What a terrible experience! Starting with the person at the front desk. Extremely rude, yelling and swearing, dropping f-bombs. She was talking to us while being on the phone. Being extremely impatient and distracted. We wanted to drop our car off for repairs but she started yelling at us that we can't leave the premise because they have no parking to park our car and we have to wait on premise. Great, kind, quick service with a dangerous and crucial mistake I'll break this review into two parts. The first part will be about my experience getting serviced by Clarendon Tire, and the second part will be about what resulted. Service experience itself was great. I had noticed a slow leak in my top left tire this past week. At first, I thought it could wait for my regular mechanic to see, but I decided to get it checked ASAP at Clarendon Tire. If it was a nail, maybe it could be patched. I called ahead of time in the morning, and the woman on the phone let me know to bring it by that day before 4, or else maybe it would be too busy. Sure enough, I show up at 3:45, it's getting busy, but they make an effort to take my car in immediately. The mechanic gets to work checking the tire, and the woman behind the desk lets me know a patch fix takes about 40 min and $60, reasonable to me. I go to the bathroom, and by the time I'm out, they flag me down and show me my wheel--no nail, but in fact a small crack near the edge on the inside of the wheel. I really appreciate that they worked so quickly and saved me from preemptively buying a new tire for a non-tire problem. They gave me good suggestions for nearby places that could fix the wheel if I didn't want to replace, and they didn't charge me for their service. I gave the mechanic a $40 tip for his quick and helpful work, and he offered to fill my tire air up before getting going. Overall, very positive experience, and I would have happily returned any time I had tire trouble. 5 star visit, so why the 2 stars overall? Didn't drive for a couple days after, but before I left for work, I went to check my tire pressure to see how much I should fill up to for the day. My tire pressure was more than 60psi. The tire mechanic filled my front left tire up to more than 60psi. Most consumer vehicle tires are rated for around 30psi. My tire pressure meter only goes up to 60, but it stayed at 60 for a while when I was letting air out of the tire. This is insanely high, and dangerous to drive on--my friends exclaimed they're surprised my tire didn't pop on my way home. I would hope that tire mechanics would know the right psi range to fill up a front tire. Instead, I think he filled it up as high as possible or kind of without looking, and it could have caused a really dangerous accident, and cost me a lot of money. The psi is clearly marked in the driver-side door, and I'll need for this place to read that number before filling up tires. Until then, I will not be taking my car here again out of precaution. read more

Came here to replace 4 tires after one blew out. I don't remember who serviced me but the customer service was excellent. Not only did I get all new tires, the tire pressure gauge that lit up on my car finally disappeared, which has been a long time issue ever since I added a auto start, and even the dealer couldn't figure it out and wouldn't touch it. They even pumped up my spare and put it back in the trunk. The only thing that would of been better would be if they had a catalogue of tires to review rather then just pushing tires that were on sale. Come back in a day or two I Showed up on Wednesday at 8 am, and the tires weren't there; they would need to order them(?). At 3 pm, I received a phone call that the tires would be there at 5 pm, so I asked if I could come at 8 am the next day. My check tire light had been on for maybe a few weeks but I pushed aside since things seemed fine. I had a doctors appointment near by and found this little shop that could check my tires for me. They were super sweet upon arrival. Outstanding g service and explained everything to me that was going on and what was done. They educated me on how to check when I need to change my tires, were really respectful, and genuinely a nice group of guys. They were personal and admitted mechanics don't have the best rep but were here for us and I wholeheartedly believe them. They all were introduced to me and they asked about how much I drove to get an idea of how much life my tires had left in them. All this to say.... I highly recommend going to this tire shop. After reading so many awful reviews of Mr. Tire in Arlington, I followed the advice of others to Dominion Tire nearby. I couldn't have been more pleased. The new tire store showed me how it had incorrectly been patched previously. Major hazard, which put me in danger. After asking me a few questions, they said, "yes, come on by". They were great about assisting with my budget (of course this happened the week of Christmas). I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. Literally the best tire shop I've ever been to. I went there because I had a slow leak in one tire and I assumed that I just picked up a nail and would have to have it plugged. As it turns out I did have a nail but it hadn't pierced the rubber so it wasn't the cause of the leak. After a thorough examination Marley, the guy working on my car, found there was an issue with a label that had not been removed from the tire, and rubber flashing that had been left on the tire from manufacturing, that was causing the leak. Also the rim was slightly bent from where I hit a pothole. Not only did they fix the tire, but they also took the other one off on that side to see if the rim was bent. It wasn't. Super competitive price, and friendly, knowledgeable service. I will be buying all my tires here from now on. read more

Within 2 hours of sending out my request, I had an appointment. They provided a bid for a nail in a tire repair of $43-55 (no further details or specifications). I was greeted by an exceptionally nice and welcoming young lady at the front desk. She was eager to help and got me going. I was interrupting her breakfast of Cup-0-Noodles, but she was kind and eager to do her job. I pulled the car to the repair bay and a mechanic took my key. 20 minutes later, I was out and paid. Negatives: *Bid was from $43-55....yet I paid $60. Not beefing about $5, but c'mon, if you make an estimate, you should honor it. It's not a good business practice to say you will charge one thing, then charge another price. I get it, I needed a patch instead of a plug. I wanted a patch instead of a plug. This could have been clearly written out in the estimate. Makes me wonder if I could trust the company with a more significant job, where $150 metastasizes to $200. *When I arrived, my appointment didn't migrate from the Yelp registration (even though it had been sent nearly 2 hours prior). The offered time apparently didn't make it to their paper appointment notebook, yet pleasant lady at the front desk handled it with alacrity. I was able to be seen at my appointed time. No guarantees that this would have been the case on a busy time when there were numerous other customers around. *Signage is poor. There are no Dominion Tire signs (they may even be in the process of a name change) and your SatNav may likely take you to the back area, where you'll have to pull around after being told that your car is in the wrong place. A handy sign on the back entrance would be great to direct customers around the block to the proper entrance and save them time of having to move their car *Sign of the times, perhaps?...Cash not accepted. You'll have to be part of the Visa/MC/AmEx tyranny if you want to do business here. Cash no good here. No word on whether they take BitCoin, which is supposedly better than cash. *Bill/receipt....Mr. Monocle always asks for a receipt, even though I was promised that an email copy would be sent. It wasn't, so I'm glad I asked. I won't be able to say "but they didn't email me what they told me they would!' to the IRS.... In conclusion: solid work, prompt, but rough around the edges. My rec to customers: if you are asking for an estimate, please be certain they will honor this price and ask as much.
