I went to this place today because I had a nail in my tire. They were quick fast and efficient.

Like a breath of fresh air to find mechanics who can do the job right and fast and who won't gouge you in the process. I gave up on the Mini dealership which took two and a half hours (!) to mount a single tire last time and swung by Tire Express with two tires I bought online. From driving up to driving away, I was there maybe 15 minutes, tops, and it cost less than the dealership charges for the same service. What's not to like? Admittedly, they don't have a posh waiting room -- or any waiting room, for that matter -- but I needed tires mounted, not a cup of coffee. The folks there did tell me they will order new name-brand tires and can generally have them at the shop within 24 hours, so I'll probably go that route next time I need new tires to support the local business. I suspect most folks assume they only sell used tires, but they told me that wasn't the case, even though it's a common misperception. Wow, they had exactly the tire I needed (after hitting a shard of stone sticking out of a curb in DC) and they had it on in ten minutes. Pricing is in round numbers, $80 for an almost new tire (not the idiotic prices like $79.97 that insult your intelligence at other places). I can't recommend this business enough. I needed two tires replaced and all of the other tire shops required a three day notice for an appointment and told me it would take 2 hours. Very fast and friendly! I went there on a Sunday at 10:15AM (I had punctured my tire on Saturday night and needed a replacement before Monday). Even though I was the 4th car in line, I was still able to get in and out within 35 minutes. Very fast and friendly. Great location. Only downside of my one-time, Sunday morning experience: I was uncomfortable with not being provided a diagnosis and cost estimate until I was the 3rd car in line. Processing cars one at a time (cost estimate at 3rd car, worked on at 2nd/1st car) has tremendous advantages in speed and accuracy, but someone could be boxed in by another car before they received their diagnosis and cost estimate. Paid $80 for a used tire and it burst to shreds two weeks later on I-295 in a spectacular fashion. Everyone was ok and I quickly replaced the tire with my spare. They did give me a jump for my car for $10 bucks one day (are they not merciful?) - so one extra dimly lit star for that. Simply put - Go to the burbs for tires where you can at least be guaranteed consistent quality and low prices. read more

Great fast service! The business is called Tire Express and let me emphasize on express. Truly a lifesaver! I found this place on yelp and saw from another review they had a BMW too. Kinda wished I went to this place sooner. I hit a pothole on the beltway on my way to falls church, va. I was able to drive about 10 miles before for tpms came on and the car started to become shaky. Got out and inspected the tire and noticed the hole on the sidewall. Normally, I would be able to drive up to 50 miles on these run flat tires, but not with a damage sidewall. I quickly began calling shops in the Falls Church, VA area most of which were closed or didn't have the tire. One shop I went to was about to close but turned me away saying they were closed already. Fast forward three hours later I found Tire Express. Called them and asked if they had the tire. The guy said he had plenty and even had used tires. He couldn't say the price over the phone and I had to come in. I took a chance and did so. Glad I did because I got a great deal on an used tire. I just needed something to get me back on the road and home which was about 60 miles away. Therefore I can replace my damaged tire which was under warranty the next day at my local shop. These guys saved my life! As most shops were closed they were open. When most shops didn't have my tire, they had plenty. I am now writing this review in the comfort of my home thanks to Tire Express Inc. Came here about 6 months ago to change a flat, they charged me $45 for a used tire. Later, I find out it was the WRONG SIZE, and took it back to be replaced, now the price was $60. Months later I get another flat (thanks DC) and came back and now the price was $75. I asked to speak with the manager and the guy says he's the owner (not true since I had spoken with him regarding the last 2 incidents) so I call the store as I'm sitting outside, the lady who answers basically says she's the owner but if I have a problem they're "busy now" and legit hangs the phone up. Lesson learned, they change their prices in accordance with the stock market in this dump. I'm sure by tomorrow it'll be $100 for a tire the guy in front you just replaced. Was traveling out of DC North on a recent Sunday morning and realized I had a leak in one of my tires. The leak worsened by the minute - so I frantically looked at Yelp for a geographically close and well reviewed Tire business by Yelp. I pulled into Tire Express and they were wonderful. They were very friendly and extremely helpful and reasonable on what they charged for the repair. I was in a bad spot and I could have been easily taken advantage of by a business (e.g. unnecessarily sell me one or more new tires) - however they repaired the tire quickly and got me back on my way. DO. NOT. BRING. YOUR. CAR. HERE!!!!! I would give them 0 stars if it were possible. I went here in late August 2017 in a pinch because my tire popped on a curb heading into a roundabout (lookin at you, sharp DC curbs) and I didn't want to be riding around on my spare for too long. The guys at this tire shop were 1. Sketchy as all get out and 2. Did not do a great job explaining to me what my options were regarding my tire. They only said I could get a used tire or a new tire and I wanted to be sure that if I got a used tire the tread would be about the same as the other three tires (so when the time came for new tires, they were all worn about the same). After a failed attempt of explaining that logic, I reasoned that I'd rather have a new tire since the car was a 2016 and I didn't necessarily trust buying a used tire from this place. I am now sitting in another tire shop a few states away because the "new" tire they sold me for $90 HAD ALREADY BEEN PLUGGED TWICE!! This tire all of a sudden began drastically deflating on my 10 hour drive and as the auto tech here showed me, this "new" tire I bought was far from new and I had been scammed. Again, DO. NOT. BRING. YOUR. BUSINESS. HERE!!!!!! Finding reputable and trustworthy businesses can already be a challenge in the first place, so let me help you now and tell you that I've got proof that this place sucks. The lady that works as the receptionist is the most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with in my life. I called the shop and asked her to check on a tire for me. She asked me to call back in 10 minutes and she would be able to tell me. I callback in 10 minutes and ask her if they have a used tire available in P245 50R17 and she says, "yes we have plenty". I asked if she was sure and she yes I saw multiple. I asked her how much and she said she couldn't tell me over the phone. So I get in the car and travel to the shop. When I arrive I tell the guy what size tire I need and he says they only have one used tire after the lady just told me there were multiple used tires in my size. So I finally decide to get the new tire they say they have and guess what... They don't have any tires in my size. So the lazy lady that works at the front desk needs to be written up at the least. But she really needs to get fired because she is bad for business. Her lying only wasted my time. DONT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! You might travel all the way there only to be told they don't have it after they said they did and just checked. They deserve 0 stars! Smh read more

These guys are amazing. I went last night to see a concert at Echstage and hit a median and burst my two left tires. I got a tow and they were just a mile down the road. It was my first time truly driving in DC with just a friend and I was completely nervous and stressed out. The staff was so friendly and comforting. They could tell I was upset, and for being just 23, knew I probably hadn't gone through this before. They had me in and out in 20 mins. I had an okay experience the first time I went to them after getting a flat at night. Bought a used tire for $50 and was in and out quickly. However, my second experience a few weeks later was awful. While getting repairs at a service station in Virginia, a repairman noted that I would need a safety inspection soon and suggested my two front tires might need replacing. The tire I bought at Tire Express was the front passenger tire. I decided to go back to Tire Express to get the front driver side tire replaced, at which time I also brought up the repairman's comments re the two front tires. The guy at Tire Express said the tire he sold me was good. I said fine, no problem, but that I did need a tire for the driver side. Astonishingly, he refused to sell me the tire! He did seem to be very offended that someone had questioned the quality of his product (passenger side tire). Did that have something to do with it? In any event, it seemed very unprofessional (and possibly illegal) for him to deny me service for no discernible good reason. I didn't get his name, but he did tell me that he was the manager. I went there after work, about 6:30-7 pm. I will never return to Tire Express. read more
