I would only come to this location if you're okay with losing money and not having a reliable car. We've spent 6 months and over $10k in and out of here and are still left with a car we can not drive. We have broken down in the middle of the highway with 18-wheelers flanking us going 70 mph. They have had to replace the engine in our vehicle twice because their first replacement blew up while we were driving just weeks after they installed it. They have no problem taking your money and leaving you without a reliable vehicle. They do, however, have a problem with taking accountability. They place the blame on the customer for "not reading up on" what they're fixing. You as the "professionals" should not advise a solution that will not work. When trying to recoup ANY of the money we have put into the car to try to buy a new car, we were met with animosity and sarcasm from their COO, whose linkedin says he is "strong in customer relations" while clearly he is not. He also mentioned the "discounts" they've given us, which is in truth, the money they've eaten on warranty repairs because the repairs are unreliable and keep breaking. That's not a discount, that's a skill issue. I can't not even fathom putting someone into the situation that they have put us in and not trying to figure out a solution. Disappointed isn't a strong enough word for how I feel about the way this business is run. If you love spending money and not leaving with a vehicle that runs, then this is the place for you. read more

They understand that the customers' needs may be greater than the usual 8:00 - 5:00 work day. First off if you want a lift kit don't do it yourself let a pro do it. I wish I had asked tire world to do mine it was a headache and would have been worth spending the money. On top of that tire world has been great for a number of years for me. I tell everybody I know to go see em. They have worked relentlessly on a number of odd issues for me. I came to Tire World, because they are locally owned and they will also price match competitors in the area. Trish and Joey are great! They did not have the tire I needed in stock and it needed to be ordered from their warehouse in Nashville. I was told that the tire would be there the next business day in the afternoon. I went ahead and paid for the tire and left the rim with them, because Trish said they could just switch out the old tire with the new one and I could just come by to have it bolted on and be on my way. I made the purchase on a Friday. Fast forward to Monday. I hadn't heard from them and called to ask about it. I spoke to someone named Gator? He said the tire is there. Okay, was someone going to call and let me know? No. I told him I was going to swing by there and switch out the spare. He then let me know that they wouldn't be able to get to it. Excuse me, why not? I've seen tire guys take off and put the tire on the rim at light speed (not really, but it was pretty quick). So I let him know that I would just put the tire on the car, myself. Why? Because I was told that it would be done and now it cannot by the end of their business day. They close at 4:59 by the way. I came into the store to pick up the tire and it is still not on the rim. So I'm sitting here in the waiting room, writing this review about this establishment, all the while, I have somewhere else to be. No wonder they do no charge for installation, because it would take a lifetime to do. If your tires aren't a priority and you have loads of time to wait, then this place would probably be a great place to have your tires done. We have purchased tires here for years, but the culture of service is suffering. It's become apparent that once the money part of the work is complete, you're second, third, etc... had 4 tires and alignment complete in late March. Rear tire had a slow leak but every time I returned to have it checked their response is several hours... or major DETERRENT. Opened at 7AM, arrived at 7:12... same thing... hours. We'll never purchase another tire here.. their warranty means nothing and customer service lacks after you pay them. read more

We found ourselves on vacation in the Nashville area and I felt the GMC van wobbling, One look and I knew we were in need of a tire. The front right had worn past the steel belts and we were in danger of a hazardous tire blowout. It was late Saturday and we called around and they were the only tire shop in town that had our tire size in stock, it's the discontinued 9.5 R16.5 LT. not only did they have it in stock, but it was significantly cheaper than the other stores that couldn't have it delivered till next week. So we drove over to Tire World and had the Firestone Transforce Tires mounted and balanced. While the van was being shod with new rubber, we went over to Fat Mo's next door for what some believe is Nashville's best burger. Then we made ourselves at home in the big Tire World waiting area, which features a big TV and computer work areas. The service was completed promptly and there have been no problems. I told him my reason for being there, after asking me some questions about my 4 runner,I turned over the keys to him to check things out. Been going there for 12 years but no more after today. Second time in two days that I've gone in for a simple tire rotation and balance. Even made an appointment for 7 am this morning after they couldn't do the job yesterday. Arrived 15 minutes before they opened, and it still would have taken 2 or more hours if I had stayed. I have been going to tire world for years. Started in Smyrna, TN then started going to the one in Murfreesboro, TN when it opened. My wife went there on a Saturday morning recently. They told her it would be 2 hours since they were short handed. Fair enough. That is a long time for tires but they warned her and she could have said never mind. She stayed. Needless to say, she spent 3.5 hours there!!!! Absolutely unacceptable! While they know you can't leave once your committed, they certainly won't get our return business. read more

