Came in on a Monday afternoon when they had zero customers and three workers, including a receptionist. I was on a time restriction, so I called ahead to make sure they could help. The receptionist told me they were empty and that removing a nail from my tire would take about five minutes. When we arrived, the receptionist was sitting in the waiting room on a personal phone call. She didn't acknowledge us at all for about five minutes. After she finally hung up, she helped us and said it would be closer to 10 minutes -- fine. What wasn't fine was what happened next. The man I assume is the owner stopped working on our car as soon as his friend walked in and started having a personal conversation with him. When he noticed we were clearly getting irritated, he said, "Two more minutes," then walked back into the garage with his friend. We eventually walked outside and saw him laughing, joking, and talking with his friend and the other employees instead of working on the car. A repair that we were told would take five minutes turned into almost an hour of waiting. To be fair, we paid $25 for the service, which isn't bad -- but the lack of professionalism and complete disregard for our time ruined the experience. One of my biggest pet peeves is when businesses don't respect their customers' time, especially after being told something very different upfront. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I felt it was necessary to write this review for safety reasons. This location has changed names/businesses throughout the years and I have been a loyal customer through it all but I will definitely not be going back and encouraging others to not go here as well. I went to the shop thinking they had an area just to fill my tires with air. I walked in and asked and they just said to pull my car up and they could quickly do it. A man came to my car and what I thought he was doing was filling my tires with air. It was very quick and after he was done I asked if I could compensate them and he said shook his head no. I drove off and was waiting for tire notification to go off on my dashboard but nothing. I was supposed to drive 70miles away that evening on the freeway and was making sure everything was safe with my car to do so (since there was a notification on my dash indicating it was extremely low and needed air in all of my tires). My plans changed and I didn't need to leave town that evening and thank goodness I didn't. The notification never went off on my car so I decided to go to a gas station to see if I needed more air in my tires. Well it turns out nobody had put air in my tires at all. So this man that was "helping" me at this shop literally faked putting air in my tires and sent me on my way. I will never do business here again and I warn everyone else thinking of taking their car to this shop. This was as simple as putting air in my tires. If you don't want to do it, tell me to go somewhere else instead of faking it and potentially putting my life at risk. I am absolutely disgusted. read more

I took my Ford Explorer for a simple front and rear alignment, and it came out of their garage with a fried battery. The battery was only 2 years old and it started up excellent as usual. I believe the mechanic sabotaged my battery by crossing current and trying it to get me to purchase a new battery from them. My battery would not hold a charge forcing me to go elsewhere and purchasing a new battery. This repair shop is not honest and they will RIP you off. I will never take my vehicles there EVER again. I took my car to Auto Zone and they tested my battery and it tested almost dead. They said the mechanic probably took a metal bar and placed it on the negative and positive terminal to short it out and fry the battery. He checked my charging system after purchasing a new battery and my charging system is excellent. If you haven't been ripped off, trust me it is only time and you will be upset and have a sour taste in your mouth. Dave, the owner knows nothing about the mechanics of a car. All he knows is how to air up tires. After they fried my battery, I said to him you owe me a new battery, he replied we are not responsible for batteries and then he replied batteries only last for 2 years. TV, vending machines, water cooler, bathroom and seating for about 10. The seats are not the most comfortable when waiting. But hey it's a tire shop. This is a very popular local tire store, so your better off leaving your car then waiting. Wait time varies depending on how many people are ahead of you. First come, first serve. I have booked an appointment a few times for convenance. Tires are their main gig, but they also do excellent work on brakes and other maintenance needs. I'm so happy I found this place! They took the time to educate me and could probably tell I was an anxious mother (kids were in tow) so they took even more time to reassure me. They are very honest as well. I convinced myself that I needed an alignment and was prepared to pay extra for it. I was informed the tires were bad and that's why it pulled to the right. No alignment needed so I saved some money. Thank you thank you guys for your honesty! I feel so safe in my car now! Will definitely continue coming here and recommend their services as well! I messaged them on Yelp (after I called AAA) about getting my flat tire fixed. They responded right away that I could drop off my tire and pick it up later. They quoted $20. There was a screw in it but I really didn't have time to worry about the tire. They are fairly close to my place of work so it was pretty convenient. I dropped it off at 4 and they came to get it from my car. I came back around 8:30 the next morning and they reattached the tire and put my spare back. It took about 20 minutes. Overall a pretty good experience and quick. I will update if the tire fails or something. :) read more

