelled at me for it not being his fault. I now have no AC because I can't access my display on the hottest week of the year so far and they offered no resolution or offered to take it back in to try and fix the issue.. I had work done by them last year when I moved out here, I trusted them. I thought I had a local, reliable mechanic like I did where I'm from, but I see now that they're unfortunately just like all the rest. I'd pay their prices for a good experience and trustworthiness, but that is gone. I would recommend shopping around mechanics so the same experience doesn't happen to you.

Extremely Disappointing Experience…read more I took my vehicle to A-Team Tire & Auto on Joliet Road because my A/C was working on and off, sometimes blowing hot air, and the A/C fan was making a loud, unusual noise. What followed was a nightmare. I went back four times and spent almost $1,400, yet the loud fan noise I originally complained about was never properly addressed. I eventually had to take my vehicle to the dealership and spend another $250. What made the situation even more frustrating was that when I brought the dealership receipt back to the owner, the original complaint about the loud noise was nowhere on A-Team's invoice. I clearly mentioned the noise from the beginning, the manager heard me describe it, and even commented on the issue. For that complaint to somehow not appear on the paperwork afterward seems pretty fishy to me. A few weeks later, I also noticed that my dashboard A/C vents were damaged. When I brought this up, I was told by the manager" They wouldn't have had any reason to mess with the vents." Pretty interesting to me how you wouldn't have a reason to mess with my vents, when the whole reason for being there was no ac/ ents blowing hot air and noise coming from fan... And after all of that, the A/C isn't even blowing cold. After four trips, nearly $1,400 spent at this shop, another $250 at the dealership, and all the frustration I've dealt with, I still don't have an A/C system that works properly. I'm extremely disappointed with both the service and the lack of accountability. Based on my experience, I would absolutely not recommend this shop.

I recently brought my car in for routine maintenance (an oil change). Immediately after picking it up, I noticed a message on my dashboard: "No navigation module connected." This system worked perfectly before my visit and is something I use daily. I mentioned it right away, and a staff member showed me the navigation module located in the glove compartment (something I had never needed to access before). He briefly handled it and then told me it "wasn't working." That didn't sit right with me. When I got home, my husband took a closer look and discovered that the SD card inside the navigation module was missing. We ended up purchasing a replacement ourselves, but even after installing it, the system still does not work. At this point, the only reasonable conclusion is that something happened to the navigation module during service. Whether it was removed, swapped, or mishandled, the fact that a key component was missing and not disclosed is extremely concerning. What's most upsetting is the lack of accountability. Instead of acknowledging the issue, it was brushed off. I brought my car in for a simple oil change and left with a non-functioning navigation system.