I was having trouble shifting gears, so to not mess it up any further, I had it towed to tire world (memorial blvd), get a call the next day that I needed new master & slave cylinders (whole hydraulic system replacement) and not only that, but my clutch was going out,.. And they could do all this, so nicely for me, for around $1700 tax included... !!?!? Seeing as my BF is a mechanic, I knew this was too high,.. So I call the HONEST working people at Transmission Masters in Lavergne, who could do it for a little less than a grand... Stay with me here.. It gets better.. Get it to TM, and what do you know?!?? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. Nothing. Not one thing could be found wrong with my car... Horrible service! 1hr 20 minutes to look at a flat tire and tell me it couldn't be patched. Then told he couldn't replace just one tire he had to replace all four. Lastly, instead of putting the tire back in the compartment in the floor where it belongs, they threw the tire and rim in the back, dirty, greasy, soiling my carpet. I have been dealing with Tire World for over 25 years but I will not deal with this business again. It has done my repair work and I have purchased all of my tires from this company. When you buy tires it agrees to rotate them free. I had my tires rotated today on my 2003 Ford Taurus that has 186,000 miles on it. When the rotation was finished the new manager, Brian, told me that my rear brakes needed to be replaced. The bid was $831.00 plus tax or a total of over $900. He also said my brake pads were almost down to "Zero." I could not believe this especially since Tire World did a rear brake job for me about 27,000 miles earlier. I am 71 years of age but I came home, pulled the rear wheels off and checked my brakes. One set of pads needed to be replaced which I did myself. The cost for a full set of rear pads was $38.41 but I only used half of a set. I went to talk with Jeff, one of the owners. I told him about the bid and he showed no concern. Then I asked how someone who was just rotating tires could tell so much about my rear brakes. He said they were trained to look at the brakes. Then Jeff said: "We can't make any money rotating tires." Apparently, however, the company can make plenty of money by telling customers they need $900 of unnecessary repairs. I made an appointment at 7 am they told me it would take a hour and half. 9 am still not done!!! When addressed to the desk the man said it took a little longer to take my tires off. Never mind that every tire laborer was running in and out getting coffee, and just having no sense conversation with the front desk. I thought because they were cheaper on tires I would try this place for my work truck, and I see now that spending another $100 somewhere else would have been beneficial for my business. I am SO impressed with this place! When I lived in Murfreesboro, Tire World had become my go-to mechanic shop. They always treated me well and were very good about explaining things in detail and answering all my questions. Last August (10 months ago) they replaced my clutch which had gone out. It was quite expensive to fix. I moved to CA in September. Then a couple weeks ago my clutch went out again, only 9 months after the replacement! I was rather unhappy as you can imagine and called Tire World to see about a warranty. They had me call their parts supplier who told me there was no warranty on clutch parts. I almost gave up, but then called Tire World back again. They agreed to pay my mechanic in CA for the complete cost of the new clutch! I didn't have to beg, plead, or get angry. I simply told them the situation and they said, "We'll take care of it," and they did. I am still in shock. According to my mechanic here, Tire World had installed the wrong size/type of clutch and used a conversion kit to make it work. It was a wonky set-up, crooked, and that's why it failed so quickly. My mechanic here said he didn't fault Tire World for that though. He believes the fault lies with the parts company for sending the wrong item. Anyway, Tire World did take responsibility and they made it right. I am very impressed that they went so far above and beyond for someone who wasn't even in the area anymore and able to be a continuing customer. I am telling all my friends in Murfreesboro to give Tire World their business. They are great people. My CA mechanic was amazed at the whole situation and said, "I've always heard people in the South are nice, and now I know that must be true!" (Note: I posted this on Google also) read more

Last week I called around The Boro looking for a firm that did radiator flushes. My antique had been setting for a multiyear time frame. The last time the radiator had been flushed was about 4 years ago. I saw Tire World advertised radiator flushes. I called and asked if they had a machine. I was told they did by the who ever answered the phone. I took the car there and sat where I could watch, and as it was taking so long, walked around. With a machine you can start the engine and flush it as well which is the right way. I saw antifreeze being drained into a pan on the floor. Wrong procedure for a flush machine. I questioned the person that checked in and was told the tech was new and didn't know where they stored it. It is my belief they did not have one as I can still see crud in the radiator. On Monday,my DIL brought her car in for rotation, balance and to have a tire fixed that keeps going flat. I met her and the baby there and took them for 3 hours. When we get back, they give her the car and she goes home. On her way the tire goes flat. Not fixed. She brought it back today, Friday, to fix the tire as they told her Monday afternoon that they couldn't do anything unless she drove the 45 minutes back. She got the car and on her way home the tire went flat. AGAIN. The owner stated that she told them the wrong tire and when they looked at it each time it was fine so they put it back on the car. Never told her they found nothing. Never asked her to show them. Just let her go with a baby for a long drive home. The treated her with disrespect and when I called, I got the same. It's not their responsibility to check the other tires in case. Tomorrow will be the third time this week her car comes back. read more