Nope. Just moved to Modesto and had to get an oil change. Looked in the coupon book, looked at reviews and decided on this place. I called in the morning and asked if I could walk in, in about an hour. The man that answered said sure. I didn't realize that this place is waaaay out in South Modesto. (My fault) I walk up to the desk and tell them I need an oil change. They tell me it's going to be an hour and half to an hour and 40 min!!!! I'm kind of taken aback and said I called earlier, blahblahblah. So I'm then I'm told by Allen that an oil change takes about an hour. (Condescendingly) ?????? Um- I literally have a 10 min Oiler changer down the street! (I didn't have a coupon for that place) Since when, Allen, does an oil change take almost an hour?? Anyhoo- I'm like fine- take my car. I'm already here. *eyeroll* They were done with my car in about 40 minutes. Great thanks. I get home and my wiper fluid is empty- bone dry. I figured they were a top off place too,(like every other place I've ever been to). But I guess that's extra. We have had tires installed here twice. On two occasions they have broke a stud on our trucks while charging the tires. The first time we let it go and paid to have it repaired ourselves. The second time is unacceptable... we spoke to Javier and his customer service was horrible. He basically said the stud must have had a crack in it and refused to do anything about it. We have had our tires changed at shops and changed them ourselves in the past and have never encountered broken studs. The studs are breaking due to their poor handling of our trucks. I am very disappointed that this company prides themselves on customer service when the workers/Javier do not take accountability for a damage that they called and told us happened while the vehicle was in their care. We tried to call and speak to the owner and were told he's out for a few weeks (by Javier). Customer service, quality of service, and accountability should be at 0 rating. Javier is horrible and we are disappointed that this shop is in our neighborhood and we won't be able to continue using them because of how we've been treated in more than one occasion! read more

I have been taking my car to Tire Pros on Yosemite for a few years fair prices, good service, as you can see from my previous review. Towed my car there last Saturday 8/21, they were busy and down 2 people so they said in might be Monday or Tuesday. They called told me what the issue was, I gave them to go ahead to fix it. They called Wednesday, didn't hear anything yesterday. My boyfriend just went to the shop and there is a sign on the door stating due to unforseen circumstances they are closed until Sept 1. Wow, these guys were great! Very courteous and got me in and out quickly with an 8 am arrival. I went in for a basic oil change and tire rotation. I drive an Infiniti and my tire pressure system hasn't been working in years due to the $300+ price tag associated with that service. I asked if they could possibly reset it and BAM! Done! I've been coming here for years. Yesterday it was my radiator was cracked and needed to be replaced. I took it in around 8:30 and it was done by 1. I know if I would of went to the dealership to have it fixed it would of cost way more. I like that they now offer a shuttle. But I don't live to far so my Husband just comes and gets me. This is the last time I will respond to the owners comments but I feel that future need to hear this. The owner is stating that her offered to fix my O2 sensor and that i left the shop showing no signs of being upset and then 2 weeks later he receives a complaint through the BBB, this is 100% not true. The reason I filed a complaint against the company was because I paid tire pros of Modesto to do a coolant flush on my vehicle. After everything that happened with the O2 sensor, yes I was already frustrated that I had to return to the shop 3 times to get that fix and they still had not fixed it. I had every intention on returning, however the following my son was admitted into the hospital. Then a week later, (2 weeks from the time they did the coolant flush), the vehicle began over heating. I took into my mother in laws repair guy this time, and he said there was barely any coolant in the car. He stated that he put a gallon and a half of coolant back into the car. I told him that we just had a coolant flush done 2 weeks ago, and he felt this was odd because there should have been coolant in the vehicle. But he said there could have been a leak. He checked the vehicle for leaks and there was none. He said if tire pros of Modesto had done the coolant flush correctly, there would be plenty of coolant in our car. We are very lucky that we noticed the car overheating otherwise the car engine could have been blown. The owner is also stating I'm bullying him online and that's completely wrong. I'm simply reposting the awful things he said to me to make sure that people know how he truly can be. You can't just go out and publicly embarrass someone, and than regret it and take it down. I've only reposted his comments to make future customers aware of mean they can be to their customers. The owner has failed to acknowledge how much of a hassle it was to return to their shop more than 3 times in a week and they still couldn't fix the problem, that they lied about test driving the vehicle because we have pictures to prove that they never took the vehicle even a mile, they just called us saying it was fix and every time we got it, it wasn't. He failed to acknowledge that if the coolant flush had been properly done, then there should have been coolant in our car since there was no leaks. The owner is stating that I'm hiring his health by re posting the negative comments he has said, but yet he doesn't care about the amount of inconvenience he has put us through. And honest shop would own to the mistakes they made which he has failed to do. So yes, this repair shop deserves one star and a bad review, and I hope that future customers take this review into consideration before going to this shop. Times are hard right now for everyone and it's hard to find a good repair shop and yes all people make mistakes, which we can forgive and give a second chance, but only when they own up to their mistakes. Used to be Big O Tires. It's the same owner, manager & staff. I have had issues in the past with over charges, or them messing up & keeping my car longer than promised. It was very stressful. Had a fairly decent experience. One of the staff members wasn't the friendliest but that's not what I went for. I got my car towed to Tire Pros of Modesto around 12pm thinking I had issues with my spark plugs. Come to find out there was more to the problem. Was told that it wouldn't get looked at until the next day but luckily someone didn't show up for an appointment and they were able to have it fixed by 3pm!
